Bengals vs. Ravens Reaction 🏈 Joe Burrow wins in return, can they make the playoffs? | SportsCenter

Damen Woody joining us now here on Sports Center. So Damen, Joe Burrow returns and leads the Bengals to a win. What did you see from number nine in his first game since week two? Yeah, I saw a guy that was moving around pretty well. That was the one thing I was looking out for considering his lower leg injury that held him out of nine games. I thought he maneuvered in and outside the pocket. He was accurate with the football. He was decisive. He pretty much looked like the old Joe Burrow, which is kind of scary if we were if we’re thinking about the Cincinnati Bengals coming down the stretch. Yeah, 261 yards, two touchdowns. Not a bad game for Joe Burrow. And he looked good doing it. Hooking up with Jamar Chase right there. And you know what, the Ravens, let’s talk about them. They snapped their fivegame winning streak. Some key mistakes offensively. Damen, how concerned are you with this type of game for Lamar and these Ravens after they had that win streak this game? Yeah, I mean, listen, five, you know, five turnovers, you’re not going to win any game, you know, turn the ball over five times. But if you, anyone who’s been watching the Ravens as of late, you know, there’s some there’s some concerning signs, particularly on the offensive side, you don’t see Lamar Jackson running as as as well as he used to in the past. It looked like he’s injured out there playing with the injury and this offense just not able to run the ball as as we’ve once seen with the Baltimore Ravens. So, you know, they’re six and six. They fall into second place behind the Pittsburgh Steelers. They got to figure this thing out or Baltimore could be in a position where they’re on the outside outside looking in um come the end of the season. Yeah. And they can’t have five turnovers. Okay, more from Damen in a bit. All right, let’s talk about implications here. The Bengals win and snap a four-game losing streak, their first win since October 16th against the Steelers. Cincinnati had lost eight of their last nine entering Thursday’s game against the Ravens. And unsurprisingly, all of those losses came without Joe Burrow. The Bengals are now a perfect three and 0 with Burrow starting under center this season and just one and eight with anybody else without the last name Burrow. It won’t be easy, but the Bengals still have a slim chance. Oh, you’re saying there’s a chance? I suppose so. They have their work cut out for them as they head to Buffalo next week, followed by a rematch against the Ravens. All right, Damian, let’s play the so you’re saying there’s a chance Jim Carrey thing here. The Bengals are still alive in the AFC North. What are their realistic chances to save this season and make the playoffs now that Burrow is back? Yeah, listen, tonight was a great night, but it’s ever so slim. I mean, their margin for error is next to nothing. And here’s the thing. Tonight they this defense got five turnovers, but look at the body of work this whole season when it when it when we talk about the Cincinnati Bengals defense. They’re the worst defense in the National Football League. So, we can’t realistically count on the Cincinnati Bengals defense creating that many turnovers moving forward. They’ll be able to score points. No, no doubt about it with Joe Burrow and getting T. Higgins back and Jamar Chase company, but this defense is still a real big issue for the Cincinnati Bengals. So, it’s interesting. What do you talk about that the defense being an issue? Maybe they don’t have such a great chance to make the playoffs, but what kind of lift does it give a team for Joe Burrow to come back anyway and continue to perform and continue to play even though it really looks like their playoff chances are slim? No, it just speaks to the character of Joe Burrow. Think about it. You know, you missed nine games. Your your team is sitting at, you know, what is it like four and you know, four and eight or whatever whatever the record is. you know, and you know, the season is basically almost over. You’re you’re hanging on by by a pulse, you know, for the Cincinnati Bengals, but your guys still out there playing. You know, there’s some guys who could have easily would would have folded up and said, you know what, this season is lost. I’m not playing. But Joe Burrow just showing like, look, man, I I love playing this game. We’re, you know, getting paid to play a kids game. And I’m sure his teammates respect him for doing that. 1. They’re in the same situation that they were in last year, except the AFC North is ridiculously wide open. Even if they go 8-9 they have a chance to win the division

  2. Their quotes are misleading. Bengals went 1-8 without Burrow makes it sound like the other QBs did bad. Flacco did good. Bengals went 1-8 because the defense forgot how to play defense while Burrow aas gone. Flacco was putting up 40 points to still lose

  3. `Burrow,being,out on the field.Elevates,the whole team.Too bad he got hurt.had he not.The Bengals,could be 13-0.He,is 3-0.In the games.He has played in.This year.Too bad,he is a china doll.And gets hurt so easily.He has missed,.half the games.He could have played in.During,his 6 years in the NFL.All, do to various injuries.

  4. Harbaugh and his coaching staff are TERRIBLE. Lamar, Lamar, Lamar. He,s the only player you need to put on the field. Lol. Derrick Henry. Hello. He's on your team. Breaking records weekly now. You coaches should check your roster. He does play for you. Guess that's to obvious. 10 rushes for 60 yards. That's 6 yards every carry. My fault, guess that's to obvious also. Please trade Derrick Henry to a contender. He deserves to win. Your wasting his time and talent in Baltimore.

  5. I don't know what it is about that white boy that I love but joe borrow is one of the Dead Point accurate quarterback I have ever seen and to top it off he real militant for a white boyπŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

  6. Burrows showing the world what an elite passer looks like…Lamar showed that he will never be an elite passer no matter what his fan base says….never.

  7. LCJ = Lamar Choke Jackson. Usually this happens in the playoffs. He got an early start this year. The Ravens suck and will never win a championship, not to mention a superbowl with Lamar. They continue to beat themselves. Lamar does not have the mental fortitude to perform in a winning manner. And it's not just on him. The whole team is self defeating. What a shame with all of the talent they have.

  8. Lamar Career playoff turnovers: 11 total

2018 Wild Card vs Los Angeles Chargers
    1 INT, 1 lost fumble

2020 Wild Card vs Tennessee Titans
    1 INT,

    2020 Divisional) at Buffalo Bills
    1 INT,

Lamar Jackson: they gonna get a Super-bowl out of me

  9. We have never seen a quarterback like Joe Burrow in Cincinnati Bengals history. Their is no quarterback in the NFL that I would rather have than Joe.

  10. Burrow looked pedestrian lol Ravens beat themselves and turned it over 5x.. Cincy isn’t making the dance who cares Lamar’s 6-2 career v Burrow a squirrel gets a nut every once in a while
