I don’t think we were ever 9-3 that season if I remember correctly?
We had just killed the league darling Tennessee and looked like the best team in the leauge, then favre got hurt and sutton and mangin lost their nerve on defense. Sad way for that season to end.
It was crazy how after that Titans game the league completely stopped play and nothing else happened that season.

Anyone else remember the back to back AFC Championship games? Ahh those were the days
So I just looked it up – it says the Jets traded for Brett Favre Aug 7 2008 … at the time, I was working Tuesday through Saturday, but I basically only didn’t have to close on Thursdays. When the trade was announced, I went nuts – I felt very bad for my favorite Jet and main man, Chad Pennington – but it’s not every day you get Brett Favre – having already signed an All-Pro Guard and Pro Bowl Tackle, plus a Rush LB in Calvin Pace to what I think was the biggest Defensive Guarantee of all-time, plus, you know, Ty Law… – and I went NUTS at work, my Indian coworkers were like “What is the big deal??” – Imagine if your Cricket Team got the best player around … OHHHH RIGHT, VERY GOOD VERY GOOD 🤣🤣🤣
I then dropped like $500 on an Authentic Favre Jersey right off NFL.com , and $50 for Priority Overnight / Next Day Air shipping.
Except I didn’t get it for over a month.
The deal was, they told me, they needed time to start “processing & preparing Custom Jersey Orders” – what *CUSTOM* , it’s Brett Fuckin Favre, it ain’t a Falcons Ron Mexico #7 Jersey … – but they promise, *once* they actually make it, and then box it up to ship, when it GETS TO THE SHIPPER, it will be processed Overnight.
So $550 for a jersey I didn’t get until AFTER the season opener and he played one season for us with not even the Playoffs.
OH YEAH, AND HE SHAMED US ALL WITH HIS HOT-FSU-CHIC *DICK-PICKS* …
Woohoo, still got that bitch in my closet. What’s $550 between you and a friend, screw it…
