Islanders fear Kyle Palmieri tore ACL on Friday but hope for good news from imaging. Palmieri somehow assisted on a goal after the injury as he hobbled off the ice.
It was fun watching good hockey while we were able to.
Could tell that the second he grabbed at his knee from how he went down.
Seasons over if he’s out.

Ummm….how bad is a torn ACL in hockey?
I guess the injury bug has decided this season has been to exciting for the fans
Obviously hoping it’s not that serious but if Palm really did tear his ACL in that moment, the clip of him assisting on the Heineman goal (which is already making the rounds outside of Isles-community posts) is going to go down as an all-time “hockey player toughness” clip.
I guess our allotment for having a good team is over again

Between this and Romanov, it really sucks to lose two great guys in the lineup. The work they do doesn’t always show up in the box score but their contributions are understated. It’ll be tough sledding to make the playoffs without those two
Tspy gotta earn that 2m he’s getting now
At this rate we’ll be using Boqvist as a forward. I say we put him, Holmstrom and Heineman together and just see what the Swedes can do as a unit.
We’re going to see that assist on highlight reels for a very long time I think which is the only (teeny tiny) positive to come from this.
