do not think that Ukapalukinan plays a style of goalender that is conducive to ever having consistent success in the NHL. He does not play in a way that you can consistently succeed in. It just doesn’t happen. He slides around the net like crazy. He overpursues pucks, which we saw on that second goal, and he can’t trust himself. Yeah, you cannot live with that in your crease. It’s why you see the the the chaos that ensues on that second goal off the scramble. The team’s freaking out because he’s freaking out. Yeah, the team was panicking, I thought, on that goal. I think they got into panic mode because like the goalie kind of caused it. They seem lucin on the ground without a stick outside the net, by the way. Exactly. And what are you going to do now? I’m going to start diving around trying to block shots and not playing the puck because I don’t know that my goalie’s in the net. I I I I I struggle to see how anybody that watches the goalending position through eyes like mine looking at it as a goalender can see him and think, “Oh, he can be really good consistently. He can get hot.” And I think that’s what happened when he earned the contract that he earned. He got hot, but he’s never gonna be a 60game stud. I I yeah I will just say it now. I don’t think it can happen. He just doesn’t play the way he should.
