Nobody is giving that for a 30 year old Sherwood. If someone gives up a 1st round pick you take it and run.
I wonder what the asking price for Boesser was last year. 2 firsts and a McDavid?
Wow. I was starting to question this management team but all is forgiven when we get Celebrini and a 1st for this guy.
If there is high demand, you never know. Lots of potential buyers, not a lot of sellers…

It’s a high ask but I wouldn’t rule them out getting it. He’s cheap and no commitment and he scores and hits. A playoff team would value him
I can see why the Canucks would want that price. Guy is on a career year, manageable cap hit and plays super hard in the playoffs. That being said I think the most they get is a second and a prospect.

A contender giving a first plus is basically like Beecher plus mynio. Not exactly a huge pay

Uh, why not put him (our leading scorer) on the first unit PP? DeBrusk and Brock don’t work that great together and both like permimenter and don’t go to the net as often as they should.

Correction: I read somewhere that the plus COULD be a prospect. So I believe it’s just a 1st + something.
A few days ago it was only a second so I’m not surprised he has gone up in value after hearing the attention he is garnering
Having more than one 1st rounder this draft will be amazing. Love Sherwood, but let’s do it.
For a guy who hits and scores and plays in every situation? We should easily be able to get a 1st at minimum.
Watch us trade him for nothing close to this return and then his new team flip him for more than what we got. It would be a such Canucks moment for sure.
Sherwood is insane, for people saying he’s on a heater blah blah, remember he nearly potted 20 last year and *obliterated* the hits record. And he’s on a bargain contract. There are literally 20 teams buying this. He would look amazing on any contenders bottom 6.
Plus more if he signs a contract in offseason with that team or extension in season.
Sums up this subreddit that people believe this.

Pretty vague.. top 10? Or 25-32 pick? The latter, mediocre prospects.
Alvin and Rutherford shouldn’t be allowed to make any deals based on their track record and complete lack of team identity and direction.

Ask yourself why we’re in a rush to trade Sherwood for a 1st immediately. I guarantee the plan is to package that 1st along with another ‘vet’ to get a 2C.

you can get a prospect, it just might not be a very good one. But I’m glad the canucks are aiming high are looking to get draft picks too

Sure, let’s give away one of our hardest working players and current top goal scorer so we can do a half assed rebuild-on-the-fly yet again. Trade Quinn as well since he clearly hates it here. Let’s fumble generational talent just for a “maybe” in the future with some first round picks.

That’s kind of what Tampa paid for each of Coleman & Goodrow, but they had another year of team control.
Even just a first-round pick for a guy who went undrafted is insane.
