yes, nico harrison was (and likely will be) the worst thing to happen to this franchise in a very long time – but dwelling on nico even after he’s gone will only make you feel worse. i understand wanting to be negative, but come on 😭😭 there’s more to this team than nico’s failings

  6. I respect those that feel like “dwelling on the trade” and the idea it takes away from your fun as a fan. I can see how some fans (especially newer and younger fans) can feel like this isn’t appropriate or cool or fun.

    I also respect the fans who enjoy and have fun dumping on Nico. I honestly think it’s part of the identity of being a Mavs fan at this point. I for one will never forget and never quit talking about it until the ownership is also fixed.

    Let the hurt fans vent. If it brings you down as a fan, please just ignore the post and scroll until you find a post that doesn’t bother you.

    Go Mavs and fire Nico!

  11. Mods been deleting some of it, which they should but then people complain the mods are nazis. Luka on the lakers is off topic here, I think that is reasonable. If you want to relive luka mavs moments get after it.

  12. I actually watched Luka for just a bit yesterday. It was the first and only time I watched him since the trade. I don’t watch the Mavericks or any NBA because of that terrible trade. But watching those few highlights of Luka made me angry all over again. He dribbled the ball through the legs of the first defender, then retrieved the ball, tip toeing along the sideline, culminating in an alley oop to another role player.

The people who allowed Nico to do this (Miriam Adelson who let her son in law Dumont run things) need to continue reaping the consequences (an unhappy fanbase who talks shit and doesn’t buy tickets) until they bring in a competent GM and replace Dumont with a governor who watches and understands basketball

    Nico absolutely fucked up the franchise with the Luka trade. There’s no doubt about it. But this sub now feels like the pathetic ex that refuses to move on even though his ex-girlfriend is happy in a new relationship.

  21. While I understand that it’s warranted a lot of the time, I do wish that I had the ability to just filter out those posts. I’ve been on reddit for nearly 20 years and I’ll say this isn’t unique just to this subreddit. r/nba used to be majority highlights and discussion.

    The combination of reddit becoming more popular and online dialogue becoming more hyperbolic has made all subreddits significantly worse.
