Latest Texans News: Joe Mixon DENIES He Won’t Return + Chiefs Sign Dameon Pierce & AFC Playoff Race

Welcome into Texans today everybody. I’m your host Jeremy Chugs and coming up on today’s program, why Joe Mixon probably won’t play even though he is refuting all of the reports that he’s out for the remainder of the season. We’ll talk about that on today’s program. Also, some horrible news for Texans fans. If uh you saw this in the past 24 hours as a Texans fan, you probably were like, “Damn, I’ll talk I’ll tell you what that is in just a moment.” And at the end of today’s show, can the Texans still win the AFC South? I gave you my rooting guide for week 12. And I told you depending on what happens in that Chiefs Colts game depends on my faith in the Texans coming back and making it not one, not two, but three AFC South titles in a row. We’ll look at that at the end of today’s program. But it is Colts week. Go down, spam those H’s. If you’re ready to beat the Colts, make sure you’re subscribed cuz we’re going live this weekend and we will be getting loud in the chat. So, if you’re ready to beat the Indianapolis Colts this week, hey, it’s rivalry week. We’re trying to take down Indie. We are trying to get one step closer to possibly winning that AFC South title. And if you’re ready for that, make sure to hit that subscribe button. Spam those H’s down below because week 13 at Lucas Oil Stadium this Sunday, one o’clock Eastern. I’ll be live here on the channel 30 minutes before kickoff. You won’t want to miss a single second of action because depending on how this game goes, we could see a replay, a little deja vu from CJ Stra’s rookie year. Remember, they didn’t start off to a hot start. Came on at the end of the year. And by the end of the season, the Texans were playing the Colts in week 18 for the AFC South title. We all know how how that ended. The Texans ended up winning the division. Who did the Texans play the last week of this year? None other but the Indianapolis Colts. We’ll talk about that at the end of today’s program a little bit more. But first, our main story on today’s show. Will Joe Mixon return? Recently, he rebuffed reports from Ian Rapaort and others that he’ll be out for the rest of the season. Ian said, “I’ve heard from multiple sources that Texans running backs Joe Mixon will not play for the remainder of the 2025 season.” Not so fast, sweetheart, because right from the man himself, Joe Mixon came out and said, “That is a bunch of BS.” This is exactly what he quote tweeted that Ian Rapaort tweet with. Now, I get everyone’s looking for Splash News and Clickbait, but I’m just curious, Ian, how do you know more about me than me? And then he tagged his agent Peter J. Schaefer, “Get your mans, bro.” Obviously, Peter Schaefer, Ian Rap Report, probably have a good rapport with each other. And prime time, Mr. Joe Mixon himself said, “Uh, yeah, agent, I need you to deal with this because this is a bunch of BS.” Now, I want to know from you at home. We talked about it a little bit. Where do you see Joe Mixon and his odds to potentially play for the rest of this season? Scale it 1 to 10. One, you don’t think he’s going to play at all? He’s done for the year. 100. We will definitely see Joe Mixon back at the end of this year. Let me know down in the comments section. If you get hit with the YouTube ad break, all good. Scroll on down and give me your answer. Now, I’m gonna go very low. I’m going to say about 20% at this point. I’ve said multiple times on the program before, I don’t think Joe Mixon will be able to return until at least late December. I I said that for me, you know, from all the reports that I’ve heard kind of piecing together everything that I’ve heard around Joe Mixon and his injuries, that was the early return, the earliest return date that I thought he’d be able to play was late December. Now, the problem is why Mixon probably won’t play, even though he’ll he might be healthy. He might be ready to go in December, and he might be on the table for the Texans to bring back, but next year is the final year of his deal, the final year of his contract. And Mixon turns 30 this off seasonason, that magic number for running backs. I think it’s uh, you know, it’s really funny. We view running backs in their 20s much differently than running backs once they hit that age of 30. And the Texans this offseason can save more than $8 million by either cutting or trading Joe Mixon. And obviously the Texans have a two back system that they’ve been working throughout the entire season so far. Woody Mars and Nick Chub have been decent together, right? 115 carries, 422 yards, 17 receptions, 185 yards um through the air, and then four total touchdowns for Woody Marks. Nick Chub, you know, somewhat similar stats on that other side. 105 carries, 435 yards, 12 receptions for 58 yards, and two total touchdowns for Nick Chub. So, I don’t think Mixon will return this season, but depending on how the Texans next couple weeks go, hey, if they are in line to win the division, possibly get a home game and, you know, make a run, I think the likelihood of Joe Mixon returning goes up drastically if they win their next two games. That’s just me, though. We’ll have to see what ends up happening, whether or not we hear more from Joe Mixon. Now, coming up, some news that might upset you if you’re a Texans fan because there was a guy who uh the Texans recently released and probably the one team that we all didn’t want to sign him, ended up signing him. If you didn’t know, or if you haven’t heard that story yet, I’ll tell you what it is here in just a moment. It’s good to be right now. One of the big kind of storylines before this Texans, you know, week 12 game up against the Bills was right before they went ahead and released Damen Pierce. We were all like, “Oh, you know, it’s pro probably made sense. You know, he hasn’t been himself since his rookie season. Really wasn’t being used at all this year.” You see, 10 carries, 26 yards, that’s 2.6 yards per carry. But the one team that you didn’t want to sign him went ahead and did it. The Kansas City Chiefs. And uh I’ll just say this as a Texans fan and y a lot of y’all feel that same sentiment. A little bit of you died inside when you saw the Kansas City Chiefs signing Damen Pierce because we all know if there’s one place where Damen Pierce will probably go and thrive and you know I do wish the best for Damen Pierce. He was nothing but good with this Texans organization. Um, but man, I re it’s going to kill me inside if he goes to Kansas City and turns it on because there is still an opportunity for him to turn his career around a little bit with the Chiefs. I mean, look at his rookie season stats from 2022. 13 games played, 939 yards, seven carries of 20 plus yards, four touchdowns on 220 carries. And these are some of the running backs that the Chiefs have had over the past, you know, couple years. Samaji perind, Carson Steel, La Michael Per. I mean the these guys, Damen Pierce is better than all of them. So if he’s able to go in there and give a spark to Kansas City, you know, help with that Patrick Mahomes offense where they spread everybody out and then they just hand it off to Damen Pierce, I could see a world where Damen Pierce really turns it on and, you know, last couple weeks of the season during the playoffs, he gets a decent workload. And uh you know, as of right now, I I will note he was signed to the practice squad. So, no no guarantee that Damen Pierce even sees the field for the Kansas City Chiefs this season. But a small part of me feels like in two weeks when the Texans play the Chiefs, we will see Damen Pierce on the sidelines for Kansas City. Ju I just have a feeling, right? It’s just like you you kind of know how things work out. Some of these things in sports and just in life, it’s kind of like poetic, right? Hey, at the at the end of the day, I could definitely see a situation where Damen Pierce comes to the game up against the Houston Texans and a little bit of a revenge game for DP. Like I said, I’m wishing him the best, unless he’s playing the Houston Texans, in which case I I I hope he plays horrible. Um DP, I I wish you the best in your future endeavors, just not against the Houston Texans. Now, last up, let’s talk about playoffs. Playoffs. Playoffs. Yeah, we’re gonna talk about the playoffs because this is where the AFC stands after week 12. The Patriots time is a flat circle, right? You know, the the Patriots end up being at the very top of the AFC playoff picture once again as Patriots fans. They they had a horrible what was that three or four years that they had to endure. I mean, I feel so bad for them. Uh Broncos fans, they’re, you know, hoping to get that number one seed. They’re in at number two. Then the Colts at the third seed, leaders of the AFC South. And the Ravens, yes, the Ravens that you trounced earlier on in the season, they have made a comeback all the way back to be the leaders in the AFC North. And then the wild card, it’s the Chargers, Jags, and Bills one game ahead of you. And the Texans, like I said, they have all the opportunity in the world to make the playoffs either as a wild card or be that AFC South Division champ. The Texans next five weeks, it all starts here. Week 13 up against Indie. This is where you start. If you want any chance to win the division, you’ve got to win week 13. You can still make the playoffs if you lose up against the Colts in week 13. It’s definitely going to be a lot harder, be a lot easier if you just won all your games. But this is this is one right here. They win week 13, the division. It is squarely on the table and it’s in your hands, Houston Texans, because these are the next five weeks. You notice week 17, there’s one more week past this. Week 18, you play the Indianapolis Colts once again. So, if you can sweep that season series up against Indianapolis, you are in a fantastic spot. Obviously, like I said, you play the Chiefs here in week 14. It’s where I expect Damen Pierce to make his debut for Kansas City. Then you play the Cardinals, the Raiders, the Chargers. Um, this team, man, they are going to give me a heart attack every single week. But God, I love them so much. I I I want to see this team get into the playoffs. I want to see them get into the dance. And, you know, there’s only been one team since the year 2000. Only one team to make the playoffs after starting 0 and3. Who is it? Let me think. Oh yeah, it was the Houston Texans back in 2018. The only team since the year 2000 to make the playoffs after starting 0 and3. Why not do it again? Why not do it again with this Texans squad this year? And hell, why not even try to win the division while you’re at it? That’s all I have for you on today’s show, folks. If you want to hit me up on Twitter, you can do so, Jeremy Chugs. 1. As I said before, I am glad living in Vegas and being a hard core Texans fan that I found this channel; thx Jeremy. ❤❤
As far as Mixon, the whole thing has been a mystery and there’s more to his story.
He’s collecting a cool 4 Million sitting at home. I say that The Texans will cut him in 2026 and save 8 1/2 million that could be used elsewhere like the O-line or a solid running back. Let’s face it Chubbs is not a premier running back. I think that Woody Marks has great potential.
That’s my take on this whole weird situation with Mixon def. not buying his story.
    Goooooo Texansssss!❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

  2. Would be PERFECT if he came back.. vs the colts. I can only wish, our season would of been way better if he hadn’t got
Injured im also worried he won’t be the same, very much like Chubb. Our run game hasn’t gotten any better. I just wish they it would turn around. Biggest game is vs the colts because if we go 2-0 vs the colts we can win the division.

  3. Well we're going to have to play Indianapolis like we did Buffalo we can't play good one week and be lousy the next and that's been our f**** problem the whole entire year you know it I know it everybody knows it if you're going to make a run you need to be consistent every week

  4. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

  5. Mixon’s gotta stop blowing smoke up everyone’s a** he ain’t playing this year, let’s go MILLS MAFIA!!! Everyone that’s left the Texans and gone to KC has just decided to play like a star after going there it’s BS it also BS that we always have to travel to KC
