Packers’ best defensive plays vs. Vikings | Week 12

JEFFERSON . SECOND AND 10. HE IS SENT BACK, THE 47.
THE ROOKIE FROM GEORGIA, WITH McDUFFIE.
LOSES SEVEN, TIME-OUT AT 23 SECONDS.
>> Greg: RUNNING, IN THE BLITZ, INITIALLY, BIG BODIES
BEARING DOWN. EARLY, WHEN HE FIRST STARTED,
EARLY IN HIS CAREER THIS YEAR, JEFFERSON . SECOND AND 10. HE IS SENT BACK, THE 47.
THE ROOKIE FROM GEORGIA, WITH AND KEVIN O’CONNELL SAYS IT, IN
PRACTICE, HE HAS MADE A LOT OF THROWS IN THAT EXACT AREA.
WE WANT TO SEE IT CARRYOVER. WE HAVE SEEN SOME GLIMPSES OF
IT IN THE FIRST HALF. >> Joe: HE HAS THE INTENTION,
AND PARSONS HAD OTHER PLANS. NINE SACKS THIS YEAR FOR
PARSONS. TO COME OUT, THE HAND BECOMES
THE LEAD BLOCKER TO JONES, THEY ARE NOT EXPECTING THIS BALL TO
BE HELD THIS LONG, OVERSTEPS MICAH PARSONS.
THINKING IT IS A QUICK PASSING IT HAS BEEN SHIFTED REALLY ON
THE FOURTH DOWN, THAT PUNT SITUATION THAT GAVE GREEN BAY
A FREE TOUCHDOWN. >> Joe: PARSONS IS COMING, HE
HAS HIS SECOND IN THIS THIRD QUARTER.
>> Greg: THIS GUY GETS DOUBLE TEAMED MORE THAN ANYBODY AND
STILL GETS TO THE QUARTERBACK STILL GETS TO THE QUARTERBACK
MORE THAN ANYBODY. THIS IS A COMBINATION OF JUST
PUT PRESSURE, INSIDE, THIS TIME, HE RUNS IT ALONG THE
OUTSIDE. JACKSON, THIS WAS DESIGNED
RIGHT NOW, THE BALL COMES OUT >> Joe: THEY LINED THEM UP AT
LINEBACKER HERE, HE JUST BARRELS HIS WAY IN.
AND DEVONTE WYATT HAS A ZACH — SACK IN THE ZONE.
A DISASTER OF A DRIVE FOR THE TODAY!
>> Greg: HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE KELLY ? BACK FROM INJURY,
EXCITED TO PLAY, BUT WATCHED WHAT MICAH PARSONS DOES.
HE JUST BLOWS UP THE ENTIRE PARSONS, GETTING A RUNNING START
. AND ABLE TO GET THERE, RASHAN GARY.
NOW, McCARTHY. SECOND OF THE GAME, DEVONTE
WYATT. HE HAS DOUBLED HIS SEASON TOTAL
. >> Greg: THE PASS RUSH NOW JUST
NEEDS TO ATTACK. THESE HEAVY-PASS SITUATIONS,
MOVING PARSONS ALONG JUST CAUSES SUCH CHAOS AT THE FRONT.
GARY SLIGHTLY MISSES. AND HE GETS TO KEEP CLEANING UP
THE PRESSURE FOR THE REST OF THE GREEN BAY FRONT.
NOWHERE FOR McCARTHY TO GO. CONVERSATION, TRULY ONE OF THE
ELITE PLAYERS IN ALL OF FOOTBALL, REGARDLESS OF WHICH
SIDE OF THE BALL HE PLAYS. >> Joe: FIVE STRAIGHT SEASONS,
DOUBLE-DIGIT SACKS. AND GARY GETS THERE, THIS TIME
FORCING AN INTERSECTION. GARY GOT HIS HAND ON IT, AND
ISAIAH RODGERS PICKED IT OFF. McCARTHY.
GARY BENEFITED AS MUCH AS ANYBODY FROM THE INJECTION OF
PARSONS. >> Greg: THE STARTING LEFT
TACKLE IS OUT OF THE GAME. THEY GO TO HIS BACK UP, JUSTIN
SKULE, EVERYTHING THAT COULD COMPLETELY GO WRONG FOR THE
VIKINGS’ OFFENSE TODAY HAS NOW McCARTHY, PICKED OFF.
SECOND INTERCEPTION FOR THE PACKERS THE LAST TWO DRIVES.
WILLIAMS, SECOND WEEK IN A ROW INTERCEPTION.
>> Greg: THAT IS THE CLEAR ROUTE, JALEN NAILOR.
AND YOU WILL SEE JUSTIN JEFFERSON ON THE OUTSIDE, HE IS
RUNNING THE DAGGER ROUTE, UNLESS THAT VERTICAL ROUTE
POPS, UNCOVERED, NOT REALLY WHERE THE BALL IS DESIGNED TO
GO.

  1. If your DE draws two to three o-lineman every play everybody on that D-line starts looking like a generational talent. That's why you pay him

  2. Willams had more receiving yards from the Minnesota QB than ADAMS in the second half. What a statement game from this youngest team in the NFL. Hope and pray the gamblers do not ruin the sport.

  3. i love Micah so so much, that 2nd play shown here where he's being double teamed and stopped in his tracks by 2 giant buffalos, which weakened their line, it's the little things one should notice during the games, his impact on that O-Line, plus im sure his presence is very intimidating when he's linger around behind QBs.

  4. This is the kind of defense we need against Detroit on Thursday, and really, for the rest of the season. Our offense still needs some work (despite injuries), but if we can get that going as well, we have the potential to finish strong. It certainly won’t be easy, but as fans, we can hope for nothing less than a serious push to dominate the remainder of the season.

  5. Now imagine if Packers can find another DE who can keep up with Parson. Long time MU fan and love Gary but he needs to beat this battle of consistency, because it wouldn't surprise me that he vanishes the next 3 weeks. Hope he proves me wrong against the Lions
