you see from your team here tonight? Yeah, I thought we played pretty good. Um, thought Levy played really well in nets. Um, obviously we battled back to tie it up and then uh they get a bounce there late on the power play and then uh just couldn’t find another one to tie it up again. You mentioned the chances in the offensive zone, you and Timmy really creating it seemed. What was working and what’s the challenge of doing so against a good big defensive form? Yeah, I they play man so uh I think it’s more get ting the puck, try to get to the net. um get some picks for him. Um I thought he was great tonight. Um same with DP, just opening up space. Um you know, a few bounces we could have scored a few more, but um yeah, I thought we generated quite a bit. You mentioned Levy as well. What does it mean for the group to get a performance like that where he’s got your back throughout the duration of a close game? Yeah, know it’s huge. I think we we saw it a lot last year. played extremely well and then I think he’s back in that groove now playing confident uh seeing the puck well and uh unlucky bounce there on the second one for him. Um but uh no, he’s playing great. Two and one now through California going on to Vegas. What’s the key to bring uh the same energy going into the next game as well? Yeah, I think we’re playing every second day. So just try to recoup um get some rest. See, we got another good team uh next game against Vegas. So um play the same way we did tonight. and I think we’ll have a good chance. Scoring Frances so hard to come by in the two games. Just what is it stylistically about the matchup that that made things so hard to come by? Yeah, I know they’re I think they’re a big big physical team. Uh protect the net well. Uh they they’ve been known to defend really well. Um even all the way back when they’re winning winning cups. So, uh I think that’s always been their mindset over there and obviously they’ve came they’ve came close in the playoffs a few years to being the Oilers just on tonight. What do you see from the team overall in this one? Uh yeah, I mean uh it’s two really good teams out there. Uh it’s not much going on. I mean we we both play a really good game. Um and then uh yeah uh they get the win at the end, but yeah, tough loss. What’s the challenge in a tight game like that to get in on the forche and create those opportunities? You guys did have a lot of opportunities tonight. What’s that challenge like against a bigger decor like the Kings? Uh yeah, I mean we’re going to get it deep on them, you know, make them turn and and um hold on to the puck down there, win some battles down there and uh create from there and uh um yeah, they do a good job and we we’re trying our best, too. But um yeah, like I said, a tough loss. Another tight game here on the road, a few of these so far on the trip. What do you take from these first few games going into the rest of the trip now on Vegas? Uh yeah, I mean, I think all of us feel really good where we at right now. Uh we always want to get better everyone and uh uh we keep we keep going here on the road you know uh uh we lost today but I mean the sun goes up tomorrow again you know and uh try to win the day tomorrow. Much does the importance of special teams get magnified in a game where there’s so little scoring opportunities both ways. Uh yeah, I mean some nights the puck doesn’t go in uh like a lot, you know. Uh we’re trying we’re trying to keep our game tight, you know, and play our game. And uh um we have other team on the ice we’re facing and they do a good job too. So I mean um some some nights are tougher than others one tonight. Close game. What’ you see from the group here tonight? I think you nailed it. It was just tight game tonight. Both teams checked well. They get a bounce at the end of the game and uh you know I think really what decided was a bounce. What worked in the offensive zone? A lot of good looks as the game went along. Yeah, I don’t know. I don’t know if we had a lot of good looks. Uh you know, but we worked hard. I thought it was a tight checking game exactly like we saw at home. Uh we wanted to get more pucks into the paint than we did at home. And uh I thought we did that. Give their goalie credit. He made some good saves. Levy played great and it came down to a bounce. How important is that for a performance from Levy like that where he hasn’t played in necessarily a while? It’s nice to see him play well.
