Insanely low bar of course. Things could always be worse. I think this is a good reminder for anyone that may want a QB in round 1 that it may not magically fix everything. Bring in some competition for sure, or use a later pick, but I really don't think this roster is in a place to burn high value capital or FA money on QB yet. QBs in the draft are kind of crap shoot and we aren't ready for that.

  1. Please stop trying to compare Bryce to McCarthy and feel good about it. You are comparing a 3rd year Qb1 to a guy who is in his 2nd year in the league, who didn’t even play his full rookie year because of injuries and he’s currently been battling injuries this whole year so he has very little experience in the NFL. Not really a good argument.

Edit: Every draft pick in the NFL is a gamble. There’s late round guys playing like round 1 guys so it’s all random.

  2. McCarthy has how many starts in his career? Not looking g good at all, for sure, but Bruce in year 3/being the #1 overall pick should come with higher expectations.

Lol, McCarthy does look really bad. Hope he can turn it around.

  3. We could get there again next week, or maybe he has 150 rating. Who knows. Probably shit tho

  4. Bryce is bad.

Bryce Young has an average target depth of 5.7 yards on 3rd and 10+. Only Justin Fields (4.8) is lower. Not even trying! Sad!

  5. I’m not sure what to respond with, “that just means he’s got nowhere to go but up” or “just remember, it can always be worse.”

  6. I mean the Vikings didn’t have to give up their best offensive player and a shit ton of picks to get their Nine. We did have to trade all that to get our Nine.

  7. “Hey at least the guy we were saying was our franchise QB is better than one of the statistically worst QBs in NFL history”
