My dad used to say, you don’t use uh the position, you don’t use people to advance your position, you use the position you have to advance people. And when you’re the backup quarterback, you certainly have a chance to influence people, but it’s different when you’re starting. And so, I think the opportunity to use an increased position to to, you know, help build people around me is what I enjoy doing and what I’ll do long after I’m done playing football. And so, um, it’s tempting in this league to try to use people to build your position, but I think the healthiest way to approach it is let me use this position, this opportunity to try to build people. And um and so when I look at my teammates, coaches, not saying that it’s my job to do that, but just knowing that you have an opportunity to, you know, help all together kind of build something.
