Bryce Young on Panthers’ Week 12 meeting with the San Francisco 49ers | Carolina Panthers

You had your big break last week. Just a lack of execution. Um, you know, couple plays you want to have back. Uh, couple stuff they could do better. Haven’t watched the film yet, but you go out there, live, it doesn’t feel great. Sucks. Um, going to be a sucky playing right back, but we got a short week. We got to turn the page. Uh, we got to, you know, we got to flush it quick. So, um, you know, not the outcome we wanted. Uh, but, uh, you know, we’re moving forward. Consistency is a game and then the next one. What do you guys need to do in order to be consistent? Uh yeah. Uh just execute. You know, there’s no dream plays. There’s no hurah speeches. Um got to do a better job executing. Um obviously myself, I got to take care of the ball. I got to do a better job of making plays go today. Didn’t do good enough. Um, so, you know, I I take all ownership in that. Um, and we have a locker room of guys that that do that. So, um, you know, we we just got to be better. Um, again, it’s not a there’s not some magical fix. It’s us buckling down and and playing good football. Um, didn’t get that done offense today. Um, again, it sucks, but it’s a quick week. Uh, we got to be able to flush it quick. Um, and, you know, on to next one. What did you see on that line? Yeah. Yeah. To me. Yeah. Again, um good play by DB. Can’t put the ball in peril like that, especially in a situation like that. Uh take full ownership. Uh that that’s on me. Have to do a better job making decisions. Um again, um it’s on me and uh we’ll we’ll wear it for this 24 and then we’ll we’ll turn the page. Do you have run pass options? Um, it’s football, so always can, you know, do what you have to do. Again, there’s it’s no one’s fault but mine. Um, that’s that’s part of position. Again, not not fun, but you know, it is what it is. Um, again, should have made a better decision with the ball. I I take ownership in that. execution again first and foremost starts with me have to do a better job of making things go um there are opportunities out there um I can do a better job of getting that and then again we all wear it um wasn’t a crazy some crazy difference in game plan coaches did a great job of having us prepared I have to do a better job of of making it go um you know again sucks right now we have opportunity next week Um after the 24 we we’ll turn the page and look towards that. That it’s a loss. Um that’s all it is. Again, uh playing right back’s going to suck. I don’t even know if we have the 24-hour luxury now. Um when it’s, you know, we’re all competitors, it it sucks to have this outcome. Um and then after that, it it doesn’t matter. You know, next week we’re going to be 0 and0. we have to earn the right to try to be one and0 next week. Um it’s going to, you know, go into practice going into the week. So there’s no uh again we we don’t have luxuries to think about big picture think that’s that’s uh you know not a good recipe for this league. Everyone demands our utmost intection. So uh attention so uh we we’ll flip the page and go to next week. Does it make it tougher when the ball um I mean again it’s yeah it’s not going to make the field playing right feel any better. Uh I’m uh they played a great game. Um again, it’s a really good unit. They they turned the ball over. Uh they they did an amazing job of uh you know, creating those turnovers, of doing stuff, and as offense, you know, we we feel obviously we feel bad. Um you know, we we let them down today. I let them down today. Um sucks, but again, you know, we got next week. Um it’s going to suck right now. And then that’s just the nature of this league. You got to flush it and get ready for next week. put you guys in possession first again sucks right now. Um we’re we’re not we don’t have luxuries for big picture not this week. Um you know it was all about being one and0 this week didn’t didn’t happen. So that’s we’re disappointed about. Um we’ll be disappointed for again however long for the plane ride we get back to to to Charlotte. We we have to get back to work and just worry about the next week. Appreciate it. [Music]

  7. Stop with the cliches. We are not moving forward Bryce. You have to do better. When a defense dares you to pass, you have to pass. You have to make them pay. The 49ers ahd the Saints dared you. You have to find a way, on the field to make them pay. That should piss you off.

  12. Hear me out. I think we’re going to be fine..player wise..

    Yes BY should’ve just ran it in. But when you averaged about 5 yards per carry but choose to run the ball less than 40% of the game a horrible offensive struggle is the outcome. This was coaching.

    To point out key player screwups

    1. Yes BY should’ve ran it; but before that why are we passing it anyway?

    2. Tmac had to 2 crucial drops that could’ve kept drives going.

    3. There was an obvious PI call that resulted in a 2nd int.

    The Oline played a heck of a game along with the defensive line.

    We’ll put up a decent game against the rams if our play calling isn’t total bull crap. After that I’m believing we’ll get an additional 2-3 wins. Hopefully both over the Bucs. Good year overall to be honest ; if we make the playoffs even better. Even if we do get booted the first round..I think we have something to be excited about yall.

  19. From what I saw our issue was 90% play calling and 10% offense. Yes Bryce made some mistakes but every QB does. He is trying to make the best of the calls he is told to make. I still believe we will be even better next year. People forget that this has been a major upgrade from the previous years.

    Young is NOT a franchise QB!! He's made stupid plays, throws and interception on 1st and goal on the 2 yard line!!

    We all know as fans you have tonplay better, you echo the samething every time you are on the mic after a horrible game!!

  25. Bryce Young has to try his best and make better decisions cuze seeing him do this every week and saying the same thing every week and making the same mistakes is not gonna change anything. I’m a Panthers fan and want to see him succeed I truly do but making bad decisions isn’t gonna cut it.

  26. the coaching did that on purpose… the play calling was strategically called so that Bryce would not be successful… we have a blue print of the play calls in which Bryce thrives on last week,… why did we deviate from that… nobody is that dumb… 28 yards in the first half.. that was done deliberately …

  28. This kid keeps proving time and time again. He was the worst draft trade in NFL history. Don’t even mention last week verse Atlanta. 56% of his passing yards were yards after the catch. He is statistically, ranked the worst quarterback in the NFL since entering the league.

  29. Look at Drake Maye and the Pats the players believe in the Coach. The players are stepping up, Drake is a second year quarterback, the Pats won 4 games last year, this year 10 wins already. Big difference.

  30. Its all Coaching…Doent Bryce sound like Canales??? Play calling and game planning sucks!! Remember Canales is a Rookie Coach too!! Imo Canales,from pre Season not preparing team for reg Season…Less than 24 pts in 3 preseason games by offense, going into regular season…Lots of bad preparation, and gaming planning

  38. Bryce you did alright. Needed to watch the highlights. There was mistakes all around. But man our defense is capable of competing against top teams I think.

  40. How many years of gotta be better but qb hasnt got better. Sooner or later someone has to be middle of the pack or better. They would have 3 or more wins from decent qb play. Bryce is holding everyone back. Cut Andy and sign someone to give them a shot if needed.
