The Toronto Raptors FOOLED EVERYONE…

The Toronto Raptors do it again. Nine wins in a row. I don’t know about all of you, but I’m feeling something special brewing in Toronto. It was Brandon Ingram. Brandon Ingram is that guy. Game winner over Pascal Seakum. Only fitting that it comes against Pascal Seakum. You could call it a changing of the guard moment. It’s funny while I was watching this, I got flashbacks to that moment when Kawhai stole the ball from Demar De Rozan many years back in that game against the Spurs. And then you fast forward to this, Brandon Ingram hits the game winner against Seakum as BI is the new man in town. That whole sequence with Purtole blocking Pasco Seakum and then Darko not calling a timeout quickly getting the ball to BI knowing it was BI time and then BI cashing in and then Scotty Barnes’s reaction after BI hit it was just priceless. This team is special. They keep winning. They keep finding different ways to get it done. And Brandon Ingram, he has really resurrected his career in Toronto. This is a guy that was a mere afterthought really in New Orleans. He had the whole injury narrative that overshadowed his true talent. Comes to Toronto and right now he is the talk of the town. Ingram, another solid game. He and Barnes combining for 50 of the Raptors, 97 points. The Raptors, this is their longest win streak since they won a team record 15 straight in 2019 2020. They have won 13 of their last 14 games. They’re sitting pretty in second in the Eastern Conference, just a game and a half back of the number one seed. At the time, many people thought it was risky, desperate even to make such an acquisition as the Raptors. They were taking a chance on a guy who had a long injury history. And then they double down on the move by giving Ingram that 3year 120 million contract extension. But right now, you’re looking at it in hindsight. It looks like business well done because Ingram, he has been the guy in Toronto. He’s had his fingerprints all over these last couple of wins. He’s been this team’s go-to guy late in games. He’s been the closer. You’re seeing it. He’s happy to be here and I think that’s the most important part. It’s like obviously the Raptors, you know, they’ve had some great players over the years. I would say Ingram is the best player the Raptors have had since Kawhi Leonard, but the difference there, Kawhi, it was just a one-year thing. Ingram, you know, he’s here like, you know, he wants to be here and he’s in it for the long haul and he’s just been enjoying the moment with his teammates and winning. And I’ve always been a fan of BI. This is actually what I said about Brandon Ingram in 2021. I’m jealous of the Pelicans for having Brandon Ingram because I I knew the type of talent he was. And I remember watching that Pelicans game many years ago and thinking to myself, the Raptors need a guy like this. They need a guy who can go to work, get buckets at will, and be that true go-to guy. And we know when Brandon Ingram plays to his standard, when he is not injury riddled, he looks like some of the best of them. You get shades of KD. You get just a guy who looks like a legitimate superstar. And he’s really just been comfortable. He’s confident. and the way that he’s just been finding his offense, shooting the basketball, how he’s feeling himself in this situation, it’s a good sign. And there’s no surprise that the Raptors are starting to win with Brandon Ingram now leading the charge. Think about the traditional trading card cycle. You buy a box, rip open the packs, pull the few valuable cards, then send them off for grading. weeks later, you finally get them back, and only then can you sell them to the shop or online, buy another box, and start the process all over again. Arena Club has flipped that entire cycle on its head. What used to take weeks now happens in minutes, all on their digital platform. They’ve taken the long grind of physical card trading, and they’ve turned it into instant digital gratification. With slap hacks, you can rip a wide range of packs starting at just $25. Every pack has grails that are at least 20 times the price of the pack. And right now, I’m going to open a ruby slap pack. I got Anthony Edwards last time. Let’s see what I get this time. Here we go. Oh yeah, that’s what I’m talking about, baby. Shay Gilgis Alexander. How about that? I love it. What a grab here with the slap pack. Shay Gilg Alexander. I mean, the Thunder, they’re dominating the NBA right now. And Shay Gil’s Alexander reigning NBA MVP. That’s a solid get right there. I’ll decide later. Right now, I got a offer from Arena Club for 162. I’ll decide later for that. That was awesome. What a great experience. That literally just brought me back to my youth. Really, this is like the future of trading cards right here that just combined all of those great childhood vibes that I had as a kid with trading cards just with the technology version. Now, that was a blast. As you can see, I now have Anthony Edwards and Shay Gilas Alexander in my showroom. Guys, you want to get in on this Arena Club, they got you covered right now. Thank you to them for sponsoring today’s video. And look, it wasn’t a pretty win. The Raptors, they shot five of 25 from three, 38.9% overall. They scored just 97 points. This is a team that’s been scoring at a rapid pace. But you got to win ugly games like this along the way. And I know people are going to look at the winning streak and say, “Look at the teams they’ve beaten. They haven’t been tested. They’ve taken on some bad teams, teams missing players.” But look, I’ll take this. It’s been a rocky last couple of years. And if you are going to be a good team in the NBA, you got to beat up on the bad teams and you’re going to have to find ways to win these games when it’s not your night and you are struggling to shoot the three. And the other team that you were a heavy favorite against does have a chance to win. And I think that’s the biggest takeaway with this Raptors team is it hasn’t all been pretty, but they are winning these games. 4-0 in the NBA Cup, by the way. They are going to host that NBA Cup knockout round game. And by winning so often and so early, the Raptors, they are figuring out how to win in different ways to finish the job. So, you know, you collect at this. Yeah, they just beat up on an injury riddle Pacers team that dropped to 16. But the Raptors, they lost these games in the past where they weren’t able to get off to a hot start or when they did get down in a game, they weren’t able to come back. So, I think this is all positive development. And I think this is all a part of the leap that this team has now taken that they are a team that knows how to win in different ways and they are taking care of business. I keep saying that but it’s true and they do now have a guy who you trust having the ball in his hands late in games that he’s going to make the right decision and he’s going to come away with a clutch bucket. Case in point in this one. I don’t want to get too ahead of myself, but I do feel like something special is happening right now. Just the vibe, how this team is coming together. I mean, we all know what happened the last time the Raptors took a chance on an injury-prone star. It it ended pretty well. Not going to go as far as saying it’s going to end that way this time around, but you’re looking at it pretty a lot of crazy similarities, right? And you do have a guy who was bidden off by the league, now all of a sudden finding his place on a Raptors team that has embraced him and they are deferring to him as their main number one option. And and I love how, you know, Scotty’s even complimented Brandon Ingram. Like you look at Barnes in this game, he was brilliant. We know how well he has been defensively. But you look at this Raptors team, they’re getting it done on both ends. And they have the longest win streak now in the East. Second longest behind OKC. Raptors seventh in offensive rating, fourth in defensive rating, which is just astonishing, right? Considering this team was just a a train wreck defensively to begin the season, the fact that they are fourth, it just speaks volumes to the type of turnaround they have had. Fifth in net rating. Again, it is remarkable. This team is growing in confidence. They’re winning. They have a great chance to make it 10 wins in a row, and they are fueled by Brandon Ingram, who has been playing like an all-star. And I did predict before the start of the season that he would be an all-star. Let me know your thoughts, guys. 1. This is all bi needed . A team that believed in him and lets him play his game . Scottie needed a guy like him and he needed a guy like scottie . Theyre both 2 of the most unselfish all star caliber players players ive seen in a while

  2. You can see Scotty Barnes signaling to Darko to not call a TO at 0:13 with him waving his arms & jumping so that's some great situational awareness on his part. Also from BI's press conference he knew Siakim was in foul trouble & perhaps Barnes knew that too.
