I’ve Noticed Something DIFFERENT About The New York Knicks
So, the Knicks did something super different last night. They ended up putting out deuce and heart despite Mitch being healthy. No OG, obviously. I was actually calling for this in my last video, saying that there’s no reason Cat and Mitch should be playing next to each other if Mitch is going to barely be playing, right? Not playing back to backs. Like, they might as well just put Mitch in when Cat’s off. And that’s what they did. And Cat’s just way better in my opinion when Mitch is off of the floor. I think Cat’s just better at the five. So in Hart is just going to fake a shot and go to the pass. The most Josh Sharp thing I’ve ever seen is let me pass up an open corner three, right? This the open corner three. Defender flies by because any other player would have shot that and it throws it to Cat and it cuts and then throws down a dunk and nipples a little bit late. Josh Hart getting up there. Cat getting to that right hook. Nice shot by Cat. And then it’s gonna cut. And then on this play, Brunson to Hart in the corner. The entire defense is drawn. What is Cat doing? You guys, did you guys look at Cat’s hands? All right. And Hart’s going to let this one fly. She puts it on the floor. Get the rhythm. And then the bench is celebrating it. How about this pass by Tyler Kak, man, just to find Male who goes up and under for that reverse. Male be doing that all the time. Jaylen Brunson get to that strong hand. Just wait room right there. I think Brunson finished with 31. And then Josh Hart off the dribble, pull up three. Man, that’s a tough looking shot by Josh Hart. Hart’s been playing so well this year, man, of late. And then Brunson just that typical step back baby jumper over LaMelo. Jordan Clarkson a little euro step action. Okay, I see you Clarkson. Man, this this do reminds me of J.R. Smith. Like we haven’t had a bench scorer since since J.R. Smith like this. Dude is just an absolute walking bucket. Cat, good job getting position. See, that’s why I like Cat at the five as well is cuz how do you really defend that, right? Because there’s just always going to be a mismatch. No five can guard Cat besides maybe like WBY. And Cat just has position. His ball is just lofted up and over and Cat catches it. goes up with it. And man, the Knicks are up big, too. 11289. Obviously, it’s the cup, so you got to put up as much points as possible. But Jaylen Brunson just this point is just showing off. I mean, go to that between the leg dribble move to his strong hand and then he’s going to put the ball down. He’s trying to get the defender to reach in so he can get to the free throw line. He doesn’t reach in, so he swoops it forward. And then this is a good shot either way. So Brunson’s perfected this move. I don’t think I’ve I mean, I’m not going to say I’ve never seen guys do this. Feel like D. Wade kind of did something similar, but it’s like guys, I don’t think anyone ever perfected the shot like Brunson where it’s just just this one quick fluid move, right? Boom. It’s just so difficult to defend. And he’s got that strength and size, too. That’s why Brunson’s so tough to guard is because if you put someone smaller on him, he’s too strong. If you put someone bigger than him, he’s too quick. He’s too decisive, right? So, there’s just no one that can guard Jaylen Brunson on this planet right now. I mean, this is unbelievable move. And then how about Michaela getting into the passing line. LaMelo lazy pass and doesn’t contest. I mean this is kind of exactly why LaMelo’s on the trade block is plays like this like just throws it up the canipple. Michaela reads it and then did not contest. I mean that’s just man that a timeout immediately. Yeah. A very good timeout. It’s just not like come on. You’re the leader of a team. You just got to be better than that. But speaking of just getting to that that baby fall away jumper. Speaking of perfecting shots. I mean I love when male just has this followway jumper. I mean, yeah, mid-range is maybe not the best in basketball, but points are points. Male is just so good at that. I don’t think anyone does it better. And then just, oh my goodness, just a rookie. It’s just a vent on a rookie. What happened here is he he was just respecting the quickness of Brunson and he stopped on a dime. And then he just did a step back jumper. I mean, yeah, just that’s just the thing about Brunson. He’s too quick or he’s too strong or both for Canipple. And then, yeah, just babying LaMelo ball. I mean, this is just pure pure baby. Look at this. Look at this contest. Brunson. First of all, LaMelo gives up baseline, which you never want to do. And then he boxes him out. This is to try to get a foul and to get the M1. It’s a good job right there. Should have been an M1 if I’m being completely honest with you. But yeah, Josh Hart spinning jumper. Boom. Hart’s added that to his repertoire. And now I’m looking at Tyler Kick behind the back dribble followway baby jumper. Oh my goodness. See, Tyler Kick is a bucket. I feel like Tyler Kick when he plays always does something good. Look at this. I mean, that is that is a nice looking move by Kick. So the Knicks did pick up a 129 to 101 victory over the Hornets. They blew him out. Brunson had 303. My bad, not 31. Cat 10 boards, heart, seven assist. Our next game is Friday at 7:30 against the Bucks. Correct me if I’m wrong. I think that’s a Cup game. Uh the Bucks did beat us last time we played them 121 to 111. We had a just a disastrous second half. Um trying to think of that game. It was October 28th. It was feels like forever ago. Yeah, that that’s going to be a game where it’s just kind of like payback and Giannis game. I mean, at this point, every time we play the Bucks, all I can think about is Giannis in orange and blue. Man, that would be a dream come true. Ryman accidentally Chris move. But yeah, I mean the Knicks on the season. Obviously, they’re 11 and six, which is about where they were at last season at this point. There’s been a lot of good about the Knicks. There’s been more bad though. The thing with the Knicks is they haven’t played good defense. They give up a ton of open threes, and whenever they face a good team, a lot of the issues start to glare. But I do like the way the Knicks are playing right now. And sure, it’s against bad trash teams. But I do think that the Knicks are starting to make changes. Well, I know they’re starting to make changes cuz they went with, of course, Deuce and Hart in the starting five, even though Mitch was fully healthy. So, they’re trying to change things up. Once OG comes back, we’ll kind of see what they run. Um, but the Knicks are just they’re starting to look like an actual offense as well. Is Yeah, the defense has been bad, but the offense the ball hasn’t been moving as much as you’d like. It’s been a lot of selfishness. And I think lately guys are starting to play more with each other. And that might just be a case of just having reps and having chemistry. And it’s also a new offense with Mike Brown. It’s a new scheme and it it’s just going to take time. Like Rome wasn’t built overnight obviously and where the Knicks are at, I’m really not mad at all. Like a lot of people are they’re in the comments saying, “Oh, like the Knicks can’t beat good team.” It’s like, man, it’s it’s freaking 17 games into the season, there’s 82 games and then the playoffs, right? The Knicks last year there was a lot of panic early on with Cat that trade male trade and then the Knicks went to a game six of the Eastern Conference Finals. And again, not exactly what the Knicks are trying to do. I mean, they’re trying to get to the finals, but that was definitely it was a good season, right? It I’m going to be honest, it was a good season. They made the changes they had to. They brought in a new coach. They brought in Clarkson. Yavvisale. Now they’re starting to play the bench more. And obviously it’s a blowout, but um you love to see Yavis get 12 minutes. Mitch played 17 minutes. Carson 14 minutes. Kick played 15 minutes and had seven points and three of four from the field and three assists. So, it just collectively speaking, guys were able to step up. And the thing about the Knicks is they just they haven’t used the bench as much as you’d like. And like we know the starting five can run with anyone. Like I think we can all agree that the Knicks starting five, like the Knicks best five players, Cat, Male, Brunson, OG, and Mitch. Or maybe if you want to go with heart, I mean, however you guys want to do that. But like the Knicks five, which whichever one they put out there, can run with anyone. But it’s the bench that has kind of been holding this team back. And now all of a sudden with again, you know, let’s say Mitch comes off the bench. So now you got Mitch Yasale, Clarkson, Kolic, Diwara I’d like to see play them more than just two minutes, especially in a blowout. It’s kind of inexcusable. like these guys should be playing and just keep legs fresh and let’s see what they can do because the Knicks they’ve got talent and whenever we watch the preseason or like the summer league it’s like we know these guys can hoop but it’s just they got to gain the the trust of the coaching staff and from what I have seen in these games I mean I just sometimes I feel like they’re asking too much out of Cat and Brunson and sometimes like another guy is going to have to step up and makes make something happen like Brunson 33 points awesome cat 19 and 10 kind of a quiet game for Cat if I’m being honest with you but like Not like cat really had to do that much. It’s the Hornets. But what I’m looking forward to is just seeing the Bucks game. Are the Bucks a championship contender? I mean, uh I I mean any team with the honest, I guess, is a contender. I mean, the Bucks are okay. I mean, what what’s the Bucks record? I don’t even know, bro. The Bucks are the Bucks are eight and 11. Okay, so I think that kind of answers that. I mean, h it’s early, but I I don’t think the Bucks are a championship contender, but they do have Giannis and they do have Miles Turner, so that’s going to be a tough tough task to be able to stop that. And Cat is going to have Turner on him. Honestly, the Bucks probably won’t even put Turner on on Cat. They might just put a wing on him. So, but yeah, man. I mean, I don’t know, bro. I just I want to see the Knicks just be consistent cuz like the only time the Knicks have been consistent this year is they had a a winning streak going, which was from it was what, November second to I think November 11th. They beat the Bulls, Wizards. Yeah. I mean, the Knicks beat the Bulls, Wizards, Wolves, Nets, and Grizzlies from November 2nd to November 11th, and that was like the only time they’ve been consistent. And then after that, it’s just been win one, lose one, win one, lose one, right? So, I hope the Knicks can get hot here, and they have a good chance. I mean, the Raptors have played some high level basketball, but they’ve got the Bucks, Raptors, Celtics, Hornets, Jazz, Magic, Pacers. I mean, yeah, this is the time for the Knicks to get hot. And it’s not even about necessarily the wins and the losses. It’s about just how the tape looks and how this team is playing. Cuz the Knicks can lose a game, but it could still be a good game, right? Like in the regular season, obviously, no loss in the playoffs is a good game, but like the Knicks can can do everything right and just the Bucks had it that night or the the Pacers had it that night, right? But it’s like some of these losses have just been pretty embarrassing. Giving up open threes, not moving the ball, turning it over, being careless, right? Like a lot, more often than not, the Knicks have done that this season. And to me, that’s uh a sign of coaching if I’m being honest. And Mike Brown was brought in to replace Tibs and that’s a lot of pressure because the Knicks just got to their first conference finals since 2000, right? So, I’m not expecting Mike Brown to be perfect, but at least he’s making changes. And even if it’s the Hornets or the Nets, like changes are changes. And I think they’re going to start the to show moving forward. I think D should start. Dude should continue to start. I even Hart, like Hart has his flaws, but Hart just he just is such a good passer, rebounder, and he could switch everything. He hustles. He’s got tenacity. And then Deuce, of course, best point of attack defender on the team. Can space the floor, an improved mid-range shooter, improved finisher at the rim. I mean, Deuce and Hart are bench guys to me, but they’re they’re they look better with them out there, so you might as well start them to that point. Yeah. Until OG comes back, I’m definitely rocking with Deuce, Heart, Cat, Brunson, and Mikuel.

Kat plays better without Mitch because more spacing and I like how he and Yabu can switch, now I see why Leon rose got him
This is far from a Championship level team.
Duece?
There's nothing different about this team. They were supposed to beat the Charlotte Hornets, they're 4-13!!!
Beware this is not a true knicks fan. He advocated for ben simmons being on the team.
