Playing McNeil at DE is the result of Brad thinking he was good at the trade deadline when in reality he wasn’t good..yall thought Muhammad was about to go on a tear when he is just a situational pass rusher who was hot at the time..

I could see them using Davenport in that spot and maybe a rotation between Davenport and Muhammed will work a bit. Also maybe see if we can get Barnes over there on 3rd down situations a 3rd down pass rush specialist

  1. I dunno, I agree that we’re good at DE. Certainly better than what would have been realistically available before the trade deadline

  2. Muhammad has just been really really bad lately. Saw a couple plays vs NY where he not only lost contain but took out our own guy coming in from the other edge trying to pursue.

    EDGE is an expensive position both in trade capital and cash which we’re trying to save to extend our guys, so I get trying to save when you know Davenport and Paschal are coming back at some point. Just hoping those guys stay healthy

  3. Oh good we get Davenport back for one game before going on IR – hopefully its a good one and he balls out

  4. They won’t do it but Davenport should be on a strict snap count the rest of the year. 15 snaps per game is the only way he has a chance to make it to the playoffs

  5. lol Davenport will play 5 snaps and break something again. Really hope we take an edge player in the 1st round or sign someone good after this season because Hutch really needs help.

  8. Who the fuck do people think would have been some magical fix at the trade deadline? How does that fix the offense? The defense has been good 90% of the time and looked elite in some games.

    I swear half this sub is braindead or they’ve only been watching the NFL for a couple of years

  9. Wants to be better on third down? Have they tried running it up the middle or throwing screen passes 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage? I bet that would work!

    The defense HAS been pretty good this year and has kept us in games like the Eagles, when it was our offense that shit the bed. 

  11. These interviews are always so cringey to me. You can hear the apathy in Dans voice when he does these. It almost feels like they’re talking down to him. “Defense wasn’t up to par last week. What happened?” “Where are you at emotionally coming out of that game?” Just something off about their attitude. Could be so much more insightful and it’s always the same
