Rebuilding the Charlotte Hornets Part 1
I have decided to rebuild the Charlotte Hornets around LaMelo Ball, Conanipple, and Brandon Miller. Everybody else is disposable. Now, I really want to move Miles Bridges because I think we could get a decent power forward for him, which this team desperately needs a good power forward. So, we went to the Tradefinder and see what we could get for Miles Bridges. We actually got some decent offers for him, but the one that intrigued me the most was Miles Bridges and Mason Plumbley for Josh Hart and Mitchell Robinson. Now, Josh Hart is a good power for that we could use. He’s about 30 years old, but he gives a little bit of experience to this team. And then Mitchell Robinson could be a great, he’s a 27year-old center to give a little bit of experience to the rest of these young guys in the starting lineup. It would be great. So, we went ahead and accepted the trade. I tried to see what we could get for Trey Man, what we could get for Musa Diabate. Nothing really clicked, so I decided to stick with him. Now, the start of the season went really great. We won our first two games. LaMelo has been absolutely electric, scoring 30 plus both of these games. So, I decided to sim all the way through the rest of November. We ended up at the end of November going 11 and nine which for the Charlotte Hornets is pretty damn good. Now the trio of Conanipple, Brandon Miller, and LaMelo. It’s been better than I expected. I definitely didn’t expect in the first year of this rebuild for them to be plus 500. So we decided to keep Sim in this season and see where it would lead us. The Hornets throughout this first half of the season have actually been pretty great. There was even one game where the Charlotte Hornets scored 169 points against the Golden State Warriors and LaMelo dropped a 50piece. all the way up to about February 19th. This team had 33 wins. Unfortunately, that’s when Josh Hart went down. He was out for 8 to 10 weeks with a leg injury. The starting lineup has been LaMelo, Brandon Miller, Conanipple, Mitchell Robinson, and Josh Hart. They’ve been better than my expectations. Now, as I expected, the rest of the season without Josh Hart didn’t really go the best way it could. We ended up this season 42 and 40, which is still plus 500. And we got the seven seed, and we are in the playin. Now clap it up for Colin Ston for winning six man of the year, averaging 19 points off the bench. I mean this dude has been a crucial part of this team all year. At one point he was averaging like 20 points a game. Shout out LaMelo Ball allNBA first team. Conanipple all rookie first team. LaMelo Ball averaged 334 and seven. Brandon Miller 21 and4. Colin Ston coming off the bench averaging 19. I think this team can make a playoff run. We just have to get past the play in which this Shaw the Hornets team hasn’t been able to do since 2016. All we need is one win against the Atlanta Hawks and we can move on to the next round. Like for part two.
