Yes, the offense couldn’t get it together much of the time. But Spags’s failure to adapt, continuing man coverage when our corners were getting burned, lost us the game and season. The Cowboys’ scheme beat it easily, and fair play to Dak. But a SHAMEFUL coaching performance with the season on the line. We deserve a long offseason to think about what it takes to win.

  1. these dbs get bullied by bigger receivers and there’s nothing we can do about it. Cincy, Dallas, and Brown on the Eagles have just cooked our Dbs

  2. Honestly, not really. We got terrible flags every offensive and defensive drive. McDuffie was getting flagged just for breathing

  3. I dont like to blame the referees ever but seriously when the corner cant simply get their hand on the reciever to jam them without getting called for DPI what do you expect them to do

  4. This was a red screw job. Nothing more, nothing less. Every time we made a play they threw a flag.

  5. No way. The defense did well, but they threw phantom DPI flags over nothing. The game shouldn’t have been this close for sure, but don’t blame the defense.

  6. They had failures at each level. Same non existent pass rush, slow linebackers, terrible pass coverage. Just all the issues showed up at once against a good offense.

  7. I think that was Trent Mcduffie’s worst career game, ever. I’ve never seen him beat so many times on non-jump ball passes. Yeah there were a couple of bad calls in there but man. He was a constant liability out there. Something I can’t say I’ve seen before.

  8. Yeah that was a bad offense we just managed to make look like world beaters. Very unfortunate.

  9. We have no one other that maybe jones that creates pressure on the D-line, we have corners that get burnt by almost every good receiver, our linebackers can’t really cover good receiving TEs. Our offense can’t sustain a drive without shooting itself in the foot every other play they seem inept 3 out of 4 quarters, the receivers can’t consistently create space, Mahomes doesn’t seem to trust them on a lot of routes even when their open and he’s been overthrowing everyone this year, our run game has been atrocious save for the last game. I’ve hated every game this year watching how middling they’ve looked against better teams and worse teams, I’ve resigned to planning the offseason and how to fix this broken fucking team

  10. Multiple DPIs where our defender is holding on because the receiver is *very* clearly pushing off.

  11. I know it’s bad form to complain or blame refs for results. But mannn. Idk. I am a sore loser I guess bc Cowboys would run that stupid ten yard hitch and either get away with a push off or get arms tangled and be rewarded with a DPI. Every. single. time.

  12. It’s hard to defend the pass when the receivers are allowed to blatantly push off, then the corner grabs to try to not get shoved completely out of the play and a flag comes sailing in from 25 yards back. What the fuck do you want them to do?

This would be the rare time I’d take the fine if I were Reid and just say it. ” We can’t beat a talented Cowboys team and an obviously rigged officiating crew.” Make the headlines. With gambling involved, this isn’t just an NFL issue. There are criminal consequences.

  13. I honestly just think that Spags doesn’t have the guys anymore to make his defense work. Blitzing is great when it’s unexpected but we have absolutely zero from the front four right now.

  14. Spags didn’t have 3 DPIs, fall down on coverage twice for big plays, and not stay inside on a big run. The players did all that.

  15. Chamarri Conner should not be playing slot corner. He’s only good at safety. Most of their big plays came off of his blown coverage. I know we were missing Chris Roland-Wallace, but where TF is Nohl Williams?

  16. The plan was working when they locked down pickens. You can survive letting one player go off (Lamb) . But the league wants to keep cowboys playoff hopes alive

  17. TBH the officiating was the biggest factor today. Many of those absolute dogshit PI calls could have turned the game, as well as the hold on Simmons, among other calls.

  18. Yes the defense was terrible especially on third down where you knew we’d lose or get flagged every time.

But those were some of the softest or blatantly wrong PI calls I’ve ever seen.  Hand fighting initiated by lamb is somehow a flag on McDuffie?  A push off by Pickens is a flag on Watson?

  19. It was evident by the end of the game that the DBs were just going to get flagged for anything. This isn’t the “fuck Spags” game yall think it is.

  20. We lost by 3 points. Cowboys picked on arguably our best DB and he got cooked. We can’t stop a 3rd down conversion when we need 1 to save our asses.

Cowboys got some home cooking from the refs, even Steratore said on 2 of the calls that he would like to see those not called at all. Flags came late a majority of the time. There is no place like home.

To come back from this far back would definitely be historic lol.

  21. This game was a microsm of what this entire season has been, and shows what type of team we are. Show enough flashes to be excited, but ultimately not good enough and clutch enough to make the plays when they matter. Ans on top of all of that, the refs are doing everything they can to prove they aren’t on the payroll

  22. The dline has been a problem all year I wouldn’t put it on spags as much as never getting pressure with 4. End of the game defense was gassed

  23. Chris jones with only 3 sacks on the season doesn’t help. I don’t think they have very much talent on that side of the ball anymore.

  24. Ceedee and Pickens were pushing off and if our guys touched them it was a penalty. Can’t ever win games when every drive is extended by penalties

  25. We couldn’t stop the Cowboy Mule Train today or tomorrow. It was hard to watch. Kareem, once again, looked good and was under used. The just heave it play needs some refining, me thinks. When will Patrick let plays develope before taking off? When will we stuck to what is working? When will we run the football?

  26. Man, sometimes I can’t stand this sub. Only a few days ago, Spags was the GOAT DC.

It’s either “we’re the greatest team ever and no one is even worthy to sniff out shit” or “our team is dog shit and we need to nuke everyone into the sun.”

  27. Defense really struggling in road games. Would have been a 38 point game if the Cowboys didn’t kneel out the clock at the very end. Same problem we have seen all year with the Defense being unable to get off the field on 3rd and Long, especially in road games. Hard to win games when the other team is seemingly converting every big 3rd down on you.
