The um Jags win this game in overtime 27 to 24. Top five graded players that we have for Jacksonville in this game. Tied in Brett Strange back in the lineup. 90.8 overall grade. He is such a key part of what they do. He really is running the ball obviously as a receiver as well. He’s just such a key part of him. Uh quarterback Jiren Jones is an 78.9. Wide receiver Parker Washington 781. uh safety Ryan Lane the third with a 779 wide receiver Jacobe Myers a 736 and then Trevor Lawrence a 63.9 on Arizona side of things Yalda Frh hold their center with a 77.1 safety Buddha Baker a 775 edge rusher Xavan Collins a 76.7 wide receiver Michael Wilson another massive day for him 72.7 defensive tackle Kas Campbell with a 681 and the Jacobe Brassette a 64.4 four. Seth told the story, Dan. So, there’s a handful of things here, but at the end of the day, I was watching this game through again and just almost wondering how Arizona lost this game. They just didn’t take advantage of any of the million plus four in the turnover, right, department. They they got four turnovers. Yep. They only scored on two of them. Yeah. And then Yeah. two of them two of the picks were punts afterwards, right? And and the I mean you had the one was a defensive score from Walter Nolan. So you had three times your offense got the ball after an interception and they only scored once, right? Yeah. And uh No, they scored a touchdown once and then they got a field goal on a different one. They only went one. They only No, they only scored once. I think it was That’s what I’m saying. Was it It was the field goal, right? No, I think there was a touchdown off of that one. Let me look at it again. I don’t know if you’re right because I thought the touchdown was the Walter Nolan one. No, but there was a sec. That was a that was a fumble though. It went interception. They had an interception that was a punt that the next possession was a punt. They had an interception that the next possession was a punt. So, they didn’t get any points off of that. And then I thought one of the turnovers was a was a field goal and then the other turnover was the touchdown. Obviously, we’ll fact check that. But either way, they also between the four turnovers and not capitalizing on that enough and only going one for three in the red zone, the Cardinals just missed every opportunity to win this game to me. And I mean, even going down to the very end in the fourth quarter when they they drove down and kicked the game-winning field goal. Sure. But Michael Wilson brought that ball inside the 10 yard line with what 40 to 42 seconds left. I thought No, it was longer than that. Or it was shorter than that. It was like in the 20s, I believe. I thought I thought it was longer than that because there was plenty of time for them to maybe it was longer and it just took way whatever it was the delay after that big catch just took way way too long and then they settle inside the 10 plus they had a 33 yardd field goal that they missed earlier in the game in the second quarter. I I mean you’re just looking at you’re looking at a lot of missed opportunities. Here we go off of Trevor Lawrence’s three interceptions. Three and out. You’re right. Touchdown. Three and out touchdown in the fourth quarter. The Greg the Greg Dorch touchdown. Um, Trevor Lawrence was high and low. He made plays when he had to. He made a lot of mistakes as well. He’s He’s still disappointing to me. I I No, I get it. I mean, he’s regressed each of the last two years in turnover worthy play to big time throw ratio. And this year, he has a higher turnover worthy play rate than he does a big time throw ratio. It’s the first time in his career. Oh, he gets him in tr No, we’re going to we’re going to find out. Look, they’re one game back of first place from Indie. No, we’re about to find out the next six games what Trevor Lawrence is. This is honestly this probably the biggest six games of his career coming. What’s his contract? Heavy actually. Yeah. I I I know it’s heavy, but I mean they’re they’re they’re in with him next year. I mean he just signed that. But I mean I I just look at I looked at this game and I went man the Cardinals they gave you a million chances to win this game even down to the very end of the fourth quarter. Oh yeah. Okay. His career Yeah. his contract is is long. And then, you know, they they just to me, this is honestly kind of just been the Cardinals whole season is a game like this of h you have chances and just for some reason you just don’t win the ball game. And the Jags, look, credit to the Jags, credit to Liam Cohen for just finding a way to win despite a million mistakes that they did make, especially Lawrence did make, but defense made stops when they had to, held them to field goals when they had to, and you know, found enough B. There was, look, Lawrence did some good things in this game, too. It just came with a lot. And that’s really kind of been the frustrating part is there’s he’s been, I think, a lot just such a high and low quarterback ever since he’s been in the league. And that’s the one part I’d be concerned just hasn’t quite gotten fixed yet is that this offense still feels like at times that they have to hide him. Yeah. Because of that, um Devin Lo is excellent in this game. I think he’s having a fantastic year. He’s hitting free agency. What a hell of a time to have a contract year for him. 82.3 run defense grade, 90.6 pass rush grade. He is just consistently attacking the pocket at a really high level. He struggled a little bit in coverage. He gave up three catches for three first downs, but um that’s why his coverage grades a little bit lower, but he is he’s still a linebacker who could truly do it all. So, I continue to be very impressed with Devin Lloyd. My stat that told the story was honestly the Cardinals run game. Now, I get it. They don’t have Trey Benson. They don’t have James Connor. Like, it’s it’s it’s worth mentioning. It is. But 55 total rushing yards for this team. You talk about a team that needs to draft O linemen. Arizona Cardinals. The way that I look at it right now, they have one guy who is guaranteed to be starting next year on their offensive line. Yep. And that’s Paris Johnson Jr. Will Hernandez is a free agent. Um Jonah Williams is a free agent for them. Y’all hold it could be their center. I’m not saying that they have to replace all four spots. He could be their center. But I think he’s fine. If you could find an upgrade, maybe. But maybe you’re good with him at one of those spots. So he could be one of the centers. Um, Evan Brown, I don’t think should be a starter for you next season. And then you have Isaiah Adams, who I think could be a starter guard for you, but he’s been very up and down as well. So, to me, this is a team that desperately needs offensive line help. I thought that last off season, and they did not make any moves along the offensive line. Now, I can’t really discredit the moves that they make. They drafted Walter Nolan. They drafted Will Johnson. Like, these are really good football players. They spent this they spent this whole offseason getting better on defense and they got a lot better on defense, right? It has its flaws. They’ve had injuries at corner and they still linebacker linebacker is the other biggest need on this team. It it is. But like Cody Simon’s playing better and you’re not you can’t fix everything right off the bat, right? So they’ve got Buddha Baker, Jaylen Thompson’s playing well. They have DTD behind him. You’ve got Garrett Williams. You’ve got Max Melon. You’ve got Will uh there’s at least Will Johnson. Uh Shawn Murphy Bunting is is on the non- football injury list. Um you have the defense like I think the defense is good but this team needs help on the offensive line and I think that that was another factor here. We’re going to see come the off season depending on where they’re picking probably 80% of Cardinals mock drafts. You’re going to see one of those right tackles just offensively. It’s just going to it’s well there’s a lot of right tackles in this class. There’s a lot of right tackles in this class. So that’s that’s something that it it will be that’ll be the case is the offensive line’s going to have to get fixed unless again who knows what’s happened with this quarterback situation. Yeah, it’s true. Anything else on this one before we move on? Uh just throwing out there that look to me I I know the run game’s been good all of that. Brentton Strange I think is actually the key to this whole Jags offense. Since he got hurt they were leading the league in 11 personnel usage. All right. And he had a great game individually in this game. 91.2 receiving grade, five catches, 93 yards. The fun thing about that, all five of those catches, Trev, the Jags were in 12 personnel. They they when Strange was hurt, they couldn’t get in 12 personnel. They use 12 personnel now in this game on half their plays. With them being so short at receiver, no Brian Thomas, no Travis Hunter. Brettton Strange, it sounds crazy because they have ETN and Lawrence and the receivers when they’re healthy and all of that. Brettton Strange is the key to their whole offense and I think he showed that again right away coming back in his first game in this game. It was so big to get him. I’m not sure. I I don’t know that they win this game without him. He just that that’s what Liam Cohen wants to be in. He wants to be in 12. You’ve got him. You’ve got Hunter Long. You have Johnny Munt. But you could feel the difference strategically in this offense without Breton Strange. It is so good to have him back and have him out there. And Liam Colin can really use the full depth of his offense

  1. Strange was horrible in blocking yesterday idk how his grade was so good. Can y'all ever talk in a positive way about the Jags? All y'all do is talk about how the other team lost the game even when the Jags blew out the Chargers it was still how they lost. Jags still full on injuries and no credit. If this was the Chiefs only thing that would be being said is great teams win the close games and find ways to win with turnovers.

  2. Man I just wish Jags could get 2 Playoff wins so people can just stop hating. It's historically accurate, Baker was crap his whole career and now after a terrible half (yes he got injured but 41 yds and 2 INTs at the Half is abysmal) and nobody cares. Because he found success in Tampa.

  3. Jaguars would have won by 21 if they didn’t have 4 turnovers. But they made up for their mistakes. They can fix that. We are a complete team and will make a good run in the playoffs. Go jags

  4. His big throw numbers are down because they refuse to throw down the field! There’s been two (to my knowledge) go’s attempted through 11 games. 2. With Trevor Lawrence, BTJ, Hunter (BTJ and Hunter in 8), Dyami Brown. Trevor has dug us out of so many holes this year because of leading the league in drops and penalties. He’s having a much better year than the numbers indicate. Look at the record. You think a mid quarterback would lead a team to 7-4 with those issues?
