Julian Edelman’s Take on the Patriots Wide Receivers
Everyone said they had no new no big names before this season. And all I keep on seeing is Diggs with like seven, eight catches. I see Booty with an explosion play here and there. An important got to have it play by Little Pop. Hunter Henry, don’t forget about him. Like they’re distributing the football around. They’re making the plays. It’s time to chill out and it’s time for the chill zone brought to you by Coorsite. Get Coors Light delivered straight to your door. Visit cororslite.comgwn and celebrate responsibly. Hey, what are we doing here, Jackie? Oh man, we got some hotline questions and we got another little little write in Discord question if we had time, but we’re hitting the hotline. We haven’t we haven’t nearly hit it in a while. Julian Edelman, this is the best podcast going and I think you should get Tim Tibo on to cover the playoff win against the Steelers at Mile High. Electric. That was an electric game. That was electric. I’ve seen some like some like conspiracy stuff on that or not conspiracy but like like weird like numbers like 33 seconds or something. There’s a bunch of like Tim Tibo has some numerology type numerology. There’s some like cool stuff about that game. T-Boing. We should do his time. He was so I mean like Lynsanity T-Bo literally took over the world. They took over the world. That was unbelievable. People don’t realize he was and I I saw that he was really famous when he came to our our team. Like this guy, he’s got the T-Bo effect. He said like three books before he was 28. It’s crazy. I mean the aura the aura around that guy. Here’s my question though. Do you think Tibo Are we on his radar at all? Has he heard some of the things we say about him? Someone has someone has sent him a clip of the circumstances guaranteed. Gary’s going to try to not go to that. I know. I’m just curious. But since we did, now’s the time. You’re not going to go there. Every other show, every other 150 episodes we’ve done of this show. He’s cool with the jokes. I’ve seen it firsthand, I think. Would he come in? You think if we invited him, he’d come? I don’t know. He’s pretty big time. I know. He is pretty big time. Jack, you should DM him. I’ll DM him. What’s up, Timmy? Never hurts. Yeah. Uh Josh McDaniels was a coach this year. That’s true. Maybe Josh could put in the good word for us. Josh was the coach. Yeah. Yeah. For the playoffs. Yeah. That was 2011 or 10? I think it was 10. 11. You went to the Super Bowl, right? And lost. Was Josh the head coach of that team? It was a 2011 season. Yes. But 09 Daniels was the coach. Yes. So Josh was there from How many years was Let me see. Josh was in Denver for was it two or three years? Playoffs. Three years. Three years. 09 to 10. Yeah. This is So this is 2010. It was a 2011 season, but it was uh January 8th, 201 Josh wasn’t the coach. He was the head coach of this Broncos team that won a playoff game. So Josh won a playoff game. Wait, was he not gone by then? He was there still. Second year. I know. I’m looking at it right now. That’s pretty crazy. Oh, but hold on. But yes, was Josh the coach? Yeah, that’s what I mean. I’m looking at Tim Tibo, [ __ ] I don’t think he was. John Fox. It was John Fox. Sorry. My bad. My bad. That’s on me. That’s on me. I thought it was Josh. And they went He got fired the year before. Yes. And then he was in he was in St. Louis this year. My bad. In 11. My bad. Sorry. Sorry. Then he came to us. I’m getting all tripped up. The playoffs, I think. We’re in the chill zone. Leaving. We’re chilling, bro. We’re chilling. Hey, Jules. My name is Wayne and I’m from PA. I just wanted to call in and tell you funny little story. Uh, I’m currently 26 and when I was 16 going to go get my driver’s license the night before, I was very nervous and I decided to watch Joan Edelman highlights to hype me up the entire night and I ended up passing my test and I gave all the credit to you. I know that makes no sense at all, but no, man. I just wanted to call and tell you my idol and thank you for all the memories on the past and uh it’s nice seeing you on the podcast. Keep doing well, man. Okay, bye. No dream is too big. Well, that’s funny because that’s what Jack does before shows he’s worried about. Oh my god, that’s awesome. Hey, [ __ ] a cup of folders, baby. I start my day with J1 highlights. Get out of here. Going, baby. Recently on the plane, I watched a 45minute cutup of just Gronk highlights. Nice. Oh my god. Like insane. The stuff that you forget that he did. Absolutely [ __ ] insane. I do that every once in a while. I watch Grock highlights. What’s the last What are the last Kyler, you said Groank, Jules, what was the last guy’s highlights you threw on? I think m I think literally Groank. Really? Yeah, it’s been on my algorithm. I get served a lot of the fire. Fire. Yeah. I think I was watching some uh I think I was watching some Yaoing highlights not that long ago. Yaoing. Yeah. Always fun. It’s kind of a a go-to standard. Who else? We did a lot. We did um for some dudes episodes, we did Dick Buckus. That was a fun one. Those are fire. Miles Garrett. Miles Garrett. Yeah. I was watching some Rude Vin Nissle highlights. I don’t watch necessarily individual. I watch an era highlight. Oh, okay. I like that. Like the 80s7s clanging and banging. Yeah. Clanging. Rocking sum. I used to be big in hockey. You get to be just Don Cher’s rock and sum. The biggest the worst the worst hits of 1993. Yeah. Oh man. Ma’am, what’s next? Jules, I know you said you did your time, but imagine a fourth Super Bowl ring as a wide receiver, coach. Imagine. Probably not going to imagine that one. Is it What is it, Todd Downing now? You’re more likely to suit up playing than you were to coach. No way. Can’t run. You know what’s crazy to me that we don’t talk about enough? Makadoo is still on the staff. Makadoo’s on our staff. Ben Mcadoo with the slick back. I like that. A little bit of a I like that. Maybe he matured. He matured. No one talks about that. The boat pick, dude. I don’t know why. I was just going through the roster right now. I think I remember seeing I was like, “Oh [ __ ] we have Madir when I was out there.” Doug Marone, too. That’s crazy. I know Doug. I know Doug. He’s doing a good job. Ah, that’s crazy, though. Where is he? Shout out to uh Oh, there he is. Shout out to the current wide receivers’s coach. Who’s Todd Downing? Todd Downing. I I spoke with them there. He’s working them. Nice. Yeah. I mean, they’re looking good. Yeah, they got a pretty good unit there. Look, that everyone said they had no new no big names before this season. And all I keep on seeing is Diggs with like seven, eight catches. I see Booty with an explosion play here and there. An important got to have it play by Little Pop. Hunter Henry, don’t forget about him. Like, they’re distributing the football around. They’re making the plays. Austin Hooper, they got guys, man. I like it. Hooper, good committee. Hooper’s made some big plays, too. Booty might like lead the league in like area yards. I was going to say I was just going to say he’s had some big like touchdowns cuz and they’re all just like 40 39 yards just like no no yards after catch. He’s been he’s been really good. Yeah, I mean he’s been really good, man. LSU. He was a number seven guy, right? They were they I remember Josh talking high about him. Yeah, he was seven. He was seven. Yeah. Hey guys, it’s Stacy from Texas and I don’t know what y’all think, but football is on fire and I wanted to know whether you like the duo of Drake May and Will Campbell or um Scataboo and Dart. Let me know. Thank you. Well, thank you Stacy from Texas. Stacy, she she’s a great caller. I love Stacy. She always comes. She always comes with some balls. Is she like a teacher? She knows Bob. season ball. Catch his ball at uh Austin. I like big men. You know what I mean? Yep. Drake May’s big. It’s on record to sing. Did you see you see him next to Gronk in that that interview? Didn’t look small. That means he’s big. Like that. Yep. Yep. And then I met Will Campbell. He’s large. Yep. I like I like I want a lineman in my duo. I’m with you. I need one lineman. I love cat. I love SC Scataboo and and Dart. They’re fun. They’re energetic. They’re energy and and they’re they’re they’re having, you know, unfortunately Scataboo’s hurt. That was disgusting to watch. Yeah. But, you know, I’m going to go Drake Man Campbell. I’m with you on that one. I like these fun young duos in the league right now. Got a lot of them. What are some of the good ones? Listen, Cam Scatteraboo, Jackson, Dart. You got Will Campbell, Drake May, you got Oh, man. Adun Caleb, Roman Caleb is really fun. They’re they’re on a little page. I don’t know that things are going that great down in Washington, but I like the Jaden Daniels and and some of his guys he’s got down there with Debo and then he’s got um about her like what’s his name? My man Scary Terry’s fun, but like they’re two young guys. Too young. You got to be too young. Um they came in together. Uh, what do you got, K? You got anybody? Oh, you got you got down in down in Houston Strad and Yeah. Um, and Tank and Collins. Those are fun. Um, I don’t know. Trying to think here. Two young guys. Send us young guys to to compare. Yep. Jules likes big guys and young guys. Yes. Come on, guys. Big young guys. I like it. And then we got our last one here. This one comes from the world of Discord. It is a question that has also been going viral. This is from David M. If you could delete one sports memory from your brain, what would it be? Delete. Hit that that Men in Black. Delete. No, it’s just a memory. Still happened. Still happened. Oh, it doesn’t You don’t It doesn’t take the play away. No, it still exists. You just don’t remember it. So, a couple of your plays, I’m sure, are already in this category. The Stumble Bump. stumble bum from youth football. Uh I would say there’s there’s a Chiefs FL where I my last year playing. I I like bobbled a ball and I think Honeybadger picked it and pick six did I think. [ __ ] I forgot about that. I don’t like that one. Delete. Delete. What about you, Jack? All of Notre Dame. Oh man. No, I like some of the Notre Dame memories. I like some of my Dmer’s memories. Shout out Coach Marcus Freeman. I think there is a play from the NCAA tournament. Davidson Marquette 2019. Sorry. We ended up blowing that thing. Threw it away. De Man Brooks throws it out of bounds on the baseline. OB inbounds pass. Marquette gets it. Side OB comes down. Scores. Wins the game. I passed out after. I literally passed out. I literally passed out. Like just my body just shut down. I wish I could forget that but can’t. But you actually passed out. I literally passed out. I woke up the next morning smelling the next morning. The next I was like out in my dorm room. Crazy man. That’s one of them. That’s an underrated one. Of course the helmet catch. Of course the Manningham catch. But that’s one that’s a that’s a deep cut for you. Sitting like my dad after too many Nicketses, dude. Dude, I was worried about my guy yesterday. This was 2013 uh Davidson Marquette first round. Number three seed Marquette 14 Davidson. Dude, Frank, I was worried about my guy. He’s back. He’s back though. So I think for me I would like to forget September 11th. Hear me out. 2010 2010 James Madison beats Virginia Tech in Blackburg. That’s what I Oh my gosh. Oh my god. A national day of morning. Never forget. Never forget the Dukes. The Dukes. That was awesome. What a setup. What a setup. We got out beamer ball. Oh. Oh, man. Yeah. Brutal. Okay. Oh, brutal. That was good. That was awesome. The last one. Shout out to those memories that got deleted. If we don’t remember them, they didn’t happen. Yeah. All right. Well, there you go. Jesus Christ. Well, that was our chill zone. And… Mack Daddy Hollins… is doing his MF'n Job!
Sexist beard growing in💥
Tebow Mania 💪 Super fantastic guy, meet him when Florida won National Championship in Miami. Hats off to a real MAN🙏🇺🇲⚓️
Julian is really the real life Pop eye the sailer man and I mean that in the best way.
I'd forget the helmet catch
And the Asante Samuel dropped pick before
Gronks blocking highlights are the best!
Go dukes 💛💜
pop duggy
If there is one thing Josh McDaniels excels at it’s spreading the ball around on offense. Bad for fantasy managers but makes them hard to defend.
Don't forget Mack Hollins he has been MASSIVE
Does anyone realize we had another “BUT” FUMBLE ON TNF😂😂
Pats always making Jets eat ass😂
Jules you know we don’t play big name football.
I go back to the 2015 AFC championship loss to Denver all the time as arguably Gronks best highlights that never get talked about. Dude was converting 4th downs, double/triple covered insane catches, scored, and gets held on a 2pt play to send us to the superbowl. Gronk tried to put the entire team on their back that game.
2:27 Thanks Bud for bringing that up.
I live in Florida and my mom’s friend had cancer and loves the gators and Tebow personally came to her house and talked to her for hours and she passed away a few days later, no cameras or anything. That’s the type of dude Tebow is, just wanted to say that
Your a hero Jules, we love you in NE forever. Glad I found this channel, Its been fantastic. Get Asante Samuel on, talk about his 15 pick season, and his bone crusher hits in the super bowls.
Just say
"Thank Tebow" b4 entering church lol
Dude said said sep 11 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️😂
Josh got fired half way through that season guys cmon
Get Jeremy Lin or Tim Tebow on the pod!!!
I would forget the Tyree helmet catch that lost us the giants
Theres an alternate reality where Jerod Mayo made a grown up decision and took playcalling abilities away from AVP and made McAdoo do it last year, and they look just competent enough to not fire Mayo and Vrabel never comes back and the Patriots wind up being perpetually 9-8.
The Patriots never relied on superstars, they relied on precision, trust, and discipline. That’s how dynasties are actually built
Ed Reed always pops up in my nfl highlight algo. Him and Randy Moss
it's niche, but I'd love to bleach the 2022 Jakobi Meyers interception to the Mac Jones stiff arm pick six against the Raiders from my mind. I was there watching live in the stadium and it felt like the final nail in the Belichick, Mac Jones coffin. One of the most embarrassing ways to lose against a bad team, and a large contingency of my immediate family, who I hadn't seen in a year or more, took a trip from MA to Vegas to experience it with me. They all spent a bunch of money on hotel stays/ rentals cars etc to watch it. It was my surprise 30th birthday present. The vibes started immaculately. We were all in our Pats gear and were all fired up and partying. This couldve been the turning point to a respectable season. We were ready to go 8-6. Not great, but maybe we could eke out a scrappy wild card run. It was a close and an entertaining game up to the point when that dagger was thrust into all of our hearts. It was absolutely devastating. That is when our season clearly and decisively ended. Looking around to all of my loved ones only to see the same expressions of horror that I was feeling made it feel like a bad dream I couldn't wake up from. There's other, and arguably more tragic, pats moments (helmet catch, Miami miracle etc) but that one really devastated me. It was the first time that it felt like "damn, we really are trash. It's going to be years before the pats will be respectable again. AT LEAST. We're the Titans, we're the Browns, we're the Giants; hell…we're worse than the fking Las Vegas Raiders." Maybe it's recency bias, but boy-o-boy, that really felt like the beginning of the end of the franchise as we knew it. There was no coming back from that moment. Total embarrassment and every Raiders fan in that stadium let us know it.
I’d love to forget the Philly special
Edelman, these other guys don't know what they are talking about lol squares
