[MLBTradeRumors] “The trade market (for catchers) doesn’t offer many clearly available alternatives. If the Twins continue their teardown, then Ryan Jeffers would surely be available ahead of his final season of club control.”

  1. The issue is we don’t have a reliable Catcher to fill his position. I see the odds of Jeffers getting trading before the season at near 0%.

  2. >If the Twins continue their teardown

I would really love to own a baseball team.

    It would be so cool.

And then I would do everything I could shit on the fans and trash the organization!

  3. I don’t get why they wouldn’t trade him at this point.

Ideally we wouldn’t be a cheap franchise and just re-sign him but I think we all know that the Twins aren’t going to extend him. He’s going to want at least 10MM AAV on a multi year deal.

If he’s a one year rental this year on a bad team it doesn’t make much sense to hold him and let him walk for nothing.

  4. Dogshit org is dogshit, news at 11.

Buxton also wants out if every single player is sold off, too. Why not? If you’re going to deal your pitching, it should just go to everything.

    Such a horrible ownership group.

  5. Teardown or not – the goal should be to develop their returns of Abel, Bradley, etc. for their next wave of controllable pitching. Jeffers helps with that.
