EDMONTON OILERS MAJOR GOALIE TRADE HAPPENING? | Tristan Jarry Pittsburgh Penguins NHL Trade Rumors
Hey friends, this is Dolly TV. Glad to have you aboard on a Thursday night edition, a pre edition, which should be an electric Friday night if all goes according to plan on Black Friday for yours truly. But what we begin with is obviously it was autograph day at West Edmonton Mall. And my goodness, it looked like an electric time. I’ll say my brother, he called me after getting over there late tonight and he sounds like he had an absolute ball of a time and I cannot wait to see, of course, how all the signatures turned out for him as we get geared up to a big month of December when I get a chance to get up to Red Deer in advance of oh that big day on December 25th, Christmas Day. So friends, what we know tonight is the Oilers actively this week looking to upgrade the goalending, but also other parts of the roster and that may very well include the defense and the heavy hockey network. Michael over there at Oilers Live had an opportunity to get something put out into the universe here tonight. And that is what we’re talking about in tonight’s video is the potential Tristan Jarry trade that’s popped up over the past 48 hours. While Michael has a source that has appeared to get us the advanced lead on the Oilers potential next move, which includes Tristan Jarry and an interesting defenseman that we could very well use. Now, what I’ll say on the tradition of this is the time in the video where I ask you to subscribe to Dolly TV, I will again ask you to do that here tonight as uh yeah, definitely consider hitting that subscribe button here on Dolly TV. Would love to have you. Obviously, this is a good place for Oilers News. At least I believe that. And what I’ll also tell you is we’re advancing towards 20,000 subscribers. So, we’d love to have you aboard as part of that. Now, here we go. The tweet from Michael moments ago here. It’s taken me some time to get this video together as well. I’ll mind you for the delay. Uh just kind of tweaking some stuff that Michael since updated in the replies to the Edmonton Oilers, Tristan Jarry and Parker Witherspoon. That’s the defense. and I mentioned off the top of the video, a very young uh in terms of the Oilers defense, 28 years old and a very interesting guy to be adding into the mix. Now, going back to the Pittsburgh Penguins, this is where I had to go for clarification before posting. That would be Steuart Skinner, Matias Yanmark, and Pix, not Calvin Pickard. This was the initial run of this video included Calvin Pickard. No, this has been updated to say picks as in draft picks, which makes a little bit more sense when it comes to the whole breakdown of this trade. Parker Witherspoon coming in to replace who on this defense? Well, that would be Brett Kulak with Noo coming back. So, uh yeah, this is where it is going as uh this should be happening soon according to Michael over there at the Heavy Hockey Network. And I will tell you if you’re saying BS, this is Dolly TV clickbait garbage. I’m done. Stop a moment. Please take a second. This was a pivotal turning point in Oilers history when the Heavy Hockey Network put out a very detailed update on the future of Jay Woodcraft about this time two years ago, which the next day Jay Woodcraft was let go. So, uh, Heavy Hockey Network, Michael and the boys over there have a very good track record of getting the big things right. And I will tell you from everything I understand, this one’s very, very true to the course of what’s coming. So stay tuned. Of course, things could always change. It’s pro sports and deals get backed out at the last second all the time. But this is this I’ve been told I can trust this. I can get going with this. And of course, a big credit to Michael for coming up with some huge news on a Thursday night. Tristan Jarry, what do we know about him? Well, I will tell you this right now. 6’4 2011 former Edmonton Oil Kings goalender 2013 round two 44th overall by the Penguins. He’s spent all his career years in Pittsburgh and despite what everybody would tell you, the environment for an Edmonton Oilers goender is absolutely awful out there right now. Uh Stew and picks haven’t helped, but the the rest of the team have hurt them substantially. 6-2 record for Tristan Jarry this year. 253 goals against average and a 914 save percentage. I will tell you everybody on the planet will find a reason why any Oilers goender they acquire will be the worst goalender yet and that’s with Bennington. I’m guaranteeing that will be with Jarry as well if this deal goes through. I will tell you nothing possibly can be worse than Stewan picks right now because they are bottom of the barrel. Despite not being the worst goalies in the NHL, I do not believe Steuart Skinner is an AHL backup at best. Again, everybody will yell that in my comments section, but there is a goalender. There is an NHL starting caliber goalender in Steuart Skinner. There is a serviceable backup in Calvin Pickard, but the Oilers have no interest as a team in achieving that for their goalenders at this moment. So, somebody new is going to have to come in and fill those shoes, whether it be Jarry, Bennington, or anyone. But like I’m saying, Michael’s got the inside track, so it appears. So, I’m going to lean towards we have to talk about Tristan Jarry here on a night before bed as we get going with a career year. Well, close to for Tristan Jarry through eight starts in 2526. And you know, it’s been a couple of down years since the peak year there. 34 wins back in 21-22 for Jarry, but a guy who’s got an NHL goalender in there somewhere. So, uh, yeah, that’s, uh, that’s where he’s been a very serviceable NHL goalender for the bulk of his career. Yeah, a couple a couple of years where maybe the numbers aren’t the greatest, but look at what we got now. And I can tell you, like I said, anything’s better than what we got. And I like our guys we got because Stea and obviously legacy goalender for the Oilers at this point. as well while you look at picks who’s been nothing but the guy that you want on your team backing up your starter every single night. Parker Witherspoon, what do we know about him? Two goals, six points, careerhigh in points, tied only 22 games into the season, 6’1, 190 lbs, playing a careerhigh in ice time, a fourthround draft pick by the New York Islanders back in 2015. Like I said, 28 years old. So keep that in mind as well there. Uh kind of getting younger on the blue line. Not necessarily a bad idea here for the Edmonton Oilers. So we move forward to his career stats. Like I said, tying a careerhigh eight points is a careerhigh, but you’re buying on an upswing here where Witherspoon would be expected to play a few less minutes and you know just steady out an Oilers defense that’s kind of all over the place. Brett Kulak obviously as Michael mentioned in the starting part of this video in his post there would be moved out. So there is a spot right there and if you go back to kind of Parker Witherspoon there leftand shot it all adds up makes too much sense and uh obviously taking a guy who’s chewed up big minutes to start the year into a lower role who’s capable of playing that lower role and still producing. I like the idea here from the Oilers. I like the idea overall and we’ll see how that translates here. So the cap situation as it plays out friends remember there’s some picks being swapped as well. Tristan Jarry 5.375 million Parker Witherspoon 1 million fully buriable cap hit if things go south. Skinner uh Pickards on this graphic just ignore that. Sorry, I didn’t have time to redo my graphics here tonight, but uh just ignore like that. Didn’t happen. There is We’ll uh Yeah, I can’t get it going. But sorry, this graphics from originally when it uh when I believed it was Pickered. That’s my bad. Either way, it’s about $4 million in cap space going back towards the Pittsburgh Penguins, right? So 4 million. You’re moving Kulak. Yeah, the math starts adding up here right quick. I’m going to get rid of that graphic right now because I don’t want to look at it. I goofed that up earlier and now you’re seeing it. So, like I said, the Oilers will have to move Brett Kulak as Michael mentioned in the original post to make this deal work. That’s kind of the idea. I think the way Michael has it written in the post is should be happening soon is the Kulak thing and then obviously the Jar deal and Witherspoon deal would open up for the Oilers immediately after. So, we’ll stay tuned and see what happens here, friends. But a blockbuster uh of of a mention here from Michael on this Thursday night as the Oilers very well looking to shake up their goalending and defense. We’ve known that all week long and what comes of it from here is going to be very exciting to see and I’m looking forward to seeing. Like I said, correct me if I’m wrong, the Oilers cannot possibly get worse goalending and defense than they already have this season. I know where the standings say we are. I know what the situation looks like. I know what the eye test and the fancy number. I don’t care. It has been a brutal year so far. The Oilers are lucky to be where they are and obviously you get any substantially better goalending and this team takes right off to the moon like they should have been from the start of the year. So stay tuned, see what happens here, friends. Again, a huge credit to the Heavy Hockey Network for this one. Like I said, they have a track record specifically in the month of November when it comes to big stuff of getting things right. And I will tell you, this is the big possibility here for uh the Oilers to do what they need to do and take care of business. Obviously, keeping Pickard is huge. My apologies on the graphic. I did not realize at the time of this video that I had that graphic still pre-loaded. That’s we’ll figure it out. And as well, you look at the deal through and through one more time. Jarry Witherspoon for Skinner Yanmark and picks draft picks that is plus a move to get rid of Brett Kulak that makes things very very interesting and friends we’ll stay tuned to see what happens again huge shout out to the heavy hockey network and you got to go get over there and subscribe uh they they are doing a great show over there and if you have time here as well tonight consider hitting that subscribe button on Dolly TV but for right now friends I am up on as always out of here we’ll see you tomorrow for what should be a very special edition to Dolly TV. Specifically, if all this happens in the next 24 hours, we could have a real light you up evening here on a Friday night on Dolly TV. So stay tuned, friends. We’ll see what happens.

Not a bad idea. 🤔
Alright, make it so. Stu and Picks deserve a change of scenery, and we just need to shake things up. Prove that the problem was the defense all along.
I’m a fan of both teams 💀
I’d rather see skinner on Pittsburgh, the fans will treat him better there and Jarry is probably a better fit for Edmonton between him and skinner.
Oilers will have to give up more then just Stu for Jarry…
🎉goalie wanted in Edmonton trash 🗑 Stuuuu
May not happen. As EDM has some concerns with his injuries . According to Elliot friedman oilers want more healthy goalie than one that has injuries. That would rules out upl too.
I like this trade. We haven’t had a Jarry on the team since Jarry Kurry days and that’s a good omen.
Will binington be available for a trade soon ?
I’ll believe it when I see it.
Different day different band aid. 🙄
The cat has opinions!
I'm not sure.
I thougght the screenshot said both Skinner +Pickard…..😂 that would be shocking
Oilers don't need to free up cap space for Nuge coming back, he was only on IR, not LTIR.
not buying Jarry, worst of the names Saros, Binnington, Jarry. Makes absolutely no sense. Injuries and performance are not good.
An apologetic, contrite, humble Stu Skinner doesn't cut it for me. Should have been traded 2 years ago
I think Chilly Con (man) Carney jinxed the Oilers
Nice. Skinner being traded for…………. a more expensive Skinner. What could go wrong?
Skinner isn't the issue
As a long time Penguins fan, the last thing you guys want is Tristam Jarry!!! If the Oilers make this exact trade, they'll be getting fleeced! Man, I wouldn't wish Jarry on anybody!!!!!!! Skinner is worth 10 of him.
Score the first goal. Then judge the team. The Oilers scored first in just 5 of the 6 Cup Final games in 2025. Not surprisingly, they lost. And score the first goal often!
So if the Oilers get a new goalie, this will somehow make Mcd/Drai have defense skills? Ok, you're the expert I guess.
We should move Darnell Nurse – that's who we should move. And we should keep Skinner, and move Pickard down to the minors. People 'round here have painfully short memories. Skinner spent 5 years in the minors. The year we jettisoned Smith and Koskinen who did we bring into be the #1? Big hint – it wasn't Skinner! Skinner was pegged as the BACKUP! And that's what he is. The guy who signed the FIVE YEAR deal to play here was Jack SIEVE Campbell, and he lasted what – 6 weeks as our #1 goalie? Then by default it went to Skinner. Who mentored him? Wasn't Jack – he was too busy in the booze trying to figure out what went wrong with his game while he was counting his money. I think , for what he is, Skinner has far exceeded what he should of done by now. He should be playing 30 games a year, he should be learning from a goalie coach and a vet goalie in front of him. That's the sad part in all this. Stu got a bum deal here. With no experience he was expected to be Stanley Cup Winning goalie. He almost did it two years ago. And IMO that was our only legit shot at the Cup. We stood no chance last year and this year we won't be in the playoffs, or if we are we won't get out of the first round, regardless of who are starting goalie is.
so why would pitts trade him>? if such a good record?
I was hoping Demko would be an OIL cage keeper.
