Chiefs vs. Cowboys HAS IT ALL! ๐ Peter Schrager says a loss COULD BE THE DYNASTY’S END! | Get Up
Let’s make some opening statements. Lewis Riddick Packers Lions will get our day started. What’s your opening statement? If I was starting a football team right now, Jamie, there isn’t a running back in the league that I would want more than Jir Gibbs. This guy is living up to everything that they thought they were getting when they drafted him out of Alabama. And I’ll tell you what, Brad Holmes took a lot of heat when he took Jir Gibbs in the first round. Not taking so much heat anymore. You see the kind of power this guy runs with at his size at about 210 205. You saw the speed. You see it right here. Dame Beltton had an angle on him on that overtime touchdown run and he couldn’t catch him. He could not catch him. This guy is the real deal. He is an all-around back and quite honestly if you really giving MVPs the running backs and they featured him, he would win the MVP. Meanwhile, Nick, this game has been played before. At least these teams met week one and it was all about the Green Bay defense. Yeah. And it was it got out of hand really quick. They were unblockable up front. And the pride that the that the Lions have in that offensive line, it came into question right off the gate. I think that they’ve had a rougher season than we’re used to them having. But they’re going to try to get revenge this week against Micah Parsons in that front because they got after that quarterback and they made it almost impossible. So there’s going to be some pride on the line on Thanksgiving. A standalone game. We’re all going to watch to see if they got any better. It’s a huge game to start our day. Then the night cap. Kimberly Martin, give me an opening statement on the Bengals and Ravens. Thursday night, we’ll all be thinking that we’ve been robbed of the greatness of Joe Burrow all season. Think about all the years that he’s been hurt. And when you see him step onto the field, I was I covered the Bengals last week and I thought maybe we’re going to see Joe Burrow. I got really excited because he’s so talented. Think about last year they almost made the playoffs despite him missing time. Week 18, they got knocked out. They can run the table. It’s not It’s not, you know, it’s hard. It’ll be it’s not impossible though. So I think uh he’s just so special. They’re bringing him back because they think they have a chance still at three and eight to win the division. Jeff, what do you expect from Burrow coming off all this inactivity for so many weeks? Yeah, I think from Kmart’s perspective, you would hope he comes played he’s played well against the Ravens in in the past, but the bottom line is I’d be disrunous if I didn’t say it’s really hard not practicing and not playing this many weeks and coming back into the speed of the game. And again, pass rush, right? none of the things that you can you could simulate in true practice. Getting hit, getting off the ground, all the things that have to happen if you know, he can be Superman. Absolutely. But I I just I’m not sure he’s going to be vintage Joe Burrow in week one coming off that injury. Yeah. And speaking of pass rush, let’s hope he can generate one because it’s his team’s defense that’s really their problem. All right. And then Peter, we get to the game everyone is looking forward to the Chiefs and the Cowboys. What’s our opening statement? Grainy, the record for the most viewed regular season game in NFL history is 42 million Giants Cowboys in 2021. There is talk that this game between America’s team, the Cowboys, and the world’s team, the Chiefs, could hit 50 million viewers on CBS Thursday afternoon. Both teams season on the line, looking at this as a must-win game. Playoffs at stake coming off huge comeback victories. It’s the game of the year in the NFL and it’s on Thanksgiving afternoon. Look, 50 million is like what they get for championship games, right? That’s AFC Championship, NFC Championship, you know, building up to the Super Bowl. This one has that feel. Let’s hear from one of the big stars, Cowboys star receiver CD Lamb. We’ve seen all the drops of late. It’s uncharacteristic. Here’s what he said about it yesterday. There’s not really much on anybody else but myself, and I’ve never been a type to really point the finger, but yeah, it’s it’s all on me, and I got to handle that. just find ways to get better. You want to be solution oriented and not really much dwell on the problem. Granted, we know the problem. I need to catch ball, but but other than that, man, it’s all it’s a we’ll be fine when I do catch it. Just be ready. So, look, here are the numbers. Uh he is on pace CD Lamb is for his fewest receiving yards since his rookie season. You’ll recall that he missed some time this year, but his drop rate is 11%. That’s second worst in the NFL. He’s never had a drop rate above 6% in his previous five seasons. We talked about it in our meeting this morning. Lewis, you’re not overly concerned about that. No, simply because of the statistic you just rattled off. Look, he’s never had a drop percentage that has been even half of that in his entire career. Guys go through slumps. They’re human beings. It’s it’s something that happens. CD has never been a guy ever since his days at Oklahoma or his days at Dallas that’s been really associated with having concentration drops, having bad hands, having anything along that line. He’ll get this squared away. This is this is a nothing thing to me. That said, if you’re Kansas City and you’re going into this game, where is your primary focus? Well, it’s about eliminating explosive plays and George Pickkins right now is a walking explosive player. He is a walking nightmare. So, for me, as we were talking about in our in our uh production meeting this morning with Dom, look, you have to high low this guy. Meaning, you have to put somebody in his face, meaning roll the coverage to him and put somebody over the top. You don’t want to cone him. You don’t want to in and out him. He’ll just split double teams that way. You have to high low him and say look you are not going off for plus 20 yard explosive. Someone else may but you aren’t. So today take a seat is talking language and Greeny is excited. Green is like I have learned more in the last 30 seconds and in my entirety of life about DB play. In our in our meeting this morning we had a green dog. We’re going to cone him. We’re going to high low him. We’re going to one robber. All the coverages. We got one lur. Stay away. Yeah, cuz now Mahomes starts scrambling. You got to have a lurker there to get him. Over got to get We do a football English English football dictionary version of this. Dominique, what what are we saying here? What is If you’re the Kansas City defense, what are you doing to stop these? Honestly, you go step one and Pickins has been hot. So, you want to figure out if you’re going to double him, but the problem is then you go to step two and you got your fingers crossed and and hope that Lamb doesn’t come out of this slump just yet, but he probably will. So, the only way they actually can um stop this offense is if they get pressure, the pass rush. If you don’t give Dak time, if you don’t give those receivers time to get open against this coverage, you’re much better off because you don’t have enough guys to double all the talent that they have out there. Out there’s a good matchup for Dallas. It is. It’s very because what what they do well, exceptionally well, is a weakness for the Chiefs. Like, you think McDuffy is their guy. He’s their best cover corner on the backside. We just talked about you can’t single up George Pickkins by himself, right? Right. I mean that that’s that’s a tall task to ask. So you’re going to contribute something to him. Now you’re leaving Sidi. And by the way, they got a beast of a tight end in Ferguson. You one of the hottest quarterbacks in the league who’s leading this charge. We talked about this all season. The Cowboys have the absolute an offense that could carry them to the Super Bowl if their defense just played well enough. It is going to be a difficult task. And to Dom’s point about matchups, Spags is going to have to be in his bag of of getting pressure and creating pressure to get Dak off his spot, make him hesitate with the ball to allow people to catch up. But when I say it’s a good matchup, Javant Williams can run the rock. Their offensive line, you looked, Booker did a great job against Philly. I know Gayton, we have an injury with Gayton that the Cowboys left tackle, but they’ll figure that part out. When you look at the matchup, I would say I would favor the Cowboys because of what they do exceptionally well. That that that’s not consistent with when we usually talk about the Chiefs. So, we got all our X’s and O’s. I’m going to slide over this way a little bit because I’m I probably can contribute more on this part of the conversation, which is the psychology of it because it’s fascinating for both teams. Starting with Kansas City. Kansas City was down 20 to9 against the Colts last week and driving when Kareem Hunt fumbles the ball and it looks like that was the season and they could have said, “Okay, not only the season, this could have been the end of maybe the dynasty.” That’s how dramatic this could have been. You watch this play here, Colts recover and everyone’s feeling down in Kansas City except the leaders. Watch how Travis Kelce approaches Kareem Hunter. Says, “Hey bud, come on. Stay up.” Hunt’s pissed. He’s down. Kelsey then says, “No, we need you. we need you here. I was told that in the commercial break, which wasn’t on the broadcast copy, Chris Jones then led the defense and got them going and then led the crowd. They were down 20 to9 with the season on the line and they found a way to dig out of that. That was the deer of the season. They would have been five and six going into this game. I don’t know if we’re talking about the Chiefs of Super Bowl contenders. They find a way to go three and out three straight times against the Colts. They get the offense going. They win the game. But gosh, 91 offensive plays on Sunday. It’s Wednesday now. Yeah. It is exhausting to have to win that way every single week. And here we are again, another game of the year that the Chiefs have to play in. Absolutely. And and so for them to then make that turnaround psychologically, emotionally, and go on the road against the Cowboys team Kmart, who is a psychology major at Wesleyan. How about the psychology piece of this from the Cowboys? So, you heard Peter talk about the deficit that the Chiefs faced. Well, how many points were the were the Eagle, excuse me, were the Cowboys down to Eagles? 21. Right. A Cowboys coach text me and said, “There was never a doubt that we would come back in this game.” And that and he credited to Brian Shottenheimimer. He said, “The confidence that Shotti instills in his players and the coaches, we we knew we were coming back. We kept saying just one play at a time.” And guess what happened? This is a Cowboys team that is coming to this game very confident. All the pressure I think is on Kansas City because nobody’s expecting the Cowboys to win, right? Well, they play well very well at home. Can I just speak to like what Kmart’s saying about like shotty and how you know that’s true that they believe it. They didn’t get out of their game plan. They kept running the football. They allowed the game to come that if you watch Cowboy games of past that would have been an implosion. Those dude just stayed the course after the second the three minutes in the second quarter. The defense locks up Philly. I mean it when you say special moments in seasons and like defining moments that was a defining moment and to her point shotty it didn’t look like he was shaken which is hard to do in the NFL down 21

We also have Turpin and Flo both of them will beat you WE'RE FULL OF PLAYMAKERS AND IF BLUE IS ACTIVATED MAN IT'S A GREAT ROSTER OUR BACKUPS CAN START AND WIN WITH THEM
This is not a great matchup for rhe Cowboys. Cap af
I canโt stand the chiefs but the cowgirls along with Jerry are beyond insufferable and delusional. They need to be out the playoff convo
So far my prediction of KC 2 games in this week has been 50% correct, I said KC can beat Colts at home but somehow will lose to Cowboys just because of quick turnaround after a big game. Let's see if it comes to fruition. This is not hate talk, just logical sense. The team that has been pedestrian, playing really good at home and bad on the road, got a short rest time and have to travel for next game, and Cowboys is good at home. Its a tough week, and it's not like KC at home was beating Colts dominantly, they have to scratch and claw to finally get a win. It's not out of possibilities that after ThxGiving, Chiefs and their fans have to look at 6-6 record and pray for the other teams that they chase for playoff spot lose their next game.
The rigged NFL will do everything in thier power to make sure the Chiefs make it to the SB.
Flock Nation ๐๐ค
@7:10 Dallas Cowboys LT Tyler Guyton being out and Kansas City defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo looks to attack any opposing teams weakness
Dak Prescottโs legacy is secure if he beats KC on Turkey Day ๐ฆ
If the chiefs win again it'll be the same discussions next week. Cowboys please help us
Cowboys will choke on their turkey, I see it coming as clear as day! I hope not but thatโs the way I see it, I wonโt bet it, I think K.C. -3 1/2 is a little much! K.C. -1 1/2 should be the line so the smart money is on K.C.
I for one am so grateful that they have a minority woman on here because who would know football on this expert panel if not for her.
Chiefs are not a dynasty. 3 straight is a dynasty. Minimum 3 in 4. 3 in 6 is not.
The greatness of Joe Borrow??? Iโm not saying he isnโt good but great is way overstating it. There is only ONE truly great qb in the league and he lives in KC. Allen is close but burrow is tier 2. Tell me, what makes burrow great? What has he accomplished? What has he won?
Imagine youโre the Chiefs going into this game saying letโs see if Lamb can beat us. With that being said Javonte Williams needs to have about 25 carries.
๐ cowboys have an offense that can lead them to a super bowl huhโฆ.. 30 YEARS would say otherwise and Daks got quite the playoff record dont ya think ๐๐๐๐
Wow! No talk of the Eagles broken passing game or how the Chiefs are a pass first team with one of the best QBs of all time facing probably the worst passing defense in the league!? ๐ฎ
Last year, they were still debating if the Chiefs are a dynasty; now if it's ending? I guess it is. The only old player is Kelce. Clickbait.
It's not uncharacteristic he has at least two drops a game every game of his career 3:35
LOL so they miss the playoffs ONE YEAR since Mahomes has started…and the Dynasty is over? Do they know anything about the NFL? Anything about Tom Brady's career? Ignorant clown.
donโt EVER call the chiefs the worlds team again
People don't realize that most teams that lose a Superbowl, the next year they don't do well.
I like KMart. However, just answer me this. Why wear clothing that you have to keep pulling down? You know you are on camera. Sit behind the desk or wear longer dresses.
Who wins this game ?
Mahomo will get his typical flags and win ๐
Reminder that the Dallas Cowboys with Dak Prescott were also the Team that sent Tom Brady into Retirement in the 2022 Wild Card Round.
lol Cowboys donโt need to go to a championship game or Super Bowl to get those type of ratings! Thanks to the sorry haters ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
Cowboys have zero chance…. cowboys fan here…stop hyping them the hype is long gone
Worlds team? Not in this country DBL.
A dynasty does not end because of a down year.
0:50 2 weeks ago we were talking about Jonathan Taylor winning the MVP, now it's Jamyr Gibbs.
The Worldโs team? What is this guy on. Weirdo
Kim lookin so fine dressed as ghost of christmas present
both teams are mediocre this year. Itโs a tossup.
