And now, let’s get started. Anthony Davis to New York trade reports continue heating up. Every season, it’s someone I never see coming being linked to the Knicks. Last season, it was Kevin Durant. Now, this season, it’s Anthony Davis. AD is in all the trade reports involving the Knicks. But NBA insider with SNY, Ian Begley, recently provided an update on whether the Knicks will ultimately make this trade for Anthony Davis. Shout out to Knicks insider Ian Begley for giving us the following update from his latest episode of Ian Begley’s Mailbag. This update has to do with the Knicks and their trade plans. According to Begley, this is a win now season for the Knicks. My belief is that many people in the organization see this season without Tyrese Hallebertton and Jason Tatum as a fantastic opportunity to go ahead to the finals and go all the way. With that being said, I think every move on the table would have to be considered by New York. And here’s where we get to Anthony Davis. With regards to AD, here’s the update we have from Ian Begley regarding the Knicks and if they’ll make that trade for Davis. According to him, in terms of Anthony Davis, I don’t see it happening given the construction of the team. And I’m not sure even with the finances if the Knicks have what it takes to match salary there in terms of where they are in the apron situation. It’s interesting though because when Anthony Davis was with the Pelicans and they were figuring out their future, where they were going to go. Were they going to go to the Lakers? Were they going to go elsewhere? I was told that the Knicks were on Anthony Davis radar as a place he was interested in going. Thankfully, Anthony Davis in a Pelicans jersey is many, many, many years ago. Maybe at one point he wanted to join the Knicks, but maybe at this point in his career, he no longer wants to make that move. And honestly, this is amazing news for everyone involved, including the Knicks. It looks like they’ll just do their due diligence regarding Anthony Davis, but ultimately they will not actually make the trade for AD. And that right there is the right move to make if you’re Leon Rose. if an allstar or superstar player becomes available, maybe you’re not trying to trade for that player, but maybe if you do your due diligence and you understand, well, Anthony Davis, he’s going for three picks and two young players, that gives you more information regarding your next move, your next trade. Maybe that move for the Knicks is going to be Giannis attent. And if it is, understanding where the market is for current allstars, current superstars, that’s going to be important for Leon Rose and this Knicks front office. So that’s where I think it goes regarding AD and their interest. But as Ian Bagley stated there, I do not believe that the Knicks are actually going to trade for Anthony Davis for a number of reasons, but the main one is regarding finances and assets, even if the money could work. Ask yourself this question. Would the Dallas Mavericks, after giving up Luca for AD, accept the lesser package for Anthony Davis to get him off the team so they can try to rebuild around Cooper flag? Does that make sense? Because in my opinion, it really doesn’t make any sense. I understand it’s the Mavericks and anything can happen, but I don’t even think they’re that stupid to make another huge mistake after the Lucas situation. So, I do not believe that the Knicks will trade for Anthony Davis at the deadline. But then the question after that that always comes up is what are the Knicks going to do then? Are they gonna make a move? Are they not going to make a move? Are they going to make a lower level move? Well, shout out to Ian Begley because he also gave us this information on what the Knicks are going to do at the deadline. And if you were hoping for the Knicks to make a trade, you might get your wish. However, the player the Knicks likely are going to trade for is going to be a veteran backup point guard. Shout out to Ian Begley for answering the following question on one of his editions of his mailbag. One Nick fan asked Ian Baggley, “Do you think the Knicks look to address the need for another rim protector at the deadline? Nick Richards may be back in the fold and dier works theoretically.” Here’s what Begley had to say in response to this question. According to him, if I’m making a guess today, I’m guessing that the Knicks look for veteran point guards on the trade market before they look for frontline help. Remember, the Knicks signed Malcolm Brogden in September with the hope that he’d be their backup point guard. They’ve had to go to plan B once Brogden retired. So far, plan B has been point guard by committee. Second-year point guard Tyler Cole was in the mix early in the regular season, but he’s been out of Mike Brown’s rotation for the past three weeks. Even though last night against the Nets, he saw additional time because Landry Shaman is now out. Now, obviously things can change with Tyler Kick playing the way he played last night. Maybe if he continues to look that way, New York does not need a veteran backup point guard at the trade deadline. However, it was only a few weeks ago where the Knicks were playing point guard by committee while they were missing Jaylen Brunson. and Tyler Kolk he did not see any time even though the Knicks were missing a few players and Tyler Kolk he did not see any time I don’t know if that continues moving forward given the Landry Shamid injury and all the other players that we have out but if New York is more or less fully healthy will Tyler Kola get minutes will he play I’m not too sure about that and if he’s not going to play and New York at least according to Ian Begley look like they’re going to prioritize a backup veteran point guard over any other position, then Tyler Koh and Pakcom Dier come the trade deadline could find themselves on the trading block because let’s not forget New York before Malcolm Brogden retired wanted to keep both Landry Shamut and Malcolm Brogden. And the only way for them to do that would have been to make a trade to get rid of one of these young players, either Tyler Koh or Pakcom Dier. They had it with Brogden, then he retired, then they lost it. And ever since then, they’ve been looking for it. But come the trade deadline, at least according to Ian Begley, it looks like they’re going to get another veteran guard to add to this team. And shout out to channel sponsor FanDuel, America’s number one sports book, for giving us this updated information and these latest odds on who’s going to win the NBA Cup this season. As you can see, OKC is still on top at plus 115. Then the Lakers are at plus 850. Then the Nuggets are at plus 950. Then we have some new players on this list. And the Knicks have finally returned to this list. The Pistons, the Knicks, and the Raptors are all rounding out this list at number four at plus,200. On paper, I understand why the Knicks are looking for a veteran point guard, especially after I broke down that whole Malcolm Brogden situation. However, if I’m looking at the team from top to bottom, and I’m looking at what the Knicks need the most, they need a very big and athletic wing, somebody that can play the three, the four, and the five. Maybe they can defend multiple positions. Either way, that’s the type of player New York needs to look for come the trade deadline because honestly, that’s the type of player that we need right now. Maybe you could argue that we have that player on the team already. But what good is it if Mike Brown is not going to utilize that player? You might as well get him a player that fills that role that he will use, that he will put in the game, and that will have an impact to help the Knicks while certain players are out. With OG Anobi out, we need more players out there who are athletic, who are tall, who are long, have a great wingspan, are defensive minded. We need more players like that. We actually have players like that on the bench. They need more opportunity and time to develop. But those players, we have them. But if New York is unwilling to do that, then you know what’s going to happen. I don’t have to explain it to you. This season is a win now season. The Knicks are in win now mode. They will make any trades, any moves they need to make if it gets them this much closer to an NBA championship. Right now, Leon Rose and this Knicks front office is focused on this season and helping New York win a championship right now. So that means come the trade deadline, every single offer that’s on the table, they will be looking at it and reviewing it. And if they feel that trade is the right move to make, I promise you, Leon Rose, he’ll make that move. But what about you guys? What do you think about Ian Begley’s update regarding the Knicks trading for Anthony Davis, and ultimately why it’s unlikely to happen? Let me know how you feel about that in the comments section below, guys. because honestly I would love to hear from you. But that’s going to do it for this episode. I hope you enjoyed it and if you did, go ahead and smash that like button, leave a comment below, and of course, guys, please subscribe to the channel. Until next time, Nick fans, take care of yourself, your families, and each other. Peace and

  3. Why the knicks want him is beyond my comprehension he stsy hurt and hes not worth moving certain pieces. And the money value is crazy. He not worth the paper work.Listen i wont give up my 3string bench guys for Davis

  4. Troy I watch basketball I'm a big fan but the Knicks are not going to be any of the tough seats they can barely be the east that is hurt and you think they're going to be Denver OKC the rockets even the Lakers I want some of you been smoking

  5. We fleeced the Mavs to get Brunson so now it’s the Mavs turn to fleece us with the king of street clothes? NO THANK YOU!!! BTW the Mavs are looking stupider by the day with Luka playing so great.

  6. Enough already!!! They need to find another team to spread those crazy rumors. Rose isn't going to bring another injury to this team!!! Best shooting Big for a player that will give you 15% of play!!! This organization already has Mitch to handle.
