The Los Angeles Rams Have A NEW STAR Breaking Out…

The Los Angeles Rams have this upandcoming superstar. The reason I say that is because he has been so damn good lately. Okay? And this is a player that was labeled as a bust early in his career because if we’re being quite honest, he just was not good. But Shawn McVey and this defensive coordinator have done a phenomenal job putting him in position to utilize his strength as a corner. And Emanuel Forbes is becoming that guy. Okay, right here we’re going to see him at the bottom side of our screen. He’s in man coverage. You’re going to see a little bit of uh priest motion with Sterling Shepard. We’re going to rotate over. You’re going to see this DB come over and he’s going to man him up. Right. We got man coverage all around. We got two quick slants. Boom. Boom. Now, you’re actually going to notice that this route actually breaks open, this probably would have been a nice little chunk play for them, right? However, because it’s Emanuel Forbes and because his past because he was targeted a ton early in his career and gave up a lot of plays, teams come into these weeks against the Rams saying, “Let’s target manual force.” Okay? And it’s it has not gone well in this game. In this game before we even diving into the play, he was targeted eight times. Eight times he was targeted. Zero zero receptions allowed. You take that how you want. Here’s a really good play right here. Bottom side. Again, I can’t really tell. Leverage. Looks like it might just be straight up. Um, so boom. Quick slant over the middle. He’s got great speed by the way. Gets into the play. Boom. Easy, easy, easy, easy. Love it. Gets his hand into the cookie jar. Plays it well. Doesn’t hold. You see him actually grab the jersey for a second, but he doesn’t overdo it. Okay, it’s good. That’s how you don’t get called for a penalty right here. You grab it a little bit, get off. Get off quick. Okay. Boom. I mean, that is execution to a tea. He is becoming the guy that the commanders thought he would be. And I’m going to break down a ton of film from this game. Eight targets, zero catches allowed versus a good offense. Yeah, sign me up, guys. Really quickly, hit the like button. Hype the video if possible. You guys, man, Rams fans, you guys are amazing. You guys are amazing. So, keep hyping the video. I love y’all. Appreciate y’all. Let’s keep going. Okay, another phenomenal play. You see him at the bottom side, press man versus Chris Godwin. He has outside leverage on the receiver, which means he is just playing a step to the outside. Um, basically that is trying to force him to the middle of the field where we don’t want him to beat as deep. But again, Emanuel Forbes is one of those guys where you’re not too scared to put in pressband coverage because he’s got great closed gap speed um close separation type of speed uh with him. Right. So right here essentially we’re going to get a little bit of priest motion. Looks like this is probably man-to-man coverage just by that motion by the linebacker. So they know that coming into the play they look right. They’re gonna scan left because again, the only thing they want to do here is find Emanuel Forbes. It just seems like that’s what they’re I mean, you targeted target him eight times. Okay, you know, they wanted to target him coming. That was the game plan. Targeted Emanuel Forbes. So, you see him look right away. Look right away at Chris Godwin. Now, look at Forbes gets B here. That’s about two yards of separation. Great job by the defensive line creating the pressure, forcing a late throw here, but ultimately they’ve got separation, close back or the close speed is unbelievable. Close speed is different. It is unbelievable. This is what is so different about Emanuel Forbes. He actually look at look at Chris Gowin try to initiate outside leverage here. Opens up Emanuel Forb’s hips completely in the wrong direction. The fact that he doesn’t allow a big chunk play right here is unbelievable. I mean, that is spectacular. And that’s why he was drafted in the first round because the speed, the anticipation of routes. And he’s got he has a great ability for the football, right? He he’s got a great eye for the football. He can make a lot of big time plays. I’m I’m telling you, man. I’m telling you, this guy could be legit legit for them, which is crazy. Now, notice how Emanuel Forbes is always the only one to be in press coverage. Again, it’s because of the speed. Um, and really quickly, guys, do me a big favor. I’m not sure how long this video is going to be. Hit the like button, but most importantly, subscribe if you’re a Rams fan. We’ve been covering the Rams all year, and we’re going to continue to do so. So, don’t go anywhere. We got you guys covered, probably even in the offseason as well. So, stay tuned, man. We are just getting started. Right here, we’re gonna see a quick little stop route by uh Emecha Ibuka and Emanuel Forbes plays it extremely extremely well. Little bit of pre-stat motion. We got a little bit of rotation here by the defense as we drop back again. Their first read is Emanuel Forbes. They want to throw the ball to his side of the field and uh boom, once he stops, balls out actually pretty well with anticipation, but Emanuel Forbes reads this thing like an absolute book. Stays in front again. Another PBU. I think he had four four PBUs in this game. Four of them. Four PBUs. That’s that that’s uncalled uncalled for. I mean uncalled for. That’s unheard of. I like Emanuel Forbes. I don’t know. I haven’t been paying too much attention to him all year, but it looks like he’s had since week six, since week six, he’s had a number of good games. Early on in the year he struggled versus the Colts struggled versus San Francisco struggled and versus Philadelphia did struggle but since then Baltimore Jacksonville Saints San Fran again Seattle and then Tampa Bay looked really good at least I know that doesn’t mean everything but um according to them he’s looked pretty good. Monday Night Football is officially here. We got Packers, we got Eagles. Should be a really good game. At least in my opinion, it’s got that potential. Now, I am having so much fun on the Sleeper app. I can possibly over 1,000x my money every single day on this app. And it is been so much fun so far. And I kind of wanted to share you some of my picks before we do so. And you guys can see them, but if you use my promo code dubs, you see it right here, you are going to get a 100% match deposit up to $100, which means if you put in $100, they’re going to give you $100. If you put in 50, they’ll give you 50, right? It is a steal. A steal. I would do it just for that. Now, take a look at my picks. I’m going Saquon Barkley, more than 50 rushing yards. AJ Brown, more than 40 receiving yards. Jaylen Herz, at least one touchdown. Jordan Love, more than 200 passing yards. And Romeo Dobs, more than 40 receiving yards. It’s all lower than you may think. And And I think it’s safe. I 30 to win 63. Not too crazy, not too wild. Let me know what you guys are doing for tonight. Are you going big? Are you staying safe? Let me know. And let’s get back to the video. We also had to just show the interception here. It was just a Hail Mary before halftime, I believe. The play that Baker Mayfield got injured. And ultimately, they’re just going to chuck it down there. Forbes sitting here to the bottom side of the screen. I don’t want to say baiting, but obviously he could be dropping back a lot further if you if you wanted to. I think what he’s really trying to do here is bait. I think he he just wants him to think this is wide open, force that ball down the field. And uh that’s kind of what Baker Mayfield does. Stops, chucks it deep, and it’s severely underthrown. And uh Forbes goes up and gets it. Easy interception for him. I mean, nothing too crazy. Um decent return. Decent return. Oh, if he didn’t stumble. If he didn’t stumble, did he get hurt? What happened there, dude? If he didn’t stumble, this might have been something. We need to be here. Boom. Turns up. Looks like he just hurt. Dude, I’m telling you right now, if he didn’t stumble, if he kept going, he had a one-on-one with the with the guard. He might have been gone. I’m not sure if he got injured there. He might have. And guess what, guys? Press man coverage bottom side. Guess where Teddy Bridgewwater wants to attack? He wants to attack Emanuel Forbes. At this point, you should probably just uh throw the game plan out the window. This guy’s got 435 speed. Yeah, let’s not do that. TZ Johnson, very quick receiver, very quick, very shifty, right? Actually, Emanuel Forbes gets beat early, right? He gets beat early. Boom. That is NFL open. I I’ll be honest with you, that’s NFL open. But Emanuel Forbes, great comeback speed. Boom. Balls out. I don’t know, man. Something about Emanuel Forbes I’m starting to really like. He’s what, 6’1, 180. could definitely put on some weight, but that 435 speed is next level. And his his ability, he his ball skills are really good. What does he have on the year? Does he he just has one inter he has three interceptions on the year? So, I didn’t even I need to pay more attention to this dude. Three inter or Yeah, three interceptions on the year. Nine PBUs. Damn. Okay. I love I love when storylines like this happen. Go from bust to go to a new team to star. I mean, listen, he was a first round pick for a reason. Gave up on on him too early. Maybe just wasn’t a good fit for the defense. But I’ll tell you what, as of right now, he is an unbelievable fit for the Rams. Now, we’re going to end the video here. I broke down his four PBUs. I broke down the interception. There’s still a lot more to break down. We will do that if you guys want. Comment down below P2. Let me know who or what you want me to break down. We did the offense of Matthew Stafford. That video was so fun. If you haven’t seen that video, go check it out. That video was amazing. Um, subscribe if you haven’t. And um, yeah, I’ll see you guys in the next one. Should be soon. face.

  1. A few years back, I’m marveled at the Patriots, not just because of Brady, but because they always seem to be able to find guys who played at a high level out of nowhere
Even with late round draft choices, and a salary cap that had to be stretched because of the stars on the team, they always seemed to find people when they needed them
The Rams are doing this now smart drafting has allowed them to save their salary cap to the point now or they’re up $96 million and they built a team without using a first round draft pick over the last five years
They reclaimed players like Nate landman and Emmanuel Forbes that nobody thought could play the game the way they’re playing them
They managed to get Puka Nacua in the fifth round.
And now we have 2/ first round picks 2/5 round picks and 2/6 round picks coming into the next draft
The way this team is being managed off the field is as impressive as it is on the field and the future is just going to get brighter especially since Matt Stafford Ford looks like he could play for another three or four years
And even if Matt decides to retire, the Rams have the position with salary and draft choices to acquire another quarterback, if that came down to it

  2. It's not 'could be', he IS. The Rams carved him, put the RIGHT stuff in his head, let him be who he is, gave him the tools to thrive and put him positions that favor his skill set. Washington screwed up BIG time and it's gonna STING hard when Emmanuel is wearing that ring and is also a BIG reason the Rams get it. He'll also be getting a contract extension after this season.

  3. I think what has really helped Forbes development that most people haven’t mentioned is on top of the coaching staff was them challenging him to cover Davante Adams in training camp. That was when you saw the growth that led to him earning the starting nod next to akhello Witherspoon to start the season. They played really well together. I think when your a young guy being challenged to guard what most ppl will call one of the elite route runners to ever play the game and you win a couple of reps that just changes your level of confidence. You really feel if i can cover him I can cover anyone. He had a very good camp and a lot of the reports were he was the main guy on Adams. What’s that old phrase. “Iron sharpens iron.” Thats what I think added to his development in what your seeing now. We have a great defense, an absolute phenomenal DB coach amd and a great culture here for development you mix in all 3 and you can see why Forbes has turned the corner the way he has. He looks amazing out there now and it’s because he’s finally got his confidence which has led to him finding his swagger. You mix in his skillset with that defensive front and it allows him to play more aggressive and loose within the structure of the defense. He’s looking like you said the guy the commanders thought they were drafting. I’ll stand on it the rams signing Adams was not only great for our offense but great for our corners because they have to guard him in practice. This is the best DB work I’ve seen from this rams team. Even better then the 2020 defense imo. Really hope they can keep ascending and play their best ball when it matters the most

  4. The thing is, everyone's talking about The Landshark. They think Forbes is the weak link of the two. I never thought the Rams Corners would be a strength, but here we are.

Edit: Proof he is being targeted a lot: He has 13 Pass deflections on the year! Lake has 10 for 2nd most on the team. So not only is he getting targeted a lot, he is stopping the ball from getting to the reciever a lot as well! Williams is underrated as well on this team. This whole secondary has played better than expected(except for McCollough, who has done very little after surprising his rookie year.)

  5. The truth about Forbes: The guy has shutdown corner potential for sure. BUT he did have a horrible start to the season, almost similar to Tre White when he was with the Rams. He improved since then, but I'll wait until the end of the season to call this guy a star.

  6. It's one game against a TB team without good receivers like Mike Evans. I look at games against Seattle and Niners and his performance is not the same. SF is a lot of short passes with YAC and his weakness in tackling showed up on film and in PFF grade (22). Against Seattle, JSN is elite and would give anyone trouble. He did average, nothing that will say wow, this guy played like a superstar. JSN did his thing and still looked superhuman against the Rams secondary.

NFL is about matchups. Rams secondary is matched up well against TB and Carolina coming up which doesn't have a passing game nor elite physical receivers. Will see on 12/14 and 12/18 how Forbes and the secondary hold up.
