No. We won’t.
No? He was on an expiring contract and half a sack away from getting us a 4th Rd pick
What possible regret could we have trading a guy who would leave for nothing in half a season?
He probably wasn’t coming back anyway, and with how well the last 4th round rookies turned out, I’d rather have the pick.
Why would we regret getting significant draft capital for a guy we signed to a 1 year deal in a lost season anyways
The cherry on top would be signing him to another 1 year deal next year after renting him to the Ravens and stealing a 4th from them
If he wasn’t going to be on the roster next season, there is no loss and no regret. Production this season means very little for the Titans outside of young players getting their footing in the league.
The hopes for this season are young talent showing out and a high draft pick.
People on expiring contracts who won’t be back are of very little value in a completely lost season.
If he really wants to be a Titan next year.. the chances of him signing here aren’t much different than they were before the trade. He’s free to go wherever he wants and wherever wants him.
I’m really surprised we don’t see more “1 year rental” trades in contract years. It’s very common in hockey when the team trading away is subpar and the other team needs a piece for a run.
Everyone wins. Player gets a chance to play meaningful ball with more attention to get a big next contract, team gets a pick, and if they really wanted to, they could come back in a few months.
Titans are in a position where they’re pretty sure no FA with other options is going to sign here. So it’s smart by any metric.
No
Do you regret trading a pending free agent who was going to leave? My god this fanbase
God just get me past the “pouty ass fanbase” stage
Why always the Ravens?
We can resign him again in the offseason if we Really want him back. So no regrets
Lots of solid contributors for very cheap can be found in the fourth round. I’m pretty hyped it’s looking like we’ll get a an extra fourth again.
No.
Just rename them the Tennessee Browns already that’s what the owner wants to be apparently. Waste cam ward into the ground get #1 pick in 2 years draft new qb rinse and repeat
Why would we regret trading a rental player when we’re 1-10? Only thing I care about is now is Wards development and the 1st overall pick.
