Gotta See It: Canucks’ Elias Pettersson Scores From His Knees For Crazy Goal

Heronic goes back. Watched by Will Smith. Sends the puck around near side. De Brusk takes Dickinson off the puck to allow it to escape the zone. Oh, what a play by Patterson. Knocks it to himself. He’s in. He’s hooked. He scores. Well, falling down, Elias Patterson. What hand eye coordination throughout that entire sequence. And he gives the Canucks a 2-1 lead. And turns the day so quickly. He knocks this out of the air away from Tofoley. Ascarov plays this terribly in goal here. He thinks the shots here now he’s out of position and it ends up banking in off of the right pad of Ascarov. Look at the play here out of midair away from Tofoley. Gets knocked down by Celabbrini and it ends. [Music]

Watch as Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson pulls off the unthinkable while shooting from his knees at a crazy angle to beat San Jose Sharks’ Yaroslav Askarov and give the Canucks the lead.

  1. At this point we should keep EP40 a Canuck who cares Hughes is still leaving. Quinn is critical but if he is gone you don’t have to sell all your talent.

  2. Macklin Celibrini is secretly cheering this goal by Petterson. Just like John Tavares and his Leafs pajamas before him, Celibrini will one day play for Vancouver but for right now he cannot show that he is a die hard Canucks fan.
