[Anderson] There is a longtime NFL head coach out there who is considering wanting a change of scenery & has told others of these thoughts. If he acts on those lingering feelings, his departure would clearly add to the list of vacancies.

  1. Tomlin to Giants? Only one that makes the most sense. Has to be a HC without a clear QB1. Tomlin also seems like the coach that Josina Anderson would have close ties with.

  2. Tomlin?

It’s definitely not Harbaugh, Reid, McDermott or Mcvay, and I highly doubt it’s Shanahan….

  3. No way it’s Tomlin. Rooneys won’t self deal like that.

BTW Giants would need to give up draft picks if the HC breaks his contract

  4. It’s Tomlin, even if it’s not Tomlin, it’s Tomlin. It’s not Harbaugh. It’s not Andy Reid.

  5. Oh good. So now we’re doing clickbait titles *without* the article that actually gives you the answer.

  6. Harbaugh or Tomlin, I would assume. Then again, Josina Anderson reporting this makes it incredibly unlikely.

  7. I don’t like the idea of sending a 1st round pick anywhere for a coach. Maybe a 2027 because we would hopefully pick in the bottom half.

  8. Mara’s fired McVays grandfather. He still holds the grudge and loves nuking us when we play LAR

  9. Long term coach might be Tomlin or Harbaugh or even Lefluer

5 vacancies might be Atlanta , Arizona , Raiders , Titans and bengals

  10. Everyone is speculating *who* and not *why*. Whoever this mystery coach is, they want more control or more $$ with their current team. This is how they get it. It doesn’t benefit them to say anything now if they genuinely want out.

This is how negotiations are done, through the media. Please stop falling for it. Just like how many posts there are this year about paying Robinson. IDC and neither should you. It ain’t my money, pay him if you want him. His agent is the one putting this stuff out there now because Robinson probably wants to stay in NY and he definitely wants more money.

  11. 2 things come to mind. There has never been a head coach we won a superbowl with multiple franchises. People like Tomlin or Harbaugh kinda fit the narrative of the tweet but I’d be hesitant about trading for guys under contract.

I think a dark horse candidate would be Shanahan. He’s got an older roster with a bunch of contracts and would probably do well with a change of scenery. I see him very much in the mold of Andy Reid in Phili. He’s kinda worn out his welcome there.

  12. My bet would be Tomlin. There’s been some rumors that Art Rooney Jr’s patience might run out sooner, rather than later. (Tomlin’s been there for 18 years, and Pittsburgh hasn’t won a playoff game in almost a decade) I wouldn’t be shocked if it turns into an Andy Reid/Philly situation if the Steelers come up short again.

  13. The three longest-tenured coaches this year are.

    Tomlin.

    Reed.

    Harbaugh

There’s also a none zero chance this is just Josina being an agent mouth piece as usual and this is a positional move by Tomlin through the media for his contract negotiations.
