Bro if we win out and SEA beats the rams that would be so clutch for us bro. I understand Brock didn’t have his best game but if our defense keeps looking promising we will set ourselves up nicely for the playoffs ! Idk how we are still in the playoffs with this banged up roster but I have faith !

  1. Me too dude. I’m optimistic. Everything has lead up to this stretch and a a much needed bye week. We just need to survive Cleveland and get healthy, put in some new wrinkles over the extra week and then come out swinging against an easy titans team.

Even if we the rams get the top seed, as long as we are cleaning up our offense, I will take our chances going to Levis south in the playoffs. Let’s goooo

  2. Control our own destiny. I just want to see this team win a rain/snow game on the road. Haven’t won in Cleveland in a long time.

Fun fact: The last time the 49ers won in Cleveland (1984), they went on to win the Super Bowl.

This definitely isn’t the best version of the 49ers, but this team is scrappy and keeps finding ugly ways to win.

  3. Rams still have three division games left. Those are always tough even if two are against the cardinals

  4. Still a lot of football to play but our remaining schedule looks winnable. Would not be surprised if we lost to CLE or TEN because we always seem to fall to a trap game every year, but CLE, TEN, IND (especially with Jones hurt), CHI, SEA all are games we can win in my eyes.

  5. Oh this season is FAR from over in the NFC West. The competition is tough because we’re all so much better than 90% of the rest the league.

  6. I’ve just been enjoying this season after the nightmare that was last year. The thing I’ve enjoyed most is that they’re winning the games they found ways to lose last year.

After losing all the players the lost in the offseason, only to then lose the key defensive pieces they’ve lost along with other big names who’ve missed significant time and be 8-4 at this point is impressive.

I don’t think they’re winning the Super Bowl this year but I would love to be wrong. My hope and expectations going into the season for a bounce back season and opening a new window to contend. Given everything that’s happened in the offseason and this season, I’ll be happy with them making the playoffs and anything else they do beyond that is a bonus.

But this season has been fun after the train wreck that was last year. The vibes just felt off last year following the Super Bowl loss where this year has felt like a breath of fresh air. On a side note, it would be absolutely insane if they went on some type of 2007 or 2011 NY Giants type of run where they catch all the possible breaks and win some big road games in the process come January.

  7. Gotta have hope. We’re in a better position record wise than a number of other perennial contenders.

  8. There’s really no team this year that makes me worry in the nfc . If anything the other teams fans are more worried about us . We always do well in the playoffs with shanny .

  9. I know “any given Sunday” is a thing but even if they make the playoffs, they ain’t going anywhere. They are too decimated at the defensive front to compete with any playoff team.

  10. I have hope as well. Two very winnable games in front of us then really just need to win 1 more against Indy with a banged up Jones, Seattle with Big-Game-Darnold, or Chicago who I don’t believe is as good as their record and have a roster with little big game experience themselves.

Once in the playoffs even if we are one-and-done the experience for the young guys going through the preparation and being in the atmosphere of a playoff game will be invaluable.

I’m also not convinced that we are doomed to one-and-done. NFC playoff field is full of teams with question marks (besides the Rams) and I think our offense can get on enough of a roll to go win a shootout.

Besides, even if chances are slim I think it’s worth every bit of fight to try to claw our way down to Levi South for a chance to spoil what is one of the clearest paths to the Super Bowl the SOSAR have seen in a while

  11. I’d love 2 rams losses. Seattle & Detroit losses or Seattle/Arizona would make me very happy.

  12. Making the playoffs makes this season a success considering the injuries. But thats where the expectations stop for me. Anything after that is just a big plus. There’s a fine line between having faith and being realistic. Im hopeful, but the other NFC teams are far more balanced than us… and most importantly, they’re healthier.

  13. Love the optimism but the Niners defense only looked great against a terrible offense. As for Brock, I’m sorry but that noodle arm isn’t taking this team very far. Beat chance they have is with Mac. At least he has some zip on his passes. Fact of the matter is that to be successful in the NFL, a QB needs fairly strong arm to fit passes into tight coverage. When your passes look like lobs, even on short routes, then they will be easy pickings for the secondary.

Again, I’m all for optimism but we as fans should be honest with ourselves. The team is aging, the window is about closed and Shannahan is just not that great at coaching as we thought he would be. He is too loyal to certain players, to cautious when he shouldn’t be, over practices the team leading to injuries and is overall just a very stubborn and unadaptable person and Lynch has had to many swing and misses in the drafts. They have missed out on so much top tier talent. To top it off, he refused to make a trade for either the D or O line before the deadline. That is unforgivable. Had they at least traded for a pass rusher and/or some decent protection for the QB, they’d have a good chance at actually winning the SB.

I am generally a half full type of person but I’d rather not be disingenuous. This team is past it’s prime and too injured to make a deep run.

  14. Last year was “why the hell are we losing!?” This year is “how the hell do we keep winning!?”

  15. Have faith/hope for what? Are we a playoff contender? Absolutely.. will we win the Super Bowl? Anything is possible butttttt absolutely not. We have had way better teams than this contend for the bowl and we didn’t pull it off. Not trying to be a hater just being realistic. And I’m super impressed the way we have played so far. We would absolutely be Super Bowl contenders at full strength
