Ugh, this isn’t going to end well
This management group should not be the ones to trade these guys. JR and PA messed up. They should be gone and not allowed to clean this up.
Kane & Sherwood are veteran players
Realistically who does this point to, besides Garland, Kane, and Sherwood? Every other “vet” has an NMC or the article explicitly states they arent on the chopping block
rebuild finally?
Please don’t trade for 23 year old players to get “younger”
Trade for draft picks and kids under 20. This ain’t a retool situation.
I bet its a planted story to wake up the team. Maybe Myers and Kane will throw a hit or two next game

In all honesty, this fits Rutherford’s MO. Leak trade rumors to motivate the players. We’ll see if he pulls the trigger on anything, but I do think any trade that doesn’t get futures here is just spinning the wheels of this hopeless enterprise.
EP40, Boeser, Garland, Debrusk, Hronek, MPettersson, Demko, Lankinen all have significant term (5 of those deals signed this calendar year too.) Myers has a NMC. How many other veterans with value does this team have? One? (Sherwood)

Fucking burn it down. I’m on team rebuild now. Looking around, I dont see how we can make it to the playoffs in the next 4 years with this roster, so what’s even the point?
Trade Hughes to Chicago or Utah. From Chicago you could get Frondell as a baseline, along with multiple 1st round picks, or other higher end prospects (Levshunov, Greene, Moore, Rinzel, Korchinski) etc. From Utah you can pillage their high end prospects in the cupboard (But, Desnoiyers, Iginla, Beaudoin, Lamoureux, Simashev), and their large amount of draft picks left over from the Coyotes era.
Garland or Hronek could fetch a 1st + high end prospect
M Pettersson, Sherwood, DeBrusk, Myers, Forbort, Kane, maybe Hoglander, Blueger, Chytl can all fetch anywhere from at least a 1st to a 2nd, to quality prospects coming back.
Tank for McKenna, suddenly you have Willander, Lekkerimaki, D Petey, Mancini, Cootes, Medvedev along with 5-10 great picks & prospects as well
Considering Alvin’s trade history, I would not get excited about the results of these future trades.

Just have it be known that when Kane is eventually moved on that I hated him from the get go and was downvoted incessantly.
I mean, This is all they can really do……..IF they convince Hughes to stay it would take a full rebuild and the only ones that would bet safe would be him and Ep40……..
