LIVE: Postgame Media OTT 3 SJS 2
Let’s go. [Music] How’s it feel to get one in this building and come away with two points after this? Uh yeah. Uh what a night. No, I mean it felt felt unreal. Uh great uh great pass by club there find me in the middle and then uh I thought I had Ky on the uh other side too, but I yeah shoot is not a bad option either, you know. and overall getting the win, another resilient effort to battle a way back in this one. What did you see from the team overall here tonight? Uh yeah, I mean uh half of the game uh the rest half of it we play really good. I mean we we do everything right out there, you know. We skate, we check, we do uh we play a hard game, you know, and uh they have a tough time to handle that. I mean, we know we’re a good team and we got to play like that every night and uh uh yeah, we do a really good job. Spoke past couple days about Dylan and about Lars on that line with you. What do you see from their contribution overall with you tonight? Uh yeah, I mean like I said before uh two really good players. Uh uh makes it easy for me to be around there and out there with them on the ice and uh yeah we we building some more chemistry. What does it say about the resilience of this group again as mentioned battling your way back in this one getting a little late in the second resilience of this group so far early on this trip? Uh yeah I mean we stick with it you know uh we have the same thing in Anaheim and uh yeah we do it today again and uh yeah we move on after the goal. you kind of hit your stick on on the glass there. Was that kind of the release of the frustration that had been building or was that just excitement or? Uh to be honest, I don’t really know. Uh just happened so fast. Uh uh I think I actually hit that before right there. So uh yeah, nice to do it again. Perfect. first off, maybe just what do you see from the team here tonight? Uh, great game. Uh, I thought we started a little slow and then, uh, I think we took over halfway through the game to be honest. I think, uh, we didn’t give them a whole lot. We created a lot of chances off our for check, which is, uh, usually our bread and butter. And um you know what, I thought we we didn’t give their their young guys, their top players a lot of room to get creative and and to make plays. So I thought overall pretty good game from everybody. And for you personally back in action, how do you feel out there? Felt great. It’s I mean there’s nothing worse than missing time. So uh felt great to be back out there and and playing with my teammates. A couple good looks for you in the offensive zone as well as the game went along in the second period specifically. What did you see from the group in the Ozone and the second? I think we like I said when we took over the game they uh um we didn’t they didn’t have anywhere to go and we created a lot of turnovers off of forec and then it led to a lot of ozone time for us and um obviously would you like to see more go in for sure but I mean uh it changed the momentum and it gave us a lot of rhythm to to get back into it and win this game. A lot of different reps as well with Jordan and with Nick on your deep pairing so far here tonight. Just maybe what did you see from the overall makeup of the deep pairs when you spent time with those? Yeah, it’s great. I mean, they’re fun guys to play with and uh thought Nick and I had a great night overall. We didn’t give them a whole lot obviously um better on breakouts and we uh didn’t spend a whole lot of time. So, I mean, it’s off uh it’s on to keep building and and focus in on on that and take that over to to Monday night. Fore. Thanks. Let’s go. [Music] I just know if he needs a draw really really bad, uh, he’s winning it. So, uh, it’s, yeah, it was incredible to watch. Fabian has struggled offensively this year a little bit. How much did it mean to see him get on the board, especially against his former team? Yeah, I wouldn’t I wouldn’t say he struggled. Um, he’s getting lots of looks. Uh, he’s playing the right way. Uh he’s for checking really hard. Uh goes to the right areas and um yeah, just great to see him get rewarded, but uh I wouldn’t say he’s he’s struggled at all. Yeah. Let’s go. [Music] back games with the team gets a late goal in the second, battles back. What did you see from your team here tonight? Just a, you know, a real another gritty effort. A lot like the other night. Um, I thought we played decent in the first half of the game and then I thought we kind of picked up the pace of our game with our tracking and our our forch check and uh spent a lot of time in their zone. Had a lot of good looks. Uh, it was a it was a nice win. After the Sharks were able to make it a two-1 game, a lot of pressure in the offensive zone. What did you see from the group in the Ozone? We just got a little we got on our toes. We started tracking pucks whether it was off our forche or in the ozone. rebounds. Uh allowed us to spend some time in their zone. We had shorter shifts and uh yeah, it was a good game. Aben Zetler gets the goal of the equalized back in San Jose. What do you see from him and that line overall? Yeah, nice game. Um you know, nice to see him get rewarded finally. He’s been snake bitten, but uh you know, we had a lot of good efforts by everyone tonight. And Claru late in the faceoff circle, you put him out there for multiple draws. Just how important is a guy like that to have them? Uh it’s, you know, we’ve got a lot of good centermen that are good on faceoffs, but G’s a veteran guy and, you know, he can always count on him and came up with a big night in the circle tonight. Lena Smark also with some big saves down the stretch. Couple solid starts for him now over the last little bit. What did you see from him tonight? Liked his game. Thought he tracked the puck well. Um, you know what I liked is at the end of the game, you know, you know, when the they have an empty net and we had ice it a few times, they’re going to get some looks uh and your goalie is probably going to have to make some saves. And he came up at the end. [Music] [Applause]
