I wanted Vrabel and could not be happier with him, but Ben Johnson would have been a lot of fun too.

  1. Yeah happy with Vrabel but I can also recognize that a lot of the talk surrounding Johnson was nonsense.

  2. I’m skeptical of wonderboy coordinator types as head coaches, but, he’s certainly off to a good start.

But, even McDaniels had his moments early on as head coach.

  3. I was rooting for Johnson, had some reservations about brining back a dynasty guy, but I was proven wrong, Vrabel has been amazing, and just what this team needed.

Maybe Johnson would have been great too, but I wouldn’t trade Vrabel for him.

  4. They have a cool story there, but this is rookie HC stuff you are looking at. Nobody is going to keep doing that shit for too long.

Not saiying Ben Johnson isn’t great, he is, but it’s little silly.

  5. Happy we have Vrabel. The positive thing with Ben is he’s HC and big part (most) of the offense.

If Patriots lose McDaniels for whatever reason the offense likely takes a hit

  6. I think both coaches ended up going to the places they needed to be at. Would’ve loved Johnson but Vrabel was the guy we needed.

  7. Vrabel got down, and mucked it up with our first round pick before they even selected him. He’s the guy for this team.

  8. Why are we even talking about this? We are a better team, with a better coach, and a better QB. Don’t be such a cuck.

  9. Ben Johnson is fun, but I think Vrabel’s mentality is much better long term. I love that after every win he makes sure the guys know there’s still a lot more to improve and they can get so much better.

A week 13 win means nothing. Act like you’ve been there before, Vrabel understands the mentality it takes to win a Super Bowl. You can celebrate with your shirt off in February.

  10. Bears fan here, Ben was my #1 and Vrabel #2 for wishful hires. Either would’ve clearly been the right pick

Vrabel just bleeds Boston in every way shape or form and it just felt perfect for him to be back in NE

Ben is the perfect fit for the Bears and is completely turned out organization from dysfunctional to solid.

I think both teams would’ve been fine had the coaches been flip flopped but I think they’re both in their true rightful homes

  11. As a fan of both franchises (dad is from Chicago) this year has been absolutely awesome. Especially after the double turd casserole last year.

  12. Selecting Jerod Mayo over Ben Johnson in 2024 was one of the dumbest decisions in Patriots history. Pats are very lucky they quickly recovered from it.
