  5. Sometimes I feel like Arthur Morgan listening to Dutch rambling on about one more score. Hearing the same talking points over and over about a good young core eventually making the roster and the script changing, not using assets to immediately make the team better, just a few more drafts,just a few more years of failure.

I have seen some stupid ass takes in my time here, but by far, the worst takes are coming from this crop of people who are blaming the Red Wings’ losses on a lack of leadership from Dylan Larkin. It’s one of those things that forces you to come to terms with the fact that we are living in an intelligence-optional world.

  12. Before the season started, the media hyped over and over how important it was for McClellan to teach his system during camp, that it would make a difference. Now, after a series of ugly losses, the message is that they still need to “clean things up”. Is that just a euphemism for “we don’t have the players that can execute the system”?

  13. What would it take to get the next two years of Quinn Hughes and the possibility to resign him with our cap flexibility? I’d trade one of Kasper/Danielson, this years first, Cossa, plus another asset. I feel like he’s the kind of piece that takes this team to a playoff spot overnight. What would you be willing to give up?

  16. One of the reasons the Red Wings are sliding down the standings is the loser point. There’s a record number of games going to overtime. But not for Detroit. If we lose, we get blown the fuck out. Other teams take that extra point from time to time and stay on course.

    It’s annoying that with most every other team the 3rd pairing defense are mostly forgettable minute eaters but in Detroit they cost games and playoff points. They should just be unnoticeable plugs really but here they’re stars…

  23. The amount of blame on coaching and the plans is kind of crazy. This roster sucks. All the vets everyone has complained about are the same vets in the break the past 3 years. And yes – most of them have always sucked and played in roles they weren’t good enough for.

  24. All I want for today’s game is a Kane goal and a kasper point. I feel like they are both experiencing some mental blocks. I feel like Kane is to worried about the Olympics, he needs to kiss that dream goodbye.
