Awful Announcing Readers Rate the NFL Broadcasters

I mostly agree but I’m not an Ian Eagle fan.
Happy Thanksgiving, Steeler Nation!
If feel bad for Spero Dedes. That guy is a solid very good announcer, but CBS always give him the worst game of the week.
Kevin Harlan is one of the best broadcasters of all time.
Kenny Albert is very good with Jonathan Vilma. I don’t mind it all when I watch these guys calling a game.
This is pretty close to where I’d rank them. Except I’d have Albert/Vilma dead last. Vilma is atrocious.
These dudes gave chris collingsfuck An A?
I’d rather have my god damn ears pecked off by a raven than listen to him speak!
Al Michaels is the only decent announcer on the list. Some really horrible announcing teams currently working.
I think JJ is decent but hes still got a little bit to go. Too much awkwardness but thats mostly a nitpick.
Mr. Broadcaster Commentary
Joe Davis is the best in the biz right now IMO.
Some of his calls (especially playoffs baseball) give me chills
I miss Howard Coselle, Frank Gifford and Don Meredith.
Jesus Christ the ads on that site are cancer
Tom Brady is too high.
Who are all these readers who keep rating Chris Collinsworth positively, let alone an A? He never knows the rules, his remarks are canned, and he is just so smarmy.
I’m a huge fan of the Eagle/Watt combo. The amount of self-deprecation and humility shown by a first ballot hall of famer is really refreshing. They make me laugh with subtle jabs multiple times each game (and it goes both ways, taking the darts in stride and with good nature). Hope they keep them together.
Edit: I will add that I was ambivalent about Eagle until this pairing came along.
As a fan who usually doesn’t get bothered by announcers… Tony Romo an exception, he’s awful.
I’ve actually trained myself to mostly just drain out the announcers, i’ll be watching a game with friends and they’ll talk about what the announcer said. I usually say I don’t know I wasn’t listening.
I cannot stand Ian Eagle just for how lukewarm he is. He doesn’t appear to have any opinions about anything subjective in the game, never disagrees or agrees with referee rulings, just says “they didn’t see it that way” in regards to bad calls. And honestly I find his enthusiasm to not be genuine. I think his son is a little bit better, but they’re remarkably similar.
