Can Shedeur Sanders Make HISTORY Against The 49ers? Cleveland Browns News

[Music] [Music] Can Shador Sanders make history this Sunday? Cleveland Browns franchise history that is the only Browns rookie quarterback to start 2 and 0 is Bernie Kosar. Welcome into the Browns report everybody. I am your host Joey Odon Hugh Shadore is 1 and 0 already as a starting quarterback in the NFL. 2 and 0 would be electric. The Browns fans would rally, the media would hype it up, and everybody was getting hyped up when it happened on Sunday. Look at this. We were the most viewed watch party here at Chat Sports, folks. It’ll be this Sunday, an hour before kickoff for Shador’s next start. Let’s talk about the Browns and 49ers matchup here because there is some positive signs that actually favor the Cleveland Browns. Kyle Shanahan’s record vers Jim Schwarz defenses in his career. He is 1 and8. Schwarz has had his number. We sort of know his system. Kyle Shanahan was a part of the Cleveland Browns coaching staff not too long ago with Mike McDaniel on that staff as well. Folks, we had a lot of names cycle throughout uh the Browns coaching history. Belich was Cleveland Browns head coach as well at one point. The last time the Browns and Niners met was two years ago. I remember watching this game. I’m sure you guys do, too. October 15th, Jake Moody missed a 41 yard field goal. That should have been a chip shot to seal it for them. They kicked on third down and he missed it. Wide right. Browns win 1917. We had some good luck against the Niners. Some good luck against Kyle Shanahan. I’m just saying history sometimes repeats itself. and Shadore will be the starting quarterback as we know that is confirmed. I think he looked pretty good in that Raiders game with over 200 yards. I think he did what we needed him to do, what was asked of him and he said this week that’s what he’s going to do. He said, “I’m just going to go do my job. That’s what his goal is.” So, here’s what I’m seeing with Shadore as the starting quarterback so far. Number one, as I projected, there were more deep shots in that football game. He averaged over 10 air yards per attempt. No other crowds quarterback has done that. So, it opens up your offense. It opens up your run game because there’s a threat to throw the ball deep now. And so, teams have to account for that. Maybe we can finally free up Judkins a little bit, too. I like have him to have a good game against the 49ers. So, with Shadore actually taking some shots, things have opened up for the Browns. I think the best one I saw that we’ve been talking about all week, rightfully so, is this 52yd completion to Isaiah Bond. Have you seen a play like this all season long for the Cleveland Browns? Seriously, think about it. Throwing on the run, evaded the pressure, hits Isaiah Bond in the numbers. Dime dropping the bucket. What an impressive throw. I mean, he was blitzed. That was him making the play to get out and throw it deep. He also had a completion to Judy that went for 39 yards. This would have been another scoring drive for the Cleveland Browns here. And then, you know, Judy just starts doing this little high stepping boneheaded play where he doesn’t see a Raiders defender and fumbles it. You know, Judy said in his press conference, he was trying to make a play, but he’s just had too many moments like this this season where it’s like, Judy, man, you’re a bit of a hotthead, my guy. Let’s pick it up. help out the rookie quarterback. So, there were more deep completions and shots than we’ve seen. And I think if we really did build a team around Shadore, it would look a lot better than what it’s been this year for other Browns quarterbacks. There’s also just more energy with him out there. There’s more excitement. This will be a home game for the Cleveland Browns. The fans are going to show up and show out. They did in Vegas. Imagine in Cleveland what the atmosphere is going to be like. It just fires up the players too. They love him. Miles Garrett’s reaction after that Shador completion of Bond. He’s totally into it. He was couldn’t believe it. He said after the game, there’s not many quarterbacks in the league that can make that throw. I mean, guys, the players love him. Miles loves him. Mary Kay gave us a report a couple weeks ago to verify this, saying he is very, very well-liked in that locker room. He brings a lot of lightness and fun and humor to the situation. His teammates really really like him a lot. I think they’re going to go out there and they’re going to play very very hard for him and they’re going to support them him and that’s what we’ve seen. Delpit talked about it today too. Like the players love him. They’re rallying around him. Like I said, Miles saw that bond throw and said not many guys in the league could do that. They’re here. They’re ready. The fans are into it. advantage Cleveland with the home game home field advantage. It’s exciting. It brings a new element of electricity juice that the Cleveland Browns have lacked. So get ready for it, Browns fans. Get ready. The Ners are favored in this one. Believe they’re minus six. And so gone down to four and a half. Vegas knows Cleveland’s creeping up. The fans will be into it. And I like Cleveland in it so far, ladies and gentlemen. I really do. We’re going to talk about that on the back half of the show. Don’t you worry. They’re not projecting too many points for us either. But I think, like I said, it’s going to be a little bit more juice. It’s going to be more deep shots than we’ve seen. There’s going to be more energy, more excitement. The crowd is going to be into it at Huntington Bank Field. And now, let’s talk about the Browns defense going up against the 49ers offense. The Browns defense just totally got to the Raiders. 10 sacks was remarkable. And it’s all led by Miles Garrett. Big 95 having a historic season. I mean, we’re watching greatness. We’re watching the best player in the NFL. He’s got 18 sacks. That’s more than anyone else. He could break the NFL single season sack record, which is 22 and a half. He’s almost there, ladies and gentlemen. Also has 26 tackles for loss. He’s constantly in the backfield. He’s unguardable. That’s more than anyone else in the National Football League. It is absolutely incredible. And the 49ers quarterback, Brock Perie, well, his stats against the Panthers might excite you. He threw three interceptions and had a 58.5 quarterback rating. That’s against the Carolina Panthers. Only 193 yards as well. Cleveland’s defense could have a field day with him. I think they really could. They’re going to make it tough on him. If he plays anything like he did against the Panthers game, the Browns will win this football game. Now, what the scary part of it is the Niners still came away and won that football game against the Carolina Panthers. I mean, they won that one 20 to9 and the Ner’s defense picked off Bryce Young twice. This is the scarier part of it. Yeah, I like our defense a lot better. I like our defense over their offense, but once again, it’s going to come down to the Cleveland Browns offense. Can they do enough to win? I really do expect the Browns defense to keep us in it, to make it easy for us, set it up on a platter like they’ve done in multiple games this season that we haven’t closed. The Raiders game, we did close their amazing defensive performance. But how many times have we seen Miles Garrick go for five sacks against Drake May and we get blown out. See what your door can do after the Browns defense shuts down Brock Perie, missed three picks last game. You’re going to hear Niners fans calling for M. Jones after we’re done with him. Get ready, Browns fans. It’ll be exciting. The thing I am worried about on their offense though is Christian McAffrey. Running backs this year that have receiving upside like Jir Gibbs have done well against the Browns defense. The just pure running backs like Josh Jacobs, Derrick Henry, we shut them down. But those that have receiving upside have broken a couple big plays. So McCaffrey, even Stfansky talked about it. But it’s like you kind of just have to live with him. He’s one of the best players in the league. One of the most versatile players ever. So again, defense can only do so much. It’s going to come down to the can the offense do enough to win this football game if the defense sets us up in a good position. We will need big plays from Shadore just like we got in the Raiders game. Three offensive touchdowns on Sunday, folks. Shador’s 52 yard completion on third down set us up to score that touchdown. Like we’re going to need a couple plays from the quarterback. I think Shadore gives us a better chance to do it. Be the fortune teller. Predict the score of 49ers Browns. Call it right now.
