Celebrini on Why Askarov So Tough To Beat, | Sharks vs. Bruins Post-Game (11.23.25)
response tonight after yesterday’s game. Yeah, I mean we didn’t we didn’t play well um yesterday by any means. So, um it was really nice to kind of come out and play a pretty close to a complete game. How much of a calming effect does the slot have back there for this group? Yeah, I mean he’s just been unreal. Like you can’t really put it into words. He’s uh he’s our uh rock every night and um yeah, he’s been incredible. What can you say about the atmosphere tonight? I mean, just really this home stand. It’s the building’s been rocking and how much has that how much has the team gotten from that? Yeah, I mean it’s nice not playing on 8 at 8:30. So, so uh people can come, but it’s been great. I mean, the atmosphere um our fans, the chance um gives us energy. What do you see on your power play goal? Obviously, you know, you guys still, you know, don’t convert as many chances, but it looked like it was a little more crisp. What What was working well on the power play and on your goal? Yeah, I mean, we had plenty of chances and I thought we uh we we kind of did a better job at least gaining momentum. Um not just going out there and whacking the puck around. Um we uh we strung some chances together, which was nice. It it kind of gives your group life. And um I mean that was just an amazing screen by by Wy and um he’s just been awesome in front of the net. And you practice against as far off. What makes him so tough to beat? I mean I think you can see it. He’s just everywhere. You think you have him and you don’t. Um yeah, I mean he’s uh super athletic and um I mean I think it’s when when you think you have them, you really don’t. You guys had a tough game yesterday. How nice was it to come back? Looks like you guys were able to kind of use yesterday’s game as, you know, momentum for tonight. Yeah, I mean it was great. We uh it’s tough back to back against two good teams and um I mean we didn’t get the result or played uh where we wanted to yesterday. So um thought we did a better job tonight. So after at the time of your goal, you guys were up two zero. Uh did you think that that would stand up as the game winner? I didn’t even No, I didn’t think of that. What’ you see on uh the your defensive play on the empty net goal? You back check and caught that ruin there. Yeah, I mean I think one of the things is we don’t want to sit back as much when when we when they have their goalie pulled I think um as much as you can pressure pressure teams um that cause mistakes and I mean as a fiveman unit we did a good job kind of keeping on them pressuring them and I mean um that was a fortunate bounce. in the second period. Demetriov, you know, threw that big check and then Deandrew drew a power play. You guys were maybe on your heels. How much of a momentum shift was that hit by Orof? It was amazing. Um I mean I I uh played played against him last year when he was on Carolina and um he stood me up. Not like that thankfully, but he’s done that to me. So um it’s not easy to get around him and um that definitely gave us life. Um and then move by Delhi. I mean that’s a sports center top 10 if that goes in. So um he’s been unbelievable for us as well. What did the add to your line? Um I think we’re just trying to find some some um chemistry. We haven’t really been scoring too much five on five. So we want to kind of gain more momentum five on five and just finding combinations at work. And um I mean I think his his resume speaks for himself. I think he’s just a great player. Just the way he uh he gets on pucks, how smart he is, and um how he’s able to execute on on plays.
