Sort of what we see in overtime now at three on three. When it’s five on five, there should be that connectivity that they’re talking about. Everybody close together. Battles all over the ice. It’s how the game is played when it’s score. Gabricov from the left point with traffic in front. The Rangers have their first lead of the night. Lafrenier, if you watch it, it’s just it’s sort of pinballing around. No one really has full control. Low to high-ish and a wrist shot that gets through. The Rangers take the lead. So, Gabricov will pick up an assist after his two-point game Saturday. Stugger pushing the puck too far ahead. Blues nearly had a threeon-one break. Now neighbors stopped by Sharkin over to play the puck. Now Sunquist out for Torchenko and now Mayu with a shot blocker aside. 13 and a half remaining in regulation. Fowler’s shot gloved. Panaran shot missed the net. Brazinski sends it back around. Here’s Panaran. Shoot. Saved by Hoffer. Panaran with it again. Good play by Bard. Bard with the puck spinning on Brober. There was two opportunities off draws where there were shots from the point. This whole shift starts again with a shot from the point, but edge room from Gabricov and Fox to give the Rangers a 3-1 lead. Now Broberg shoots. So Sturken looking for it. Puck in the corner. Rangers kill off the double miner. Here’s Bayer with a shot. Missed the net. Snider sends it up the boards and out. Shen pulls it back. Comes out of the zone and that will do it. A collective sigh of relief by the Rangers and their fans. They had a 3-1 lead and a kill off a 4-minute power play. Late goal by Shen.
