> Captain Roman Josi noted that O’Reilly did have an all-timer of a season in 2018-19, when he won the Conn Smythe in the St. Louis Blues’ miraculous Stanley Cup championship run, as well as his first and only Selke Trophy as the league’s best defensive forward.
>”The next morning I was like, ‘Hey, I looked at you all your years in the NHL. Definitely have way more years than just one year.’ But that’s Factor, right?” said Josi, citing O’Reilly’s nickname. “He’s such a team-first guy. I see him every day how he works on his game — first guy on the ice, last guy off. He had some amazing years here, so he was definitely too hard on himself.”
If they “turn things around” enough to draft 10+ instead of top 5 (really top 3) I really might have to give up my fandom I’m so serious 😵💫
What they’ve always needed is literally falling into their laps. They’d better accept it
No!

If by turn around they mean pick top 3 I’m all in
No. Let’s at least get a pick out of it.
The next 7-8 games? ROFL!
We have a -29 goal dif after 1/4 of the year being complete. Ending an 82 game season with a -29 would be horrible, but we have managed to do it in 1/4 of the season. We are on pace for a -100 goal dif.
We are not just bad. We are historically bad. I am not anti-Trotz. But if he is unwilling to see this, then perhaps he does not possess the competence we need at GM. I don’t think he is that stupid. I think he just knows that he has backed himself into a corner, and until players want to waive their NMCs, he just has to wait and see.
At this point, at least he is acknowledging that the team isn’t playing well. Brunette clearly is incapable of developing young players, and that is what this team needs right now. I am not saying that he is a bad coach. But he is not what this team needs right now. There are coaches you win a cup with, and there are coaches you build with. Brunette is a good coach, but he is neither of these types. We forget that he won a president’s trophy with Florida, right before losing in the first round that year.
Trotz keeps being asked about his feelings on Brunette because EVERYONE who is not Barry Trotz sees that something needs to change, and because of all the NMCs Trotz handed out, we cannot move anyone.
Haslem is going to have to decide for Trotz.
i don’t think it’s completely out of the question for them to do so, but they’re going to have to find a new tactic instead of continuing one that hasn’t been working for them. if it’s unsuccessful for part of the game, they need a different one. i also think we need better coaching and am hoping we get rid of annunen because he’s useless

UM NO
The Blues did it when they won it all. No reason we can’t either.

…I don’t know, can water be dry?
lol no
We are headed right in the direction of contention for McKenna, please do not turn it around
Unfortunately the writing is in the wall. They better start planning for a rebuild. Too bad, because I like Trotz and Brunette. They gambled on the wrong mix of players. Some teams are desperate for goaltending, even someone who’s struggling like Saros — I’d move him as soon as possible to the Oilers or a club like that.
Is this a serious question?
Was this article written last year because the answer is still NO.
