The Bruins Are Dealing With a SIGNIFICANT Problem…

The Boston Bruins biggest problem has been revealed and has become very evident over the most recent stretch of games on this Western Conference road trip. We’re going to be breaking it down, going over how this change can make one serious impact in the absence of some of the Bruins best players due to injury here in this video. Before we do jump into it though, ladies and gentlemen, I ask you one favor and that’s if you haven’t already, be sure to hit the sub button, join me here on the channel. We’re covering everything Bruins and even with a slow stretch, this team looks really, really good and a lot of positive things are still coming our way over these past few games. So, like I said, you want all your news, hit the sub button, join me here. We’re covering it all every single day. But, we need to jump straight into this. And I feel like Marco Sturm has been very clear over his tenure with this Bruins team that he is not a not afraid to call a spade a spade. Call out any issues with a player, this team throughout a game, a referee, whatever. We know Marco Sturm is a guy that will be honest no matter the scenario. And with a few things that have passed have happened over the past few games for this Bruins team, he has done it once again. He’s come out and said this after last night’s game against the San Jose Sharks. We just didn’t find our game during the first half. Found ourselves again too many times in the penalty box. Another frustrating night. We played good but left points here in the building. That has been one thing for this Bruins team that has been very clear over these past handful of games in the Western Conference road trip. It’s been an issue this season, let’s not lie. But the Bruins have been able to capitalize on their mistakes luckily throughout some games. But it shows in this past game specifically against the San Jose Sharks along with the Aeroslav Ascarov playing a phenomenal game that the penalties are taking away from what this team can provide. And you go and look here at the team stats, 22 penalty minutes for the Bruins against San Jose. You have 35 shots, 30 hits, 50/50 on the faceoff. You’re really in theory dominating the game. When you have 35 shots, you shouldn’t lose. Catch a hot team, yes. Playing against one of the best players in the NHL in Mlin Celabbrini, yes. But this Bruins team has done it. They’re the only team to beat Colorado in regular regulation this season. Shows how good they are. So games like this where you have the ability to win. You’ve shown the ability you can win. Morgan Geeki is scoring again. You can’t fall back on him. Things have to be cleaned up. You cannot afford to go down on a penalty kill against teams like this. It just simply will not go. And I feel like also having your team second in penalty minutes, only three behind the Flames throughout this season and quite a big gap between two and three here has been a root issue. You look at the Calgary Flames, they’re one of the worst teams in the NHL. Boston should easily jump over here, be, you know, one of the top teams in the NHL this season. The roster hasn’t necessarily been a phenomenal team on paper, but it is working. Whatever they have, they love it. They want to keep it the way it is. Don’t change what’s broken right now, but what is broken is these penalty minutes. And it’s been pretty clear over these last few games. Even though Carolina, Anaheim, Ottawa, San Jose, some very, very good teams this season, the difference between these games, I mean, a 4-3 loss against Anaheim, 5-3 against Ottawa, 3-1 against the Sharks in Carolina, the difference could be a power play goal, an even strength goal, making sure you’re not going to be down on a five on four for two minutes in the game. Even two minutes can change the course of a game. And that has been a very, very big issue. And it has been continued. Marco Sturm saying that it is one big issue. It’s probably feet. He said during the mounting of penalties, little bit of stupidity, I would say it just is the way it is. We’ve got to be smart. And he subtly called out the Bruins here. Now, obviously, they’re doing good. OB, you know, you don’t want to go and berade the team for saying, “Oh, they’re not scoring. They’re not playing great defense.” Because they’ve been doing a whole lot of that, but the penalties have been the issue that really is getting under Marcos Sturm’s skin at this point. And rightfully so. Now there are players here who their role to be physical to go spark a fight. Nikita Zidorov being one and you know he’s going to lead the team in penalty minutes regardless of what is happening and that’s his job. You know he’s a great defender. He’s been a leader this year. He’s sticking up for his teammates. He’s making sure that players and teams hate and I mean hate to play against the Bruins. wants to go back to that mindset that you see the Bruins on the schedule, you are afraid two weeks out and that really is the case so far this year and I’m very happy to say that we’re back to that style of Bruins hockey after a slight hiatus. But when you look at at least right now, this is sort of by penalty minutes, like I said, going to be on top regardless. Mark Castlick, you can expect him there. Honestly, Tanner Chano less than I expected, which I’m not complaining about because he’s been a very solid player this year. nine points in 24 games. Makavoy up there. You want to see him in the penalty box less of course now being out a little while. We have an expected return date of at least mid December. He’s a guy that you want on the ice as long and as much as possible. Jeffrey Viel, eight games played, 28 penalty minutes. I mean, that’s just ridiculous. Honestly, let’s let’s be clear there. But when you’re going down the rest of the lineup, too, there’s a lot of players here that you want to see on the ice the most. And of course, fights are going to count for those five minutes for the penalties on that. But this Bruins team need to clean up the stupid penalties. Of course, a penalty is going to happen. Some calls are bad, some are good. It is what it is. But when you see this Bruins team come out here, take a stupid penalty, especially offensive zone penalties, those are what you cannot afford to take when you’re looking for more goal more goal scoring from the rest of your lineup. when Morgan Geeki cannot really come out here and uh you know puts four in the back of the net every single game although it seems like he can do that. We’re going to jump into that here in a moment. But Marco Sturm did speak out and really go over the way that he thinks this could be cleaned up by the Bruins saying obviously we’ve got to talk to the group. We already did a bunch of times and we have to find a way because five penalties tonight it’s going to be hard. It’s going to be a hard season. players are too good, too skilled to be on the power play and we have to correct it. And I feel like Marco Sturm really kind of just put out there exactly what I was thinking as well that the league is too good now to be able to take a penalty and try and get out of it. You know, there’s elite goal scorers now. there have been the past few years, but I feel like this year you’re really starting to see a spark in a lot of players and there’s a major risk going down and we’ve been seeing the past couple of games after this major win streak by the Boston Bruins. But that is something that is a lot easier to clean up than majority of things that you may see mistakes, you know, of across the NHL. So, I’m still liking where the Bruins are. Clean up the penalties. we’re back in that win column for a big run. But I think a lot of that has come from has came from Morgan Geeki. There’s been no surprise about that. When you’re looking at him throughout this season, once again, having this stat card from last night from a 3-1 loss, still so much positive. I feel like that’s a big thing where you’re seeing the penalties really kill this team. I mean, nobody necessarily played bad. You see some on the minus, but a lot more on the positive, which is the good thing here. And the major thing that we’ve been really looking to see a penalty can change this completely like I said and you know I feel like that’s something that has been evident this season and Marco Stern was not afraid to say it but when you’re having a guy like Morgan Geeki the lone goal scorer for the Bruins in this game be able to control a game himself and be among some of the top players in the NHL in goal scoring and tied for number one with Nathan McKinnon on a Colorado team which is just absolutely ridiculous this season and we may see records come from. But you’re looking at a guy who’s on a steel of a contract. People thinking that that was going to be a dud. Morgan Geeki is not just playing good hockey. He’s playing elite level hockey. He’s playing, you know, incredible goalcoring hockey among some of the top names across the NHL. You don’t normally see, with all respect to Morgan Geeki here, of course, he’s playing fantastic. You don’t see a name like that every day among names like Nathan McKinnon, Mlabbrini, Leon Dry, even Bo Horvat here. These guys are having special seasons. And Morgan Geeki, I would say, is just a little bit higher because of what we’ve seen him do these past season and a half at this point. So, shout out Morgan Geeki. Continue. Keep it up because you are putting this team on your back and this team is working with you to get to where they are right now. when as long as he’s hot, this team is hot, this team is rolling high, and as long as the penalty minutes are cleaned up, we’re in a very good spot. So, ladies and gentlemen, let me know what you think the issue is for these penalty minutes, how it can be cleaned up, if there’s any changes that you think can be made visually about this team to clean up the penalty. I’m very curious to see what you guys have to say. But that is all I have in this video. If you did enjoy, give it a like, hit the sub button as well. I’m signing out though. Thank you for watching. Hope you have a great day. See you later.

The Boston Bruins have ONE major issue that needs to be addressed and Marco Sturm has implied as being their biggest issue that has become prominent over the last few games for the Bruins. The penalties are the one big thing holding back the Bruins in close games with Morgan Geekie and co. igniting the offense.

  1. Yes penalties are a problem but thats not the main issue. Neely wants players that can skate through a brick wall but the problem is these players can’t hit the broad side of a barn.

  2. Zadorov is a clown his brilliant play at the end of the game was pathetic, how many times has he made a stupid pass in his own end the last two years? He is no leader remember his attack on swayman last year, he should not have a A on his sweater.
