Does, Joe have an o line for once🥹

  1. Yes. It’s been clear after the early issues because the line had not been working together, but this line is probably the best he’s ever had.

  2. Sans the Super Bowl year run, I feel like this is every Zac Taylor O-line ever since. Start off terrible, put it together mid season and look like an above average to pretty good line the rest of the way.

  3. I have been saying this.

My friends are a bunch of non bengals fans so they like to rag on our o-line but this has honestly been the best it has been in years. I’m not calling it an elite unit by any means but it has certainly been suitable at least in terms of the passing game.

I love Burrow as much as anyone else on this sub but I think Flacco coming in exposed Burrow’s penchant for extending plays far beyond what they ought to be extended for. A percentage of sacks are for sure due to Burrow’s refusal to throw away the ball.

We got a lot to be happy about on offense, and if the defense keeps it up I’m really happy with their second half of the season too. Regardless of playoff implication this can be a good young team that hits a sophomore stride next year.

  4. This is what I thought before the season. That this was the best line they’ve had in The Burrow Years. Looks like it’s finally turning a corner which can only give hope for future years since they’re all pretty young outside of Karras, notwithstanding Risner who is a one year rental so far as Rivers comes through.

  5. There was one on Thursday on the left side of the line, where if they didn’t pickup the Blitzer, Burrow would have been absolutely blindsided, destroyed.

Everyone seemed better than usual Thursday.

  6. I really hope Thursday was a ray of hope for our defense and o-line and not just an indictment of how bad the Ravens are this year

  7. Maybe. I think the ravens are the worst pass rushing team in the NFL. But even so, it was a great job by the o-line

  8. Incoming 4+ sack game, you can’t notice something is going good on this team or else it’ll implode on itself

  9. Saying “for once” is doing a disservice to the OLines in 2022 and 2023 that were actually above average. It spiked back towards bad last year because of guard play, but the line hasn’t truly been awful since 2021. Pressure rates are a great way of evaluating the pass blocking capabilities of an OLine, and his pressure rates in 2022 and 2023 were quite low.
