He backs up too quickly. There’s no reason to give up that much space. And who fills the space? Carlson as he joins the rush. And I mentioned it earlier. Lapierre, his pass blocked. Coming in with speed for Biddy. A wrist shot. And Lindren, another glove save. He was able to force the puck out of the zone and he has it back to the point. Carlson Faravari. He gets it back from Stro. Baravari on the move. It bounces away. Carlson hammers it on net and Comry is up to the task. Sord played the puck to his right winger. Heads back to Carlson and Comry is hit hard and the Capitals back on the attack. Sandee moves in, drops it off Lier a shot on net. Comry far out to play it. Now it’s Chick. He looks, shoots, and he scores. Games. He had two the other night against Columbus. This shot coming to the net right there. Ethan Frank just missed that one. That was a real nice save by Carry. And then Cherin picks the puck off on the miss. And as he walks in, watch the screening, the depth screening that comes into play right there as Baron kind of goes through the vision. Pressured, but he played it with poise and they’re back into the zone. Carlson a pass across looking for Prous and Comry was there and Shley now skating out with the puck. You’ve got this game tied up and it’s the patience of the power play who has six goals in their LA, you know, six for 13 in their last six games. I mean, it has been pretty good. Yeah, they’ve given up some short-handed goals, but again, when things aren’t good, think about the positive things. And what a great deflection since he arrived. And again, it’s it’s a height of the crossbar, right? I don’t even think that was close. Wait to see if the puck was high stick. I just don’t think that’s even close. Stro in the slot. Back to Carlson. A good blocker save by Comry. That’s because of Alex Ovkin with his 11th of the season. Here’s a rifle as Comry stopped that one. Roy, watch how easy this is. This is a saucer pass to Milano. He gains three zones, backs off the D, and then drops it to Frank. This is a top of a circle shot. He finds his man Valardi. A pass shily moving to the net. And what a stop from Charlie Lindren. keeping it a onegoal game here in Washington. And then really the few seconds later, it’s Valardi to Shley and he tries to stick handle through the middle after Josh Morrisy had his seven game broken is Jacob Chick. That’s right. And Morgan Barrett in the box of punishment. Two minutes for high sticking at the end of that second period. A chance for Washington to add to their lead. And here’s Nestnikov gaining the zone. Perfetti sends it back. Salomon had trouble with it. And here comes Conor Mcichael racing into the zone. He holds, makes a move and he scores. [Applause] Conor Mcichels third of the season and it’s the insurance marker here. The Caps up by two. Well, Perfetti drops this to Salammonson and there’s just not a room for error there. And it’s a tough spot to put the rookie in. And it doesn’t get handled well. And off to the races goes Mcichael who has really not played bad for Washington, but he just hasn’t had the productivity that I think he’s more than capable of having. First road game of a fivegame trip here for the Jets. Really were hoping to start off on the right foot. Down two. Loveskin with a blast. A one-timer and a good save from Comry. Frank moves it. Carlson has it. Decides not to shoot. Carlson unable to hold the line. And now Kyle Connor the pass a little too far. Nomesticov does catch up to it. Centering pass and Morrisy was unaware and almost over skated it. Twoon one back the other way. Mcichel Keith shoots. Comry a fantastic save. He keeps it out. Two goal game here in Washington DC. Eric Comry shutting the door on Mcichael on that one. Chley taking the draw. Scrambled. Valardi put that shot wide to the mark. Morsy to Valardi. Dlo takes it towards the net. Shipley scores. And just like that, the Jets are within one with 449 to go in the third period. Lots of time left. Valardi comes up and finds the quiet zone way up top and he gives it to Dlo and being a right-hand shot. It’s hard for to get that puck to the net, but Dlo does a great job as he gets this puck from Bolardi to pull it in and just get it to the net and it causes a rebound for Shley where it doesn’t get to the net. Samber fan at it. Here’s Ryan Leonard moving shot and Conry got enough to keep it out. Here’s Kyle Connor. Under 10 seconds to go. Kyle Connor moving it to Shley. Shley weaving his way through. Alexander Ovechkin recorded goal No. 908 and Jakob Chychrun extended his goal streak to four games as the Washington Capitals defeated the Winnipeg Jets 4-3.
