Your focus right now is on beating this New York Giants team. You got to be playing consistent, good football heading into the month of December. Let’s go now, fellas. Let’s get back to who we are right here, right now. Let’s go. Let’s go. 97. Let’s be great. Let’s go, buddies. Let’s go. Let’s go, boys. Let’s be great. Be great. Be great. Let’s go, buddy. Seven games left in this season. The Lions sitting in third place with some work to do, but everything they need to handle is right in front of them starting today against New York. These three games are going to go a long way towards defining what this Lions season is going to be. Today, the Lions want to remind everybody who they are. They’ve defined themselves in the National Football League, and they want to go out and remind everybody of exactly what they are, who they are, and what they’re capable of today. Go, baby. Let’s go, baby. Let’sing go, boys. Let’s go, boys. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Let’sing go, baby. Let’sing go, baby. Let’s go. Let’s go, baby. All right, baby. Let’s do it. Let’s go. All right, man. We are underway. That is going to be taken by Oesi, who cuts left to the 25, gets to the 30, and taken down at the 31 yd line. Dropped immediately by Malcolm Rodriguez. How nice is it to see Rodrigo back? Yeah, Mount. Welcome back, Mel. So, here come the Giants now. First and 10 from their own 30. Quarterback is Jameus Winston. Made his debut as a Giant last week against Green Bay. Winston takes the snap, tosses to Singleary. He’s going to throw it back to Winston. Winston looking downfield. Loftson throws. It is caught. Touchdown Giants. Little razledazzle makes the Lions pay. Giants score 39 yds. What a first quarter it’s been for the combination of Winston and Juan Delale Robinson and the New York Giants leading the Lions 10 nothing as we begin the second quarter. Let’s go D. Starts with you guys. Let’s go, fellas. Let’s go. Let’s go. 14. Let’s go, buddy. One play. One play. Takes one play to pop it. Let’s go. First down from their own 35. Demo fake to him. Golf wants to throw. Does got it complete. That is Brock Wright left side across the 50 and into New York territory down at the 45 yd line. Wright gets submarined there. Ends up picking up 20 on the play. Flanigan Fos and Belton take him down. They’re starting to get in a little rhythm right. They have these intermediate routes that are working for them. Got to have a play here. Lions trailing 10 to nothing. Looking at a third and goal from the New York 11. Golf works out of the gun. Giants show four across the front. There’s the snap. Quick throw right side. Got it to Aman Rod. Needs a couple blocks. Gets the five. Almond Rod of the two to the one to the zone. Oh, baby. Touchdown Detroit Lions. Just moving bodies from the five into the end zone. 11 yds on the connection. Boy, did the Lions need that. Good job. Good job. Good job. Good job. Nice job on the perimeter of those guys getting their blocks. Brock Wright, Paneet, Khalif Raymond. Late drive. So good. Third and 12 touchdown. Good job. Hell yeah. A dart from Jameus Winston. hauled in by Hodes for the TD. The Giants answer that Lion touchdown with another one of their own. It is New York 17, the Lions seven. Four minutes to go in the first half. You can get right back in this game and you can even take the lead if you can string together a couple of TD drives. Take care of it. Do your job. So, right now, you got to score just to keep up here. Remember, you get the ball to start the second half as well. Let’s go, fellas. Let’sing go. Let’sing go. Let’s go. So now golf and the offense back on the field trailing by 10. Fells, we can get after these guys now. Got everything we want. We’re going to do it right here. Jir Gibbs. The way that he has that explosive nature. It feels like every time he touches the football, he’s going to take it the distance. Second down and one for the Lions. Goff turns, gives to Gibbs. Gibbs finds a hold inside the 45. Angling right at the 40, right sideline. 30, 25, 20, 15, down to the 10, down to the five. and he’s taken out just shy of the end zone. It’ll be first and goal for the Lions. Jir Gibbs doing what he does. Big block to help spring up from Graham Glasco that time and it’s a gain of 49. First and goal. Lions from the three of New York Golf. Play action fake. Sets throws right side. Caught. Gibbs reaches for the end zone. Did he get it? Yes, sir. Touchdown Detroit Lions. Hey, zero. Way to go, buddy. Nice job. Great catch. Had to float that thing in there. Golf to Gibbs. Sweet little ball handling there by Jir. Just reaching it out inside the pylon for the score. Jir Gibbs. What finesse down there by the goal line. Making sure he stays in bounds and getting that ball across the plane. Well, he put it at, you caught it. That’s a hell of a job that Michael Jordan right there. There’s the snap spot kick away. It is up and it is good. Coup sends it through. So, it’s now the Giants 20 and the Lions 14. 38 seconds to go in the half. The Lions do have two timeouts to work with. Let’s go get some. Let’s go get some here. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Good pro. It’s going to work. We got to will it. Yes, sir. What would be good too if we could get a nice play from the special team to start this drive off. Leap to the 15 to the 20. Cuts right at the 25. There he goes. 30 right side line. 35 to the 40 and out to the 42 yd line. You called it Lis. Lions needed a play. Hey, they got one right there. Khali Framan with a big return. So, 31 seconds to go. They have it at their own 43. Two timeouts to work with. Down by six. Jared takes the snap back and looking. Jared stepping into a throw right side. Got a man in the middle. It’s caught inside the 30. Down to the 23 yd line. Goes Kyra with a diving grab. Lions are going to hustle to the line. Down to 10 seconds to go now. Got to go. Got to go. Got to go. Clock. Jared’s going to get him lined up with nine with eight and he spikes it with seven. So Bates will try to tack on three here in what should be the final play of the first half. Kick away by Jake. It is up and it is good. So on the final play of the half, the Lions pull within three. It is New York 20 and the Lions 17. Lions will get the ball to start the third quarter. What’s up? Good. How are you? Good second half. Thank you. Which way are we going here? This way. We’re going to take this way. Keep making plays. Keep going. Keep going. Let’s go. Zero. Got to make a decision here, fellas. Come on. Got to want a little bit more. Come on, baby. Come on, baby. Eight plays of at least 20 yardds by these offenses. Lions at six and four. Started the season 4 and one. 10 play action fake. Golf sets. Watch the throw. Does deep right side. It is Aman Ra caught across the 35 and out to the 39 yd line. A diving twisting catch by Aman Ra who goes down at the 40 yd line. Really nice grab that time and a gain of 30. Third down and four. There is a flag as St. Brown makes the catch and he’s still going. No. No. It can’t be on us. On you. Yeah. Good. Off sides. Good. Good. Good. Good. Arman Ross splits both of the defenders. Runs right through Drew Phillips’s tackle. Gets a big gain. Five receptions out of six targets, 96 yds so far. G is going to work out of the gun. Montgomery joins him in the back field. Giants show Ford across that defensive front on third down. There’s the shotgun snap. Golf back. Goff looking. Golf throwing middle up and intercepted off the hands of Aman Ross St. Brown. Javon Holland makes the pick off the carum. And that’s a huge takeaway for New York. Another trick play. Osenski with the pass. Oh, into the end zone for a Giants touchdown. Jameus Winston. Spot down. Kick away. Up and good. It’s now the Giants 27 and the Lions 17 as New York goes 85 yds in nine plays. 503 off the clock. Hey, dig the in. Dig the in. No one’s coming to save us. Make some plays. Let’s go. Dig in. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. Lions certainly still alive, but you got to make something happen here. They’ve not scored in the second half. Giants lead it by 10 on first down. Golf wants to throw. Does right side. Got a man wide open. Caught by Aman 40 yd line 45 and run out of bounds to 46. But a nice shot that time for 27 to start this drive. Here go. Give me. Here we go. New York up by 10. 11 minutes to go in the game. Goff takes Gibbs. Gibbs finds some room inside the 40. Down to the 35. Still going to the 25 racing at the 10. Down to the five to the end zone. Touchdown Detroit Lions. That’s what we need. Jir Gibbs bursting through the line and to the house for 49 yds. That is exactly what this team needed. A wakeup call, a slap in the face. It’s go time, fellas. Right here. right now. Come on, man. Win games, man. Great job, coach. Great job. Great job. And the defense, look, you you need to get a takeaway, man. It’s been a long time. Last takeaway was uh here at Ford Field at Terion Arnold’s interception against Minnesota. It’s been 12th quarter since they’ve had one defensively. Picked up by the Lions. Intercepted at the 45 yd line. Take away. That’s what they needed. Defense coming up with a huge play. Thomas Harper stepping in front of the intended receiver. That is the first takeaway in three games. Hey, you at play. So, the Lions cannot take advantage of the takeaway. Come up empty on offense. They still trail by three in the game. Winston hands to Tracy running right stood up at the three and taken down there. Lions are going to take their first time out with 311 to go. Ball inside the three yd line now. They score a touchdown. Your back’s really against the wall. You got to find a way to keep him out of that end zone. Winston takes play action fake, sets in the pocket, looks right side, throws incomplete and it’s going to bring up now a third and goal for New York from the two. Three tight ends for the Giants. And an extra blocker. Stinny. There’s Single Terry. Nowhere to go. So the Lions defense coming up big on third down. Fellas, this Giants team is two and nine. They’re keeping their offense on the field. So here we go. Giants leading by three. Don’t want the field goal. They want the end zone. Fourth and goal from the Lion Five. Winston’s going to go empty out of the gun. Leans in. There’s the snap. Winston back on fourth down. Looking, throwing. End zone is knocked away. Incomplete. Rockine. Knocks it away from the intended receiver Theo Johnson. And the Lions offense will get that football back. Down by three. 254 to go. Let’s go, boys. Let’s go. Now 254 to play. One timeout. Down by three. you get in these situations sometimes where, hey, you want to try to get out of bounds above the two-minute warning, especially when you have a timeout left plus a two-minute warning, uh, yards are at a premium, right? So, I think if I’ve got a little timeout here, I think if I’m telling my Lions receivers, yards are at a premium. Get up field. Looks out over that defense. Jared back blitz comes. Jared steps into a throw. Got it complete. Amen. First down across the 45 out to the 47 yd line. Clock moving down minute 159. Still plenty of time. So here we go. Second and 10. Golf works out of the gun. There’s the snap. Jared back and looking. Jared stepping, throwing, caught. Giants territory spinning out of a tackle and down to the 41 yd line as Jir Gibbs. They’re in field goal range now. Under a minute to go. Gone. steps up back and looking golf needs a throw. Does over the middle incomplete intended for Gibbs. No flag on the play. You’re going to have to attempt a 50 plus yd field goal from here to tie this game with 33 seconds remaining. By 33 seconds to play in the game. Lions down by three. 59 yd attempt. Hashmark left side. Bates is ready. Snap spot kick away. It is up and it is sir. J sends it through. Tie game. 27 27 28 seconds to go. Wow, man. That’s That is a career long. He put everything he had into this kick. It looks like he’s going to bend wide. Kind of curls back inside. Just sneaks in there. matching a franchise record for the Lions and they have tied this game at 27. Yep. They’re going to go in to take a snap, take a knee, and we’re going to overtime. So, there’s the knee. That’ll do it. We’re going to OT, folks. 2727. They’ll put 10 minutes on the clock. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go, boys. Let’s go now. Just like that. 0 0 first quarter. So, the Lions will get the football first. The Giants had the choice. They They send it to Detroit because they want to know when they get the ball what they have to do. This is the one here. Opening possession of overtime. Golf up under center. Turns. Gives to Gives. Gives hesitates. Then burst the hole. There he goes. 40 on the 45 to the 50. Right sideline. 40. Jets on. There he goes. 105 and zone. Touchdown Detroit Lion Fort. Stand up. Stand up. 65 yds. Go. How about this? How about this? How about this? If you know, you know. Let’s go, baby. Oh, he can’t fly. I’ll build that. Now’s your time, defense. Hey, Hunt, don’t win for us. One play, guys. One play. One play. So, here come the Giants. 605 to go in overtime. Wants to throw. Does left side. Got to complete to Robinson. Robinson gets down to the 29 yd line where he is stopped after a gain of two on the play. Here we go. Third and seven for the Giants from the Lion 29. Winston out of the gun. There’s the snap. Winston hands it off. Not going to get much. Singleary spinning out of one tackle down to the 27. Checking. It’s Tracy. That’s good. Picks up two on the play. So we are down to fourth down right here. And this is your ball game. If the Giants come up short, it’s going to be fourth and five from the Lion 27. There’s the snap to Winston. He’s back on fourth down looking. Pressure comes with ball game. Ball game. Aiden Hutchinson comes up with a sack. Get out of here, boys. Go to the locker room. This game’s over. Hey, Hutch is going to get credit for the sack. I’m going to tell you what. Oi McNeel, the bull rush that he over had over the right guard. Greg Van wrote just took him right into Jameus Winston’s lap. Aiden Hutchinson folds underneath, finishes that thing up. This game did not go how any of us thought it was, but what a win going into Thanksgiving, boys. Way to step up big when your team needed you the most. Hey, give me some. Hey, hey, hey. Why don’t hang in there? Why don’t hang in there? Good. Why don’t hang in there? Way to hang in there. What a battle. Appreciate you. No problem. Lions got the victory. Had to come from behind to do it and they win it over the Giants by a score of 34-27. I am so freaking impressed. Way to go. Good job. Stay in there. Proud of you, buddy. Way to go. It took everything. It took offense. It took defense. It took special teams. And a big sack from Aiden Hutchinson to end it. Lions win it 34-27. I’m just going to chill for a minute. Wow. Holy crap, guys. Win, man. Listen, you you don’t you don’t know exactly how the game’s going to go and you guys just kept swatting it back, man. Buying your time and we made the stop we needed to. Hutch, great job there at the end. It was unbelievable. Our offense when we needed it, baits, all that. We’ll get to this here in a minute, but I’m telling you, man, you don’t know how to ride it. You don’t know what’s going to happen. You just find a way to win. Okay? You find a way to win. The big thing this week is going to be Green Bay, right? We got about three days off here. Not three days off, but three days to get ready for All right. And then we go two and 0. We go two and 0. All right. We just won one. One of three basically at home. That’s a way to just hang in there, man, and find a way. All right. We got to clean some up, too, along the way while we get ready for Green Bay. All right. Give me this here. Game ball. All right. The first one here. I’m going to go through stats. touch. Come on, man. That’s your help. Big time, dude. Big time. I appreciate you, fellas. This is uh this next stretch, man. This is step one. Got to keep going. We got bigger goals than this. And we know that five, man. Five punts, 200 yards, 40 yards. Four inside the 20. I’m pretty sure three of those were inside the 10, man. You talk, ask the defense if they like that. Shout out to everybody on the punt team, man. It takes everybody to play on fun and to do our job. So, thank you guys. All right, listen. This is going to go to a player, but this this does involve everybody, man. It involves more than him, but my guy is he electric. 1. This brought me back to just a few years ago where every game was a heart attack waiting to happen & I must be sick because I kind of missed that feeling 😆 but In Bates we trust because that kick was Chef's Kiss

  2. One of my favorite ever Lions games. This team needed to fight for 4 straight quarters and then some, and they pulled through. What game by Ja, Foxy, Bates and the rest of the crew.

  3. "Let's get it back on track." – Does not get it back on track and arguably blows up the track so it can't be fixed.

EDIT: Also, Hutch? Can you start doing something worthwhile now, please? Thank you!

  4. The thing about the lions is it doesnt matter if they bta a team, it doesnt matter if they dont, what matters like dan Campbell said is they find a way to win
