Atlanta Braves SIGN Joel Payamps

As the Atlanta Braves look to fix their bullpen this off season, they bring back reliever Joel Pians for $2.25 million. Jake Mastiani from locked on Braves and they had Pamps not too long ago, but decided to outright him, essentially non-tender him as he was projected to make around $3.5 million in arbitration, but then they do get a deal done with him for $2.25 million. So, in this deal, the Braves essentially save $1 million by not going through arbitration with him, non-tendering him, or outriding him, and then signing him back for 2.25 million. The righty was really good in 2023, but has regressed the last two seasons. Does have a mid90s for Seamer and a really good slider. So, potential depth for the bullpen. Still more than this needs to be done by Alexopoulos this off seasonason, but it does at least give them a little more little bit more depth back there in the bullpen for right now.
