Evening. Good evening. What’s the status of Baker this weekend? Right now, he has a shoulder sprain. He’ll get an MRI tomorrow. What you see from Teddy tonight, coach? Uh, he knows what to do. Obviously, we got to protect them a lot better. Not the ideal situation to be in when they got a big lead and they got their ears pinned back every play, but you know, he performed well under pressure. Baker aggravate the injury on the final play of the first half. Thought he heard it earlier. He said he was fine. He went back and he reagravated on the last play. What might be the ramifications if Baker is uh out for some time? Well, Teddy will play. If he’s out for some time, obviously we’ll bring up Connor from behind and we’ll go from there. very confident in what Teddy can do with a full week of practice taking every snap and every play. You know, we think he’ll be fine. You choose to keep Chris out for most second half considering how the game was going. Well, he was on a play count. You know, we had him on a certain play count for the first week and and we kind of got that accomplished. Um, looking back towards the Patriots of Bills games, you mentioned that fundamental football and doing the little things and execution in that area needed to improve. Uh looking at tonight, did you see more of the same happening there and what could go forward to fixing that? I saw a lot of guys get better. I saw some things we can do better. You know, it’s not everybody. It happens to be a guy here and a guy there and it ends up being the same thing. Uh obviously the big plays on defense, the three or four plays, the pick six when the ball bounces off and gets that taking that once you get off to a slow start that way against a team like that, they’re great within their own route, right? obviously. So, it’s hard to play catch-up in that aspect. Running game a silver lining. I mean, after a good week last week, they got over 100 again this week. I mean, I don’t know if it’s a silver lining. It’s something that we should be doing and it’s our bell cow, but we got to throw it better as well. And we got to play defense and special teams as well. So, you know, we got everything ahead of us. We’re pissed off. We got a bad taste in our mouth the last two weeks and we should be. Uh we come home for a three-game home stand. Everything we need to do is right in front of us, but we got a lot of work to do. You knew the Rams were a really good team. What uh if what what did they do that made it difficult for your team to handle? Well, they just executed and they executed. I mean, from the play calling to the quarterback to the receivers, to the offensive line, to the defensive front in the secondary. They out executed us and they outplayed us. Anything else? Thank you. All right. First time doing this this year. It’s unfortunate, but um and hats off to the Rams. Uh it’s a great football team to win up against tonight. Those guys got competed and um for us got to get back to the drawing boards, try to turn some things around. Coach B talked about it in the past. This team has took taken some losses early in the year and found a way to win. Uh right now we hit a little wall. We lost three games in a row and we just got to try to figure things out. Um we’re back home next week and um I’m just looking forward to getting back in front of our fans, fixing things and um just raising our level of play. Baker can’t go next week. What’s your confidence level with you under center you could keep a while? I’m very confident. Um, and you know, if it’s my turn, it’s my number and I just got to answer the bell. Full week of practice would make a big difference, I assume. Right. Yeah, definitely. The situation you came into, big deficit, that pass rush, being able to just kind of unleash, how how difficult was it to go in in those circumstances? Man, it was difficult just going in um after flying to LA today. Um, you know, I was back in Miami for a funeral. um my mentor actually passed away and I was back home for his funeral. So, you know, I got here today and um about 10:30 this morning and had to play in the game. So, I think it’s pretty cool. Uh my lifestyle is one like a rock star, I guess. But, um it’s unfortunate that, you know, it came by way of an injury. You know, you never want to see guys injured, especially your leader. But, um Bake’s a tough guy, man. He tried to come back out there today and and tough it out for the guys, and that’s that says a lot about him. Says a lot about this team. And to that point, Teddy, I think, you know, you’re down big, it’ be easy to go in the tank, but seeing you on the sideline, talking to the guys, you’re staying positive. You know, what is it that’s important to you for the guys to to not only do that, but for the guys to see you doing that, still coaching them up, still, you know, keeping the vibes high. Yeah, you got to give the guys that reassurance. Um, I don’t care if the score is 100 to zero. Um, I’ll be out there just continue continually continually trying to motivate guys. um that’s part of the coach in me. That’s part of the the player that I I am. But um at the same time, when I’m out there, it’s just fun because I always tell myself like I’m not even supposed to be here right now. So any opportunity that I get to go out there and play, you know, I’m going to make sure I I try to leave some type of everlasting impact. Um whether it’s on the field or off the field, your team’s lost a few here. Do you feel at least record-wise you should be a lot, you know, better spot than you are right now? The games played out the way they played out this year. You know, we’re right where we’re supposed to be, I guess. Um, we’re right where we’re supposed to be with room to improve. Um, with room to get better and, you know, as long as everyone takes that approach, everyone has that mindset that, you know, we got to get better, this team will get better. Baker came back up and was on the sideline, you know, um, during the second half. What was his demeanor like in speaking to you and you know just being back out there at that point in the game? I was very calm just making sure that I was good with the the the no huddle signals and the no huddle calls. Um you know still just being that leader that he is. Um so I appreciate him for that. Did you anticipate him missing some time here? Man, if I had a crystal ball or a text message in my phone that could tell me about the future, I’d be able to answer that. But um we take this one day at a time, man. And you know, I got to just continue to prepare the way I’ve been preparing all year. And um if it’s my number that’s called, I just got to go play. He’s a tough guy. He’s been willing to play through things, throw his body around. The fact that he got knocked out, does that give you any cause for alarm? No. I mean, you know, that’s the way Baker plays the game, you know. Um when when it’s going well, you know, everyone’s Oh, yeah. And then when something bad happens, oh, Bake should have didn’t know. That’s the way Bake plays the game. And that’s what makes Bake special. You know, his relentless effort every play. He tries to maximize every single play. You know, if it’s not there down the field, he’ll take off, try to run. Um, he’ll do everything he can to lay it on the line for this team, and that’s all you ask for from your guys. This is a a national game tonight. I’m sure you’re all fired up. How did the level of disappointment the way the team played in the outcome? Yeah, it’s a ton of disappointment. If you go in that locker room, if you listen to the speeches after the game, you get a feel for that disappointment. Um, you’ll see it this week in practice. Um, I’m pretty sure guys level the player will be raised and the standard will be raised around here uh for players and coaches. Been around with them all season, but um, you know, get in there with rookies like a Mecha Kuka and TZ Johnson out there. How is it kind of building chemistry with them during the live game and then you get a nice throw mecha there towards the end of there. Uh, how did it feel getting to really vibe with them live gun? Yeah, it was cool being out there with those young guys. Um, you know, the energy they they they bring to the game. Um, like you said, for me, just getting live reps finally with those guys. Um, it was great. Um, hit Mac on a nice end cut. Um, hopefully, you know, if like I said, if my numbers call and I just continue to develop that chemistry with those guys. But um if not, I just got to continue to find ways to get better as a player to to contribute to this team.
