And today, we’re going to be diving into the prospect reef to look at six of these Sharks prospects. Uh we got two goalies, two defenseman, and two forwards. Uh we’re going to be kind of checking in on how their games have been going, how they’ve been developing, and what I have seen as I’ve been uh keeping an eye on them. So, before we get uh going with those, do want to let you guys know that today’s episode is brought to you by FanDuel. download the FanDuel app by visiting FanDuel.com and win $300 in bonus bets if your first $5 bet wins. So, um even though these Sharks are off to a much better start this season, right? And uh I know you know still keep an eye on the on the 2026 draft and uh but you know we do want to check in every once in a while on how the prospects are doing and how these guys are going to continue to filter in and and be hopefully big parts of the San Jose Sharks future. Um how they’re doing at their perspective uh you know junior or college level uh teams right now. So, we’re going to be looking at uh like I said, we’re six players, two uh goalies, uh one Joshua Ravensburg and Christian Kersh, be looking at Paul Camp and uh Howi Wong. Uh and then we’re going to be looking at uh Cole McKini and Teddy Mutrin uh and see how just all these players are kind of coming along and uh you know what we think of them so far this season. So, let’s start with the first round pick. The other first round pick from this draft, uh Joshua Ravensburgen, playing of course with Prince George. So, uh so far this season, Ravensburgen has played 18 games, 269 goals against Savage with a 916 save percentage. He has 12 wins on the season and one shutout. Um Ravensburgen has been dialed in uh to say the least for the Prince George Cougars. Um he looks every bit the part of a potential like NHL goalie. Not only just potential NHL goalie like you can see a lot of a lot of the traits. Um he has had a a massive workload to start the season in the WHL. I think there’s like two goalies who have played more games slashminut than him uh to start the season. Uh he he’s like I said he’s played 18 games for Prince George. Uh I know they were they were dealing with a little bit an issue with uh one of their uh other goalies who had some uh if I recall he had some visa issues to allow him to play in in the United States. So I I like Ravensburg had to play like backto backs, multiple backtobacks in a row uh and just rack up games here and uh it does not matter for him. He has been so good to start this season. Um so yeah, like again he’s played 18 games. Um Prince George has played 23 so far. like uh that that is a lot of that’s a massive workload. So for him and they’ve been a very good team a large part because of his play. Um his uh goals against average is uh ninth at 2.69 is ninth in the WHL. His save percentage is fifth among both these are among qualified uh goalies. So I think that’s 10 starts or above for the right now. um like the shots he has seen. He’s seen the fifth fourth most shots. Uh he is just he is looking extremely good uh for for Prince George. Um, you see like the highlight reel saves, but again, I think it’s you you’re seeing more and more of just kind of a a calm like right place, right time type of player with Joshua Ravensburg and who has the ability to make those highlight saves. And every time he goes out on the ice, you feel like you have a chance uh to win or at least Prince George does. And it’s clear right as they are second in the Western Conference right now uh as I’m recording this. like he’s been among one of the best goalies in the WHL and a large part of why Prince George is is continuing to do well and I it’s still going to be interesting to what the Sharks do with him next year uh since he does he is an older uh part of the 2025 class where he could be a potential Luca Canyone like player where he can go like if the Sharks wanted to he they could have him play uh turn professional and play in the AHL ECHL next year or they could send him back to the WHL or maybe suggest he goes to college for a season. So, we’ll see what what the Sharks want to do with Ravensburg, but um it has been an excellent start for him or excellent run of str of play. I know a little bit shaky to kind of start the season, but as of late, he has been absolutely dialed in and playing big- time minutes backtobacks. It does not matter. Joshua Ravensburgen has got your back. Um the other big goalie of note, the 2024 uh pick that the Sharks made uh and Christian Kersh who was a fourth round pick as a reminder right he spent last year it was you know it was uh in the U USHL and like he was playing in the division below that. Um then this year as part of the new rules he went over to the OHL to play with the Kitchener Rangers before he goes to play in college next year. I believe it’s UMass if I if I recall correctly. Um so far it’s been a great start for him with Kitner. Uh 15 games. Uh he has a 2.28 goals against average save percentage at 910 with 10 wins and one shutout uh for Christian Kersh. Um and just to kind of where those rankings are for among the OHL. Uh so save percentage, uh Christian Kersh is like ninth right now in save percentage in in the OHL and it’s pretty bunched up. Like there’s a couple guys who are like a couple spots in front of him. Like if he has a big game, like he could easily jump up a couple spots here. But he’s got uh two the 2.28 28 goals against average. Uh is good for fourth in the OHL again among qualified uh starts. Not as much of the, you know, like he’s not eating as many minutes as some of the other goalies. I think it’s because they have a uh they have two goalies that they really like um at Kitner. Um but when it comes to shot scene, like he’s still like he’s kind of facing a fair amount of shots as well. and you know with it like the saves he’s still like also facing a fair amount of saves as well. So um Kersh like the Rangers team has been off to a pretty solid start. It’s been a little bit kind of up and down with them, you know, but they’ve they’ve played one six out of their last 10 games here. Um and they kind of sit sec of the Western Conference here and you know really kind of a packed Western Conference in the OL. But um Kersh kind of end of the month, beginning of November was on a real hot streak where he was just like lights out. Been a little leakier as of late, but still like I mean, you know, goalies are going to have uh they’re going to have their kind of ups and downs and stuff, but he just looks like his confidence is renewed. He looks just like a much better uh goalender than you know what I saw from him last year. And you know, like still it’s like let him go to college. I still think Kersh is is is, you know, I don’t think like he’s going to be jumping Ravensburg or anything like that, but I still think Kersh has a good chance to make an impact for the Sharks organization. Um, you know, is maybe that potential like third goalie, you know, a really high-end AHL guy and if you need him some spot starts in the NHL, I think that’s kind of probably where he ends up. But, uh, he’s he’s looking just much better this year. And uh I think it goes as we when we talked to him earlier this year, just kind of going back to that confidence thing with him of just feeling like you belong and you feel like the coaching staff has your back and you can tell with his play that he is he’s definitely feeling it and uh he’s he’s been having a a big time year and I you know expect him to be in uh playing in the World Juniors as well. So uh it’s going to be fun to really excited for him in World Juniors to see kind of uh what he can do there. So, um, we’re going to switch over to the blue line here. Uh, talk about PC camp and how she Wong, one guy who’s probably going to be making an impact in the NHL maybe as soon as April. And, uh, you know, we’ll talk about Hi Wong and how his development is going as well. Uh, so we’ll get to that here in just one second. All right, before we continue, uh we talk about Eric Pamp here. Uh do of course want to thank you for making Locked on Sharks your first listen. Uh if you haven’t yet, perfect time to subscribe as we are part of the number one sports podcast network here at the Locked On Network. Uh we just had Quinton Musty on yesterday. Uh, I think you guys really like that interview from, uh, the feedback that I got. Uh, we’re sticking with the prospects today. Of course, we’ll have reactions to every Sharks game. Uh, we’ll have a bit more Barracuda coverage. Next week, we’ll probably do some stock up, stock down, uh, as we’re kind of, you know, to end the month there. So, uh, make sure you guys are following along wherever you get podcasts. And of course, you can watch on YouTube as well. So, uh, let’s talk about one. Eric PCamp, who of course was part of the 2023 draft with Quinton Musty, was an overager that year, uh, is at University of Denver. And we knew uh, this year at Denver, right, uh, Zebuliam now in Minnesota, this Denver team, right? They’re they’re trying to get one another national championship. And as long as David Carl’s there, feels like they’re going to be in contention for a national championship every year. Uh and Eric PCamp has been given the keys to the car uh along the blue line at uh University of Denver. And so far uh ridiculous. Um 14 games this year. Noted defenseman Eric PCamp has 10 goals six with 66 shots on goal. Uh he finished last year with 11 goals. He is at 10 this year including uh a hat-tick I if I recall it was like the 12th hatt-trick uh at University of Denver’s defense uh University of Denver very storied program uh among defenseman so I think the 12th hat-tick among defenseman at University of Denver is what I’m trying to say but uh Paul Camp has been given the keys to the car and he is making the most of his opportunity uh when it comes to creating offense again 10 goals is absolutely absolutely ridiculous uh for a bluel liner. Um he has given a lot you know uh power play one like he’s given all the opportunities to help this Denver team uh score and and he has been doing a lot with that and uh like don’t like like Paul Camp is a a a two-way defender like he is a true two-way defender who can drive offense um but also defend right this isn’t like a you know like uh an offensive like John Clingberg right where he’s going to you know hopefully help you score goals but the defense is a little sh a little suspect. PC Camp is a a good defender, especially when it comes to defense on the rush. Uh standing up at the blue line and shutting down opportunities there. And he will does not matter who you are. Uh not the biggest guy, but he plays way bigger than he is. Doesn’t matter who you are, he is going to uh clean up shop in front of the net. Um, I fully believe that as soon as Denver season is over, he will be a member of the San Jose Sharks organization and that’s a conversation for a different day of um the approach to take that if they should sign him to his ELC so he can play the Sharks but then potentially miss Barracuda like we saw with Cam Len last year or like conversation for a different day. But um I truly believe unless he unless they want to he wants to try to win a championship or something like that, I I think this is Paul Camp’s last year at the University of Denver. Um and I think he’s ready to make an impact in professional hockey uh really soon. And especially if uh you’re kind of just looking at the the Sharks depth chart blue linewise like if K if uh Luca Canon is is ready to kind of make that leap and be a full-time uh guy. Kim and and Matias Havlett I think will be kind of the next two guys who are going to be uh ready to kind of go there and if if he has to spend some time with the Barracuda next year which I can very much see as maybe they want to round out his game a little bit uh he won’t be down there for very long I I think especially with uh his work in college and stuff. So I think uh it’s it won’t be it won’t be long till he’s a full-time NHLer to be honest and especially as an overager. Um he is he’s been off to uh an excellent start this year and one of my favorite players to watch defensively. Just uh just an absolute wrecking ball out there. It’s great great to watch. If you ever get a chance to watch pole camp, take it. He is so much fun to watch. So um Hi Wong. So um it’s been a interesting year for him and the Ashwa general. So, um, like we we knew with Wong or that like he’s going to be a player who’s right is not going to fill up the stat sheet. Like he is going to be a defensive defenseman. Uh, that’s, you know, may chip in offensively here and there, but like we know that is going to be his role. Um, unfortunately for uh for for Wong and and the Oscar Generals, like this has been a horrible start to the season for them. Uh they are one of the worst teams in the OHL. Uh so far they have 14 points uh in 24 games. The only team that’s worse is Sudbury uh who just like Ashawa lost you know some bigname talent. Uh Sudbury lost some guy named uh Quinton Musty. You might have heard of him. Uh and Ashawa lost uh Beckett Senica who of course is is having a really great start uh with his career with the Anaheim Ducks. And um you know Ashawa they they lost eight in a row recently. They’ve gone like 28 and 0 in their last 10 games. Like this is a team that is struggling to score. Uh they are the worst team in the the OHL when it comes to goals for like the goals allowed. It like actually is not like super it’s it’s bad but not like the worst. It’s just this team has no offense to to speak of. They have to try to grind out all their wins at like two goals type of thing. But um so there’s not a lot of opportunity for Hi Wong to get on the score sheet because this team just struggles to score goals. So keep that in mind with him. But I think so far it’s actually been a surprising start offensively for him. So 17 games, one goal, eight assists, and with 41 shots on goal uh during that time. As a reminder, in you know, I think it was like 34 games last year uh he had two assists. So, you’re seeing much more offensive production for him. Um, and I kind of like we talked about with Christian Kersh, you’re seeing the confidence come through with his play. Like, he plays in all situations, right? He’s um their first line defender, like he’s their top defensive pairing and he’s playing on his off hand on the right side majority of the time. He’s playing on the power play, usually the second pairing. Uh, he’s playing top penalty kill minutes. Like, he is playing a lot of minutes for Ashawa. and you just see the confidence in his decision making increase and especially his puck handling. uh last year when he got, you know, like anytime he touched the puck, he was very hesitant and you’ve seen him just feel more and more confident and willing to like he’s still very much like a kind of up and up and off the glass type of defenseman, but you’re seeing him be more proactive with carrying the puck out and, you know, like trying to kind of push a little bit more offensively and jumping up um in in the offense more. And it’s it’s really good to see from him. Um, and I I want to see what happens next year when he’s at Boston, uh, which is going to be, you know, much better program than what he’s currently at right now. But, you know, he’s not going to be the main guy most likely there, but I want to see kind of what his role looks like at Boston. So, this is still like like don’t think this is a waste for him because he’s one of those guys who just needs he needs more reps and needs more touches and needs more opportunities. So, this isn’t like a Quint Musty where he’s, you know, clearly too good to be playing in this league or anything like that. Like, this is it’s kind of like a nice like low pressure like this team is bad. Uh, you’re going to get a bunch of minutes on a bad team. Um, where you can kind of work on some of, you know, the things that you need to work on when it comes to puck touches and, you know, positioning and just kind of being in the right place at the right time. and a lot of just the hockey IQ stuff that just comes from playing more and more. So, it’s kind of a nice like low stakes position for him. And then next year when he goes to Boston, you can really kind of see that ramp up here and maybe potentially see the offense ramp up a little bit more. But again, like uh Hashi Wong is not going to be like a a massive offensive contributor. He’s going to be a like six foot seven rangy shutdown defenseman uh who can cover three4s of the ice because he’s so big and he skates so well and you see that now uh with him with his abilities to just track and cover guys. It’s it’s pretty great to watch. So, uh we’re going to jump over to the forwards here uh in a second. We’re going to talk about two of the 2025 Fords. Uh so we’ll get to that in just one second. The NBA is back and there’s no better place to get in on the action than FanDuel, the official sports betting partner of the NBA. For your second listen, check out the allnew locked on NHL game night. Every game, every night until Stanley Cup champion is crowned. Great way to keep track of what’s going on outside of of San Jose, uh where you hear from, you know, every host and why their team won. Uh it’s just it’s really nice especially during those chaotic like you know 12 game nights just a nice way to go. So find game night on lockdown on YouTube wherever you listen to podcast. All right uh let’s start with with Teddy Mutrin who uh player played in the USL last year um and making a pit stop over in the queue before going to college. I love when players I like this path for a lot of players, right? Where um you’re getting a chance to play in the CHL, which you’re going to play with more pace, right? And you’re going to play just more games and like it’s a much different schedule and uh the style is a little bit more up and down. And then you go to college and you kind of get that finishing school of, okay, we’re going to play a little bit more structure, we’re going to play a little bit more heavy, we’re going to play, you know, uh older players. Like I just like this path for players. I think it’s a a great uh potential path for him. So uh Teddy Mutrin who’s playing uh with Monton over in the Q. So reminder my like with the Q is it’s very it’s very offensive oriented. So like players are going to put up more offensive numbers there. The defense is a little bit more wonky. The goalender is a little bit more wonky. Like it’s more of an offensive oriented league. So just right like keep that in mind with with with players from the queue. Uh remember like uh Jake Furlong put up like was almost like a point game play as a defenseman one year uh with with Halifax like you see how he’s doing now like he’s very much like a shut down defensive defenseman type of thing. So, um, but, uh, Teddy Monton though has had a really great start here. Or sorry, Teddy Mutin, sorry. Uh, Teddy Mutin playing with Monton. Uh, in 18 games, he’s got eight goals, 14 assists with 53 shots on goal. Uh, I watched one of his games the other day where he like was very much like he is a crash the net type of player, right? Uh, where that like he’s going to get goals the greasy way. um he’s gonna be obnoxious and like in a good way in front of the net where he’s going to make life hard. Um very like you saw some of the playmaking from him as well. Uh the team that the game that I watched I I think they was like like I’m not being like you know this isn’t hyperbole. Um it was 53 to 46 shots attempts in like a a 60-minute game. That’s what I’m talking about when it comes with uh with the offense. The the offensive numbers that they put up there uh definitely inflated because they just don’t really play defense or ever in the queue. I think the game was was eight to three or something like that like um but you can see the offensive skills from him and the style of play that he wants and again that what is Mike Greer looking for right those kind of hard-nosed get to the net score some of those greasy goals type of players. Uh, I think that is is what Mutrin is going to be in. I I fully expect when he gets to college, it’s not going to take him long to adapt to the college game uh here. So, like, you know, just just keep an eye on Mut. I I still think he’s probably like a third line, you know, energy type of guy uh who can kind of chip in here a little bit, but um you can definitely see his path and and where he’s kind of headed here. So, uh, another, you know, guy who’s very easy path for him to, uh, you know, play in the NHL here, uh, that would be Cole McKenna. So, uh, Cole’s, uh, second round pick, of course, he’s playing at the University of Michigan as a freshman. Uh, 16 games, he’s got four goals, 10 assists. So, almost a point per game player as a as a freshman, playing third line minutes uh, with 24 shots on goal. uh wrote about McKenna recently on the reef where just kind of watching one of his games and um kid I’ll continue to say like kid’s a bulldog uh you know exactly what you’re getting every time he steps out onto the ice uh is pro you know I think he’s going to be in the mix for the Sharks like third or fourth line center position uh where he can play tough defensively he’s been already given a lot of like big-time defensive assignments as a freshman uh he is playing like on the penalty kill. Um, and he’s still putting up really solid production here. Very much, you know, some games where like he’s not going to be one of those, you know, like two, three point nights type of guys. He’s going to be a kind of chip in one or two, you know, kind of like a point per night type of player. Uh, because he’s not getting the main opportunities, right? Especially at Michigan where they have some bigger names in front of him. So, like don’t be surprised this year if maybe the production’s down and then next year if you have some guys move on like he could be a guy who really see you see the production jump next year for him and then uh could be looking at signing his ELC after two seasons at Michigan just because I think he’s going to be so well-rounded uh and he’s so good like with what he kind of what he he knows exactly what he wants to do. uh he knows what his role is and he plays it to a tea. Uh he is a a like great uh kind of you know teammate, whatever you need him to do, I’m going to play whatever role. I just want to help the team win type of player. Um and like you can easily see him riding that and being a a professional player. I like I said I think it’s probably two years. I would if I had to kind of timeline it, I think it’s this year next year at Michigan. Uh he probably signs his ELC after that. Then he’s probably spends a season or so in the Barracuda. Uh then he’s probably like a full-time NHLer by then to be honest. So like you’re very easy path for him to to be uh be an impact player in with San Jose. And if he’s your third or fourth line center, like you’re going to feel really good about him in his role and taking on tough guys. And he’s already like very good in the face off. is already like kind of got the Thomas Bordau like I can take the draw from either hand type of thing as well. Uh you can tell he’s he’s very good at that and I don’t think it’ll be very long and even in the pro game for him to be an outstanding faceoff man as well. So um but yeah, that’s just a a check-in. You know, there’s plenty of more prospects. These are just guys who I’ve, you know, made it a point or have watched as of late. So, uh we’ll do another one of these check-ins here in a couple weeks. hopefully some uh other guys as well. Uh so make sure you guys are following along wherever you get uh podcast and of course you can watch uh on YouTube as well. Uh we’ll have a a nice early morning uh preview uh for that game. We’ll talk about the Conucks game. I think it’s the Can I’m pretty sure it’s the Conucks on Friday. Uh yeah, we got back toback this weekend. So Friday, Saturday. So plenty of stuff coming Friday and Saturday. Uh get you guys ready. So make sure you guys are following along wherever you get podcasts and of course you can watch on YouTube as well. Uh yeah, all that fun stuff. Uh until then, bye friends.

Sharks can go a long way, this year, this season. The future is so bright! Nothing but fun!
I had no idea about the visa problems with Prince George's other goalie. That makes so much sense for how brutal Ravensbergen's workload was to this point. Saw another player started one of the games of their back to back this last weekend and I was genuinely surprised.
Pohlkamp has to be a strong Hobey Baker candidate. 10 goals in 14 games is crazy as a d-man. That's a 30 goal pace in 42 games (not sure how many Denver has this season).
For comparison, Will Smith had 25 goals in 41 games at BC. Macklin 32 in 38 games for BU.
