BREAKING: BLUE JAYS JUST SIGNED STAR FREE AGENT! Anthony Rendon is RETIRING..?
I literally had one foot out the door when this news broke. I thought, “Okay, it’s time to go to Costco. No news is going to happen today. We’re going to coast through the Thanksgiving and the weekend and nothing’s going to happen.” Well, Dylan Cece, yeah, he said, “Ha, get back inside, Fuzz. Do your job.” So, that’s exactly what we’re going to do. We’re going to break down Dylan CE’s brand new contract with his brand new team. And also, we have to talk about the other breaking story that Anthony Rendone might officially be done in Major League Baseball. Yes, that is another breaking story from today. The reports are saying that the Angels are talking to Rendone’s agent, Scott Boris, to try and get a buyout. Basically, an opportunity for Rendone to get his money early and for the Angels to get a little bit of deferred money or some money off the top. Just kind of shave it off and say, “Rendon, please, for the love of God, you’ve been awful. Just just help us out a little bit.” And that might happen. Anyways, I’m yapping. Let’s talk about Dylan CE to the Blue Jays. Whoa, that is a very bright screen. Hold on a second. Dylan CE is getting a seven-year contract. So he is going to be a Blue Jay probably for the rest of his life. He’s about to be 30 years old. So when you’re Dylan CE and 37 years old, yeah, it’s probably about time to hang it up at that point. So this is a lifetime contract. The reports are saying that it’s anywhere from 200 to $210 million. So the biggest thing that you guys have to remember is that Kevin Gosman, he’s a free agent after 2026. So, this is essentially a security blanket just in case Gossman leaves or now they can trade Gossman because when you can go cease, Trey Savage, Shane Bieber, but then again, Shane Bieber is on a one-year deal, so maybe they trade him. This is just a good security blanket regardless of who leaves or who doesn’t. But let’s just pretend that all of these dudes stay on the squad for the entirety of 2026 and they run it back and try to win a World Series. Maybe it’s another showdown of the Dodgers versus the Blue Jays, which would be a lot of fun. The Blue Jays can now go Kevin Gosman, Dylan CE, Trey Savage, the rookie phenom, who is still going to be a rookie. So, if he goes and wins a Rookie of the Year award, the Jays can get an extra draft pick. Then you can go Shane Bieber, Jose Brios, and just a reminder, Chris Basset, I’m not naming him, not because he sucks, he’s a free agent, so he might not come back. That is a pretty lethal rotation if you ask me. Now, a lot of people on Twitter, I’ve seen the instant reaction that how come a guy with a 4 and a half year is getting 200 plus million dollars. Well, here’s where I might lose some of you because we can’t just look at his 4 and 1/2 year. We have to look under the hood and kind of piece together his stats because there’s more than meets the eye. Why does it sound like I’m quoting Transformers? Sure, Dylan Sees had a 4 and 1/2 RA, but he also had 215 strikeouts in 168 innings. If you’re doing the math, I think he led the league with an 11 and a half strikeouts per nine. That is mythical for a starting pitcher. There’s a stat that I really like. It’s called FIP. is fielding independent of pitching, which is kind of reverse. It’s essentially how good is a pitcher all by himself. The comparison I always like to draw is I don’t even know if this was real, but an urban myth about Satchel Page. One time he was so angry at the opposing team, he looked at his infielders and outfielders and he said, “Go in the dugout. I got this.” And he struck out the side because he didn’t need his defenders. That’s essentially what FIP is. How good is a pitcher all by himself without the bad luck or even good luck of a great defense or a Kyle Schwarber out there in left field? Aaron Nola is a perfect example. His array is always skyhigh and sometimes it’s simply because Nick Costanos and Kyle Schwarber are terrible at getting to baseballs and they drop for base hits and that leads to runs. Same with Zack Wheeler. He’s been bit by the RA bug, too. Wow, I am yapping. But all of that to say, Dylan CE is a whole lot better than a 4.5 year rate. And the Blue Jays, they’re banking on that. And they’re pretty much saying, “Yeah, we know that Dylan CE is a monster. We’re going to get the Dylan CE pass because we’re a whole lot better defensively.” The Blue Jays are obviously chasing that 2022 magical mythical season that CE had where he put up a 2.2 RA. He had a insanely low 6.2 hits per nine and he finished with an 11.1 strikeouts per nine. The year before that, he kept his under four and he had a 12.3 strikeouts per nine. He is one of the nastiest starting pitchers I’ve ever seen. And last year, it didn’t really pan out in terms of favorable luck. His hits per nine was at 8.1, which isn’t awful. He also doesn’t allow a ton of home runs. So, that’s exactly what FIP indicates. How good is a pitcher at striking guys out, not allowing walks, and not allowing home runs? He’s never going to be a Cliff Lee out there or a what was that? Phil Hughes. You guys remember Phil Hughes back in the day? I think he did he he became a YouTuber, right? A card collector. Dylan CE is never going to be that guy unless he has the same approach to baseball as Araldis Chapman. If you guys believe that story that Araldis Chapman allegedly never was locating his fastball until this year. Maybe Dylan CE is doing the same thing. I don’t know. So maybe for Dylan CE all they have to do is say fast ball up, fast ball down, fast ball in and he’s not going to walk as many guys. We all know what the Blue Jays are getting in Dylan CE. a bonafide two starter who when he’s at his best is a bonafide ace. And since 2021, he has routinely thrown 30 plus starts. It’s been 32, 32, 33, 33, 32. He’s led his league in starts three of the last five seasons. I mean, this guy, he’s going to walk his batters. That’s obviously attribute of Dylan CE, but just like Blake Snell, usually he’s going to get out of it by not allowing a bunch of base hits and keeping it on the ground or just striking out the side. To quote my friend Giraffic Mark, “Pitchers tend to age like fine wine a little bit more often than hitters.” Dylan, he’s about to be 30 years old. So, he’s kind of entering his prime, so to speak, as someone who can not only be a flamethrower, but has the veteran mindset and the experience to know how to pitch. If you know, you know. I’m talking about knowing when to throw that slider in the dirt or really get after a hit or not waste pitches. Just maybe you dial it back to 96, 97 instead of 100 miles an hour. And again, Dylan C at almost 30 years old. He’s just going to be a more well-rounded pitcher heading into his 30s, but that’s just me guessing. The Blue Jays are coming out swinging to begin this 2026 off seasonason. I absolutely love it. This is a big get and for the first half of 2026. The fact that they can go Kevin Gosman, Dylan CE, Trey Savage, Shane Bieber, Jose Bereos. I know a couple of those guys could leave after 2026 or they could get flipped at the deadline for some extra young players. But going into the next season, the Blue Jays are some heavy favorites. They just got even better. Now, it’s time to talk about Anthony Rendone. I’m going to keep this pretty beef. I’m rushing, okay? I did not mean to say beef. I meant to say brief, obviously. But the rumors are saying that Anthony Rendone, his career is officially cooked. The Angels are trying desperately to work a buyout with Scott Boris. Whether that means they’re helped out with deferred money, pushing it towards the future so they can free up money for 2026 and beyond, or even just coming to a a nice little Christmas bow where Rendone, he says, “You know what? I’ve kind of I got to take it off the chin. I haven’t fulfilled my end of the contract. I’m going to shave a little bit off and help you guys out.” Which, I mean, Anthony Rendone has shown no inklining of helping out the Angels at all. So, I don’t really think that’s going to happen. I’m expecting a buyout to be the deferred money route. If this happens to me, this will mark the official end of the worst contract in baseball history. Worse than Robinson Canó, Alberpool’s, Josh Hamilton, whatever horrible contract you can think of. The Anthony Rendone contract is the worst of all time. And this proves that. Not sure what happened with my face. I had to redo my outro. I’m going to show the biggest highlight from Anthony Rendone as an Angel. I can’t believe that it was either him swiping at an A’s fan or him hitting a home run as a lefty. Thanks for watching, guys. Let me know your thoughts on Dylan Cisco going to the Jays and Rendone retiring or potentially. Enjoy. Look at him. Look at him doing the hity. Come on. Oh my goodness. Lefthanded Anthony Red dome with the two run home run. I mean, you cannot make this right here. next to me. Baby, stay right here.

In a blockbuster free-agent signing on November 26, 2025, the Toronto Blue Jays agreed to terms with right-handed starting pitcher Dylan Cease—fresh off a 4.55 ERA season with the San Diego Padres but boasting elite strikeout stuff (215 K’s in 168 innings)—on a seven-year, $210 million contract pending a physical, marking the largest pitching deal in franchise history and bolstering their rotation alongside Kevin Gausman, José Berríos, and Shane Bieber as the defending AL champions aim to rebound from a World Series loss to the Dodgers; meanwhile, the Los Angeles Angels are negotiating a buyout of the final $38 million year of third baseman Anthony Rendon’s ill-fated seven-year, $245 million pact from 2019, with the 35-year-old expected to retire after missing all of 2025 recovering from hip surgery and appearing in just 257 games over the prior six injury-plagued seasons, potentially including deferred payments to free up payroll for the perpetually rebuilding club 📝

Get out of here Anthony Rendon bro didn’t even like baseball
Anthony Rendon career been cooked for years now.
imagine if the dodgers signed mr hollywood lifestyle, we're still in a WS drought bc we signed him, SD trade for mookie betts instead and they win a ring with him
Rendons attitude since signing the contract with the angels has been that clip of marshawn lynch explaining "im just here so i wont get fined" to the press only dragged on for as many years as he could get away with
Happy Thanksgiving Fuzzy! Hope you and ur family have a fun and safe Thanksgiving! Thank you for all the videos!
Every time I hear about Rendon all I can think of is when he said he hated baseball but loved the money around it…what an example for kids trying to chase their dream.
Angels have had some really bad contracts, Josh Hamilton, Gary Matthew Jr, to name a few others. But that fact they sat on Rendon this long has made it that much harder. At least with Albert most people knew the decline was gonna be there all the others just flat out underperformed while making big $.
As an O’s fan if we don’t get king or Valdez then I’m becoming a jays fan it’s crazy how little money Mike Elias is willing to spend
Tendon should get a Bobby bonilla deal
Cease is coming to a softer division. He'll be fine.
As a Yankees fan this is not good news. If that starting pitching staff stays healthy they are running away with the division.
your toy display needs a major upgrade
Are they going to use Basset in relief since he did a great job with his different pitching type.
I'm a Mets fan and I think it was Smart for the blue Jays went out and signed Dylan cease. Every pitcher had an off year and people forget that this guy pretty much had had amazing past years and I think he's a positive signing and out of any team why I respect and like the Blue Jays because they can take a pitcher like cease who had a high eta this past season and the blue Jays will turn him into a 2.00 eta. Good for you Blue Jays and especially for their AMAZING BLUE JAYS FAN BASE
Uh, Bobby Bonilla is hands down the WORST contract in MLB history. It's SO BAD the Mets are still paying him 1.19-million/yr since 2011 UNTIL 2035 !!! If it wasn't for todays Weimar Republic inflation – it would be a lot worse.
The cease contract is absolutely terrible in no universe should he make 30m a season lol
Rendon is a real scumbag who quit baseball years ago
Thankful for you Fuzzy you are my favorite YouTuber in terms of baseball recap. I wouldn't of known that Dylan signed with the Blue Jays! Happy Thanksgiving!
Clip at the end was epic!(Sarcasm is amazing!!)
The only highlight I have of Rendón from his tenure on the angels is that lefty homer he hit besides that consistently getting “hurt” and assaulting fans
rendon is a societal dirtbag.
Still no lefty starter. What's Eric's contract like?
Hopefully, Ricky T can make good on his abilities and make the big club I. Some aspect this year
210 mil for 4.55? Insanity times 10!
Stephen Strasburg contract is worse than Anthony Rendon – 7 years – $245,000,000 – one win.
96-97??????
