Game-Changing Plays in a Week 12 Win | Jacksonville Jaguars

[Music] Welcome into the film room powered by Microsoft Co-Pilot Plus PC. The Jaguars talked a lot during the week leading up to the game in Arizona about having set a standard the week before against the Chargers. Well, I believe there was something that was established before that and it was a level of mental toughness or you might use the word resilience. And down the stretch to get that victory, there had to be and was multiple resilient moments. Let’s jump into the film. Late in the ball game, the Jaguars had already committed four giveaways, and Trevor Lawrence was at the heart of those, but he fought back and showed a resilient play here to Parker Washington. I want you to see this from the end zone because, as you can see, Parker Washington looks like he is completely covered. And I’m going to put this in slow motion because tell me when you think that window is open. And it’s not open there. But look, the ball is already on its way. And look at the placement of the ball. I mean, holy cow. Parker Washington separates at the last second. This is a big time throw at a critical moment. And it shows resiliency by the quarterback. And now we’re in overtime. And Trevor Lawrence makes another big-time throw in this ball game. And he’s got what is one-on-one coverage. And first of all, you’ve got to recognize that Trevor does and he commits to it. Watch this throw. The defensive back has his back turned. This ball is placed to the outside. There’s only one guy that can make this catch and that’s Parker Washington. This is a 25 yd catch that sets up the overtime field goal by Cam Little. A big time throw at a critical moment. And earlier in the ball game, you saw an instance to where Jarian Jones got beat for a touchdown by the wide receiver Dorch. Well, here’s an opportunity to be resilient again against Dorch. Look at the pass break up by Jarian Jones at a critical moment. Big time play. And the last play of the ball game. The Jaguars have had multiple injuries at the cornerback position. And Christian Brazwell is in the lineup with an opportunity to show resiliency as a team. Look at the coverage that he has on the wide receiver. He is literally in the hip pocket step for step. And then also on this last play, got to give a little credit to Andrew Winger coming across the field, closing the gap, getting involved in this pass breakup. Two guys making an outstanding play at a critical moment. And this football team just continues to show a level of mental toughness and resiliency that I absolutely love.

Jeff Lageman rolls the tape on the Jaguars Week 12 game vs. the Arizona Cardinals. He takes a look at a few key plays that led to an eventual overtime victory, including impressive throws by QB Trevor Lawrence and multiple important stops by the secondary.
