Nick Nurse reveals that Paul George is dealing with ankle soreness after playing just three games this season: “Reported soreness in the ankle after the game the other night. Has not been in anything since then, and we’re just trying to keep following up on that and seeing where he is.”

  1. I don’t think the number of games has anything to do with it. I think he rolled his ankle at some point.

That said, we need him on the court because he fills a ton of gaps on this team.

Also I don’t think PG is deciding not to play.

  2. It is amazing to me that people still speak as if Joel and PG can make it through a playoff run lol

Some of the most powerful delusion I’ve seen

  3. What I don’t get is this fanbase acting like this is some sort of moral failing of George or Embiid.

I think people are reluctant for whatever reason to point the finger at who is actually to blame here. Morey should be long gone.

  4. Everybody gets ankle soreness and knee soreness. You don’t sit out two weeks every time you feel a little sore. That’s part of the job if you’re a professional athlete. Can you imagine if football was like this? Like Jordan Mailata has a sore ankle so we’re gonna sit him for the next three weeks. Come on man, seriously. I’m sure the NBA and NBC are pissed off that the sixers did that. Probably costed them 10’s of millions of dollars in viewership and ad revenue.

  5. That pussy poo George softer than charmin

I dunno how the Sixers keep landing these soft losers

  6. I think the NBA decoder ring translates this to “I want to be traded but I can’t say it and the sixers want to trade me but can’t say it.”

  7. They really should call basketball players basketball possibles..

These guys never play, but we all put some varying degree of stock into how much better the team will get when they get healthy and possibly come back. It is just not a fun sport at the moment.

  8. Just play the young guys and move on. George and Embiid are cooked and they’d rather steal money then retire with dignity. They’ve already retired with full pay.

  9. I know blaming Nurse is becoming a popular take here, but can you imagine trying to coach a team when half of the roster’s availability is up in the air on game day?

  10. Dude is dealing with being a bitch. Dude is cooked and trippin. At least Embiid put his all for the team and game.

  11. We waited for years for the “Once we have the space we can go grab and then max a superstar to play next to Embiid!”

And then we blew that on fucking 35 yo Paul George.
