Great dub vs Pistons. Teams coming to form.

  1. The only solution, trade Paolo for Wemby.

Lol, don’t listen to people’s “logic”. They’ll be the same ones jumping up and down for Paolo when he drops 30 in his second game back.

  2. Despite the offense seeming more fluid since Paolo took a seat, I’m not advocating trading the man. First, I can’t imagine getting equivalent value for Paolo on the trade market. There just doesn’t seem to be a realistic trade that makes us better after losing him. It’s also the job of our coaching staff to figure out what the issue is and fix it. That’s what good coaches do. If we can’t figure out how to integrate Paolo into this offense, maybe Mike Malone or someone can. In the grand scheme of things, this is a good problem to have. This will work itself out organically and we will be stronger because of it.

  3. You absolutely shouldn’t trade Paolo. The team as a whole is not better without Paolo. That’s obviously true.

But, they do win more over the last two years.

Orlando is 25-18 without Paolo, and 27-31 with him (compared to 18-24 for the Spurs without Wemby and 30-29 with him).

So as I’ve said many times, the point isn’t that you should trade Paolo. That’s ridiculous. The point is figuring out a way to integrate Paolo into what the team obviously does well without him once he’s back.

  4. Bad comparison. Wemby has an elite on/off every single season since his rookie season. Banchero has been on a negative on/off almost all his career.

There are clear concerns about banchero taking the next level atm, but I wouldn’t go so far as saying he hurts the team or trade him. But it’s not a fair comparison

  5. That’s exactly what Austin Rivers was saying. “If you’re saying trade Paolo, I need you to lay off the drugs, stop what you’ve been smoking, and get help.”

  6. Different teams, different players. Nice try though. You guys sure do love your ill-fitting analogies.
