MAJOR Dodgers Plans LEAKED… Multiple Exciting Dodgers Updates | Los Angeles Dodgers News
The Dodgers plans have been leaked as to what the steps going forward are for their upcoming move for an infielder with Bob Bashette being an option. We’re going to be breaking it down, going over what this means, not just for Mookie Betts or Bo Bashette, but also the other names that have been involved in this conversation with one new name emerging as another top target. We’re going to be breaking it all down here in this video with everything going on what the Dodgers plan is going to be next season with all the reports coming out. Before we do jump into this video though, if you haven’t already, ladies and gentlemen, be sure to hit the sub button, join us here on the channel. We’re covering everything Dodgers and we have a lot of stuff coming with, as I mentioned a couple days ago, that first major move by the Blue Jays is now setting in motion a domino effect of moves that are coming. And I’m making a bold prediction. the Dodgers are going to be the next. So, I need to see you guys in the comments and let me know if I’m right here. But, we need to jump straight into this. And going over the past couple of days, everything that has followed after the Dylan C signing with the Toronto Blue Jays. The conversation about Bo Bashette to the Dodgers has immensely intensified and we’ve expected that. The Dodgers were already in on him before the Blue Jays even went out and tried to get another big name. 7 years, $210 million. Can the Blues afford it is the big question. We know they can, but will they is the serious option. And another report has linked the Dodgers to Bob Bashette. But the real question is what is the plan going forward? And you see here, Bob Bashette seemed primarily as an option at second base. LA won’t be the only franchise that views Bette as mainly a second baseman. Now, we’ve expected this. Mookie pretty pretty much found his home on short stuff. We’re not going to take that away from him. I think he will be asked the question if needed, but it’s going to be up to him. I think that is the big kind of idea behind all of this. But with Bob Bashette being an option as well, you have to think about what he wants to do, whether or not he wants to stay on short. He played second in the World Series, his first time doing that in his MLB career. But many people, teams, organizations, people in the know on the inside think that Bobette will be a second baseman. And that gives the Dodgers a golden opportunity. They need one. I think that’s no surprise. Not the biggest need because that is the bullpen. And I do think that the bullpen will be the first thing the Dodgers are going to deal with unless the Bobaet market heats up and they need to make something happen. But with Bobette here listed like this from this article, second base Muki at short, center fielder Tommy Edmond right and left Andy Pes and the utility for Tommy Edmond as well. And of course if Miguel Rojos does resign as expected, he will be another option there. And on third, figured I’d throw it in here, Max Muny, who also will not be playing necessarily every single game. So, the Dodgers have a lot of opportunities here, but this makes the most sense by a landslide and is the biggest look for this Dodgers team. And there are other options. We’re going to talk about one here at the end of this video and also dive into that deeper in a future video. But this looks like one of the best infields in the MLB when you look at Bo Bashette, Mookie Betts, whoever is on third at the time. Let’s just call it Maxy and Freddy Freeman at first. Now the big question of course once again is will Bo play second? He did in the World Series, but did he want to? I think is the major question. That knee injury was something that was lingering, limiting his ability to get back to playing baseball and ultimately only was able to do so by playing second. Looked good out there. Could not run, however, with that knee injury. That’s been no surprise. But when you’re looking at someone for $23.3 million over eight years, will he want to sign that as a second base? That is the one serious question that is out there. I think Bo would. I think the plan has been for the Blue Jays at least to put him on second base for at least a little while before Andreas Jimenez came in here now. But wherever Bo is next year, he’s being paid not for his fielding, but for his hitting. And when you look at a Savant right here, you I’m going to pull it’s a bit small. I do apologize, but at the bottom there, he is in the 1% of range on fielding. B is not a great fielder. But limiting his options to make errors by placing him on second base is one that the Dodgers very much and especially since that is their biggest toll outside of the bullpen. That is what they need to do. Target bow, go after him. He’s among the 99 percentile on batting average. He brings the hitting. Would be a silver slugger for however long he plays at second base, no doubt. So throwing in that mix is certainly one that this Dodgers team needs to attack as soon as possible before the Blue Jays can come out with their mind saying, “Hey, we will be willing to sign him. We’ll be willing to dish out the money if they make a move quicker than the Blue Jays can have it and think about it.” They have a much better chance about getting Bo Bashette. But with all of this kind of coming out saying that this is the Dodgers plan, this is what the Dodgers would do, there still raises a few questions. If Bo doesn’t want to play second, would they play him short? I think that’s one thing that, like I mentioned, would be asked to Mookie Bets. I don’t think they’re going to force him anywhere. I think it will be up to him. Mookie has a very extensive history still in the outfield and on second base. So, there are options, but looking at where we saw him last year, Muki was among some of the top percentiles in the MLB for fielding. We know he doesn’t have the greatest arm, but the fact that he can get to the ball, track that down, and get it to first quick enough so that his arm strength doesn’t necessarily be is a difference maker, this makes infinite sense for the Dodgers. And I mean, having this either Muki and Bo on short or second, whoever you want to put, wherever the option of Mookie being able to go into the outfield, he found that home in short. I think that’s where he’s going to stay. But if they can get Bo, and they know they can get him, but Bo only wants to play short, you know, that question will be asked for Mookie. Now, there’s also a few other names that have been involved and a few that have been thrown out there as of late, which makes this Bo Bashette report infinitely more interesting. And you look at this right here from John Morosce. The Jays and Phillies have checked in on Catel Marte, who the Diamondbacks are open to moving. Now, this is one that you have to imagine the Dodgers would be in on as well. Anybody that is in on Bobette will likely also be in on Catel Marte. Whatever the price would be, we still don’t know. The Dodgers, whatever it is though, can pay him. That we know for a fact. But when you’re looking at Catel Marte, having the difference between, let’s just say him, Bo Bashette, whoever it may be. Catel Marte really is kind of the even ground in the middle. He’s very, very good on the plate. 291 average last year. once again among some of the top percentile in batting average has the power has a lot of the hitting but is also a very very solid fielder and on second base that is another option. So with this report from John Morosce that the Dodgers are in on Bobette the report that the Jays are checking on a Gatel Marte some more questions are being raised as to if the Blue Jays are falling out of their own race for Bob Bette. I really don’t think so. But you have to go and attack this at every single angle. Theorize every single thing that has gone on because at this point right now, I’m loving where the Dodgers are. I really do. A move for the bullpen is one that is going to be made. There’s a lot of options out there. But when you’re looking at quality second base, there’s the one Bob Bashette and now another one being raised in Catel Marte. So, we know that Andrew Freeman, Dave Roberts are already planning something along the lines of having an infield, which will be one of the best across the MLB in terms of not just the fielding, not just your, you know, hitting on that side of things. They’re going to be trying to go for the most evenly matched up possible infield and that will be very capable with either a Catella Marte or a Boba. So, ladies and gentlemen, we will continue to go on and talk about these two here on the channel. Another Catal Marte in full video will be coming soon. But I ask you a few questions before we do finish this one off. Let me know in the comments how would you structure the infield with Bobette? Is it a guaranteed second base for you? Would you try and keep him at short, move elsewhere? I feel like the far the the first the primary is really the big one that I think everybody has their eyes set on, has their mind set on, and I think that is probably the safest option when it does come in terms of fielding, limiting the errors that Bob Bashette has. Pretty good in the infield last year, pretty good defensively, but you want to make sure that those errors are down to none. But one more question because this one is another one, like I said, we’re going to be touching on in another video. Does Catel Marte change your opinion on a Dodgers target? So, would your kind of opinion stray away from Bulberchet perhaps and go more towards a Catel Marte? I’m curious to see what you guys think here about that one in the comments below. That is all I have here on this one though. If you did enjoy, give it a like, hit the sub button.
