  1. Mike Tyson goes to Switzerland, pulls up to a playground, absolutely hospitalizes a kid

  2. I’m pretty sure the outfielder caught it. You can hear a ball land in a glove, followed immediately by people cheering. The pitcher makes an “out signal” right at Plouffe, as he’s walking back down the first baseline, which is what people do after a pop out. He even motioned to the fielder as if to say, “nice catch” Still an awesome video.

  3. I don’t know where people stand on Plouffe but I quite like his media commentary for the most part.

  4. Imagine if he’d somehow timed it wrong and shot a line drive up the middle. He wouldn’t because he’s a big leaguer, but still. Just imagine.

  5. Oh snap!
That’s the baseball grounds at the Imperial Palace in Kyoto. I play there on the weekends.
He probably was just walking around (lots of tourists) and asked for an AB.
The balls are semi-hard rubber. They don’t travel as far.

  6. We need to be careful any time we use the words “Japan” and “nuke” in the same sentence

  7. Watched him play in a HS playoff game. Got the big hit and then closed out the game. You knew he was going to be a big leaguer.

  8. I heard a story about peak Barry Bonds doing this in San Francisco if he saw random high school teams doing batting practice.

    Pulls the car over.

    Walks up.

    Takes a hack.

    Launches a nuke.

    Leaves

  9. In cooler news, Trevor Plouffe of the Forgotten Rottens in the Jomboy Warehouse Games just hit his first homerun in Blitzball 7. Its his first homer since Blitzball battle 4!

It doesn’t matter though, Jack Doyle and Zo of We Got Ice is winning it all again this year!

  10. Did you have to use the word “nuke” when describing something an American did in Japan?
